The Conspiracy of the Elites - Chapter 467: may god help us
“Leonidas, you wish to attend?”
Hearing that, the Spartan President sighed, exasperated. “If you were not my mentor, I would have probably fired you already. Cough…, sorry for that but I’m really going, what’s the big deal?”
“You’re really asking me that right now? Of course, there’s a big deal. Apart from military burials, do you know the last time you have for social gatherings?”
“I dunno, probably a decade or 2”.
“No…, 4 decades! 4 whole decades! You get that?” The old man emphasized by waving his hands vigorously, showing 4 fingers at the powerful soldier.
“Suddenly going to a social event after such a long time staying at home, what do you think will be people’s reaction. They may feel that something is happening, they may even panic”.
“And just because he’s a 4th rank high-grade soldier does not change anything. It’s not like other 4th rank high-grade soldiers have not gotten married, and he just broke through last month”.
The President smiled at him. “You know, he’s the most talented Spartan soldier ever, even more than me. He became a 4th rank high-grade soldier in 4 years, have you seen or even heard of that anywhere?”
“He killed a 4th rank high-grade soldier as a 3rd rank high-grade soldier, can your brain even imagine that? All these, are they not enough of a reason to warrant me going to his marriage ceremony?”
“No…, no it’s not, you’re the President for crying out loud” The old man fumed as he glared at the President. “Like seriously now, what is really happening?”
The President’s hand suddenly stopped arranging his tie after hearing that as he slowly turned to face his mentor, his face now solemn like he was about to reveal the most terrifying news ever. “You really want to know?”
Seeing the President’s face, the old man revealed a sarcastic smile. “Ho-ho, now don’t play that trick on me, tell me the goddamn truth!”
“Ok, if that’s what you want”. President Leonidas shrugged while raising his hands to continue arranging his tie. “The world is coming to an end”.
“Wait, what?”
The President wanted to smile at this moment and make fun of his mentor due to his reaction, but he could not as he suddenly felt a wave of sadness, helplessness, and a little anger hit him.
His voice lowered, maintaining the seriousness in them. “I’m serious this time, the world is really coming to an end. Of course, this is if we don’t surrender and we lost the war”.
“War? Surrender? Which war are you talking of?”
“It’s the war of the galaxies”.
“…”
Now, the old man was even more clueless as he felt like his student was playing more tricks on him now. He wanted to lash out but for some reason, he felt that Leonidas was serious.
Right now, it was either Leonidas suddenly upgraded, becoming a pro award-winning actor or he was really sincere.
He took a deep breath. “Give me the details”.
“You know, this basic information that was taught to us in school that there are 9 discovered planets and that we are in the Milky Way Galaxy; it is correct but the fact is that there are more”.
“There are more Galaxies, precisely 11 confirmed with speculations that there may perhaps be even more galaxies out there”.
“And another fact is that…”
“Aliens are real”. The old man said, surprising the President.
“How did you know?”
“I didn’t know, I just guessed. Going by the direction you were leading into and your tone of speech, I guessed what you were about to say next. Please Leonidas, I don’t want games now, is what you’re saying true”.
The President looked at his mentor. “Yes”.
“And aliens don’t just exist, they have intelligence like humans and are mostly miles more powerful than humans. And apparently, we became high-grade soldiers due to the influence of a strange power named chaos power in space”.
“The biggest and strongest Galaxy of these all is the Tamaric Galaxy, and a frightening race called Namans reside there. They are the cause for this war”.
Without mincing words, the Spartan President revealed every piece of information about the war to his mentor. Though he was prohibited from revealing it to others, his mentor is a retired soldier so he had the authority to hear it.
He quickly finished the general information before going to the human race’s plan. “The name of the game plan in preparation for the war is the Great unification training plan”.
“For decades, the Elite Commanders of human society has been studying soldiers, identifying potentiates that may get to the revered Elite Commander rank in the future”.
“And a prophecy by one of the Elite Commanders identified a soldier as the chosen one to help and rescue humanity from the tentacles of the incoming war”.
“Guess who this stranger is”.
“General Clark Pendragon”. The old man answered as a lot of things started making much more sense to him.
“Yes, it’s the prodigy General. With the chosen one being a Spartan soldier, it’s an honor to me and all of Sparta and I want to express it properly that’s why I decided to grace his marriage ceremony”.
“Also, this is among the few days that he still has for himself and his family so I thought making it more memorable will enable him to accept things more calmly in the future”.
The old man revealed a confused expression. “What do you mean?”
The President sighed on hearing that. “He and a lot of other soldiers may become too busy to care about life necessities very soon”.
“The Great unification training plan is aimed at soldiers. For the war, the big 5, Elite Commander Alliances, and the super high-grade countries have allied together to prepare the best environment to train soldiers”.
“From the next month onwards, Elite potentiates like I and Clark would be taken to the unified training home where we would spend the rest days of our life before the war”.
“There, we’ll be subjected to hellish training to stimulate the latent potential in us as fast as possible to increase humanity’s power and chances in the incoming war”.
“For non-elite potentiates, they’ll also have to train but in different conditions”. After saying all these, the President could not help but caress his beard. “In a month, the earth would be thrown into controlled chaos and focused preparation”.
The old man kept quiet for a long time after hearing everything that was said. In the end, he just said a word. “May God help us”.
“May God help us”.
President Leonidas echoed him before the both of them stood up to leave the room to grace the young General’s ceremony.
