The Charming Villain Just Wants To Be A Salted Fish - Chapter 20.2
Joyce was shocked and looked at his arm.
She didn’t know how a snake was raised on blood, but this Primogeniture had gone too far. The Primogeniture was already dead for a thousand years and still wanted to mess up the descendents like this.
Long Aotian suddenly stopped.
“Your Highness Joyce, please head straight down this road.”
Joyce was surprised. “What are you trying to do?”
“I’ll distract them.”
“No,” Joyce blurted out without even thinking.
In a situation like this, if he were to distract those soldiers, he would basically be mince meat. Although Long Aotian was foolish, he had been diligently following her for such a long time, so how could she let him take a huge risk to save her?
As she grabbed him and continued running, she pulled out a knife, about to make a nick on her hand. But on second thought, she pulled Long Aotian’s hand and made a small cut.
“…” ·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ ꜱᴜᴘᴘᴏʀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴀɴꜱʟᴀᴛᴏʀ ᴀɴᴅ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴏɴ ꜰᴏxᴀʜᴏʟɪᴄ.ᴄᴏᴍ ˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*·̩̩̥͙
Long Aotian didn’t understand and simply looked at her. It was clear that when his wound had healed, the red-eyed snake could only vaguely identify their location through a faint smell, so why did she inflict a wound on his hand?
Joyce did not explain, she kept pulling Long Aotian to keep running. Then, she took out a small bottle in her hand and put it to the wound.
The vampire’s self-healing ability was so strong that the wound healed in the blink of an eye. Joyce relentlessly made a new cut, and repeated the process until the bottle was completely filled.
Then, she carefully dried the blood on Long Aotian’s wrist. Suddenly, she had a slight reaction. This blood aroused her longing for blood again, but she shook her head to shake off the thoughts and the restlessness. Now was not the time to think about that.
But the smell of this blood…
It smells a little familiar.
It’s like it’s from hmmm ummm the market and the farm…
“Keep running along this road. There is an old church at the end. Hide there and wait for me.”
AS Long Aotian looked at the bottle of blood in her hand, he finally understood what she wanted to do. “Your Highness, let me do it—”
“Wait for me at the church.”
Joyce swiftly pushed him away and ran to the other side of the fork.
Nine times out of ten, a low IQ villain like Long Aotian would receive a dramatic death ending if she were to let him do it. Although she didn’t want to die, it was way better to have her lead the snake away than to let Long Aotian do it.
Joyce clenched her teeth and rushed through the dark alley. She carefully distanced herself from the snake and looked around at the surrounding terrain.
Her eyes were drawn to a figure in the dense forest outside the alley…
As the red-eyed snake chased the scent of blood, the black mage followed it with the heavily armed royal knights. The red-eyed snake seemed to have found something. It hissed violently and slid out of the alley. It went down a dense forest where the fog was stretched out everywhere.
Once the black mage knew a vampire was near, his eyes hidden under his robe lit up. He quickly ordered everyone to follow and ran to the dense forest.
Behind them, a figure hiding in the corner of the alley slowly looked out.
Just running around in a frenzy had used up her strength, and she was extremely exhausted again. Once she saw that group of people leave, she breathed a sigh of relief. She was going to find Long Aotian, but just when she turned around, she almost bumped into someone who appeared out of nowhere behind her.
Startled, Joyce stepped back, but that person clenched her arm.
The man was also wearing a long black cloak, and it really terrified her at first glance. She looked up and saw a familiar face.
“Se…”
She didn’t finish his name because she remembered who the person in front of her was, and for a moment she didn’t know how to address him. She didn’t make another sound for a while.
Sean pulled her back into the alley, his eyes glancing over the group of figures that had disappeared into the woods. He then turned back to her and said, “What is it? Do you not recognize me?”
“Your Majesty, my Lord, I have no ill intentions towards the princess.” Joyce withdrew her hand awkwardly. “We will definitely stay away from you in the future, and we will never appear in front of you again.”
“‘We?” Sean’s eyes glanced over the hand she had withdrawn, his complexion was anything but good.
Joyce took another step back and looked back at the dense forest behind her. If Sean shouted now, the people she had tricked would arrive as soon as possible…
“Even though we are vampires, we really haven’t done anything…” Joyce cleared her throat awkwardly and just wanted to leave quickly. “…we have given up our evil ways, so we won’t do anything bad in the future. Can you just act like… you haven’t seen me?”
Sean’s face darkened. He was about to say something when a bird flew out of the dense forest behind them, screeching as if it was notifying the leading black mage.
Joyce was startled; she knew that she must have been discovered. She turned around to run, but didn’t even take two steps before Sean grabbed her, seemingly upset.
“Where are you going?”
Joyce couldn’t tell which side Sean was on and was anxious to leave. She took Sean’s hand and ran like crazy.
But their pursuers went around them, and after a while, they were surrounded.
Joyce saw that there was nowhere to run, and put Sean behind her.
“Leave quickly.”
