This sudden thought made her mad and she grits her teeth “Even after I saved his life twice, he doesn’t trust me. Then be it! He would be the one suffering without my help! Humph!”.

She walks out of the tent and finds Robin in front of her tent as he is exclusively responsible for Maya’s safety. She realizes they would return to the Countryside pavilion soon.

He is here to escort her. After the Princes finish instructing the battalion further, they have to be in The Royal Palace in a few days.

Maya forwards the edict “Read this for me, Robin”.

She is used to Robin now and knows she can trust him. More than that she believes Kalki as he would never have written anything that could expose her and Bhommi.

Robin bows and opens the edict carefully. He wonders why would his Madam ask him to read instead of reading it on her own. But he is glad that she trusts him enough to read the edict for her.

Seeing it had Kalki’s seal in the end, he couldn’t help be astonished even more.

He feels awkward to read a husband’s letter to his wife.

‘Does she want to flaunt about her husband’s care for her? Why wouldn’t she? She is the wife of the powerful man in the Realms after all! She has all rights to flaunt!’

His face turns even more serious now and reads clearly “The bunny you like looked exhausted after playing around the camp. I sent it to your chamber in the Countryside Pavilion”.

Bunny?! Our Madam raised a bunny in the war camp?! Did she even have time to pet a bunny while fighting this war? Unbelievable! Our Madam is very talented! Too talented!

Maya suppresses her giggle and amuses “Bunny?”

‘Bunny sounds like Bhommi and even suits her… She is adorable sometimes too…’

Robin rolls the edict again and forwards the edict with a bow.

He speaks “This servant will be ready to escort Madam back. Please order me when Madam needs the carriage to depart”.

Maya speaks, getting the edict back “We will leave at once”.

She looks at the tents around her and sighs walking towards the carriage.

On the way to the Countryside Pavilion.

Maya sees the forest on the way and is surprised to see the river bank beside the way out of nowhere. Her tired eyes now shine with curiosity.

She sits intrigued and wonders “How come there is a river in front of the Pavilion?”

She recalls the dam construction across the Southern river and is astonished “They diverted the river around the Pavilion? This place looks even more beautiful now!”

‘How fortunate this is… I am getting a river around my Pavilion? Instead of a small pond inside it? How beautiful! I don’t have to climb the cliff if I want to see the vast water scenery. I have a new one here!’

She grins happily and couldn’t help chuckle “Why am I getting more than I expect these days? Previously the whole battalions’ help… and now the Southern river’.

She feels giddy in ecstasy. She could faint in happiness if this continues to happen!

Maya looks at Sarah and runs towards her happily “Sarah!”.

Sarah grins as she watches Maya keenly.

‘She walks fine, her hands look normal and the way she smiles…. She must be very happy. But her face looks tired. She needs to rest well. I should chase Celina away till she regains her strength’

Sarah adds a mental note and sighs relaxed seeing Maya fine. She couldn’t help ask “Did you do well?”

“Of course!”

Maya’s voice sounded full of cheerfulness.

Maya looks at the bundle in Sarah’s hands eagerly “What is it?!”

Sarah speaks “Your Bow. I was ordered to keep it in your chamber”.

Maya squeals “Really? Let me see the bow again! I missed it!”.

Sarah is taken aback “…”

She asks in disbelief “You missed a bow and not me?!”

Even though she always acted distantly, she still expected Maya to miss her. After all, no one was close to her like Maya before. She feels betrayed.

Maya pretends arrogant and asks, raising her eyebrow, “Why would I miss you? You nag me all the time and give me heavy dresses to wear all the time!”.

Sarah rolls her eyes “As if you just wear what I give you”.

Maya is taken aback and scolds Sarah almost complaining “Look at you! You behave as if I am the one troubling you!”.

Sarah declares defeated “Alright! I was wrong. Happy?”

Maya laughs seeing Sarah’s face.

Alex is walking towards Maya’s chamber in a hurry. He doesn’t know why he missed her so much this week.

He wants to hear everything that happened between her and Xander!

He felt like his head was about to explode without gossiping and stopped in his tracks seeing Maya in the garden.

He smirks mischievously and walks towards her hurriedly.

She was talking to her Head Servant. Looks like she was instructing something important. Her eyes were serious as she patted some bundle in the servant’s head.

He wonders amused ‘Why is she grinning? What has happened? Is it so good that she can’t stop smiling at all?’

He gets startled at a sudden thought ‘What if Xander did that with her?!’

His eyes widened in horror as he wondered in a gasp “Did he hit her head so hard that made her insane?”

Maya turns as she heard him speak.

Alex is speechless “…” Did she hear me from there?! Whoa! Their powers are unbelievable! I just whispered…

He asks, “Did the war make you so happy?”

Maya rolls her eyes and waits for him nonchalantly as she doesn’t want to look desperate but inside she is strangely happy seeing him here.

Noticing Maya’s eyes, Sarah asks as she looks Alex approaching then “Why do you speak to that man? Wasn’t he the one that disrespected you that day?”

Maya smiles seeing Sarah’s vigilant stare on Alex and speaks “He is not bad like I thought. But I am not believing him blindly. So be calm”.
