Danial Summer’s POV

I was frustrated. I don’t know why but Val has been making some changes in my life. First, Adam and then him. Damn it. I should have done anything about it but I was too chicken out to do anything. And besides, I liked it when Flora was concerned. My phone rang as I was driving in the car after I had my lunch. I picked it up.

“Hello?” I asked as I knew it would be either Val or Adam that would be calling me.

“You sonofabitch,” Val said as I was frowning at his enthusiasm. What was he so happy about?

“Well, hello to you too,” I said as I was getting into the traffic of Tirana. It was not yet rush hour but I was hoping that I could make a few stops before I headed to his house. I have to get some supplies anyway.

“So, how did it go?” He asked me. I scoffed at him as he just asked me a question but I was too busy to do some list on my mind.

“What do you mean? I just went out for lunch. Nothing was happening,” I said as I can hear the amusement in his smile.

“Yeah, right. Some little birdie told me that you kissed someone today,”

“None of your business,” I said as I was parking the car in front of the supermarket that I wanted to buy some stuff.

“So, how’s your seduction was going?” He asked me as I was running down the aisle after aisle as I was looking for the products that I needed.

“Fuck off. I don’t need to tell you anything,” I said as I took some personal care products and went to the cashier to check out.

“Okay, I think I have my answer then,” he said as I was rubbing my temple.

“Shut it, Val. I need to do this by myself,” I said as I was moving up the line. There was an older woman in front of me that was buying a lot of booze.

Grandma did not stop drinking.

“Well, I hope you will come back already. We missed you. Iris has been talking about you when you will come back. She’s kind of like going all motherly for you,” he said that I chuckled at his statement.

“Well, you can never let her go again after she had your child,” I said as the cashier was scanning my items.

“That would be 30 euros,” he said in Italian as I was paying with my credit card. I thanked him before I went out of the supermarket and headed for my car.

“Well, I will stay at the hotel tonight. I need to do some more digging on Flora Kent,” I said as Val was laughing at me.

“You’re joking, right?” He asked me. I sighed as I went into the driver seat.

“No, because her sister will be calling me and in case you forget her brother in law was a fucking Interpol agent,” I said before I heard him chuckled.

“Well, good luck to you,”

“Thanks, I might need that tonight,” I said before I hung up and started the ignition. The car was humming before I went out of the park and went to the hotel that I have reserved for 2 weeks of my stay. But I would usually go back and forth with the hotel and Val’s mansion for my sleep.

Hope tonight I will be having some sleep without thinking about that little kitten.

I went through the lobby as I handed the keys of my car to the valet. I was having some headaches before I went to the room.

I was inside the elevator as I was holding the groceries that I just bought. Some couples were looking at me strangely but I don’t mind them. I was putting on my bitch face before I went out on my floor.

I yanked the card out of my pocket and I went inside. The hotel was immaculate as I have been spending some time at Val’s. I think I missed the privacy and when my seduction was done, I can having fun in here without any distraction at all.

I put the groceries on the kitchen counter before I went to put them away. It was some bread, cheese, meat, veggies, and some pasta. I don’t know how to work it but I think I can make it tomorrow. I just bought some roasted chicken for dinner.

I went to make some coffee for me as I went to put my care product in the bathroom. Val has suggested it as I was looking at my face in the mirror. I did not know who I was anymore.

I’m still me with slight changes. Okay, maybe it was big but I think I can handle this. Until she was ready. Until we were ready. I sighed before I washed my hands. Then, my phone rang. I picked it up from my pocket and I was looking at the number. It was from the States. I sighed before I answered it.

“Tell me you have good news,” Adam asked me as I was drying my hands with the towel. I went out to the kitchen as I went to pull a plate and a mug to pour some wine that I got. I sighed.

“She’s under my radar. She’s unharmed, I was in her friend’s list,” mostly, but I kept that part to myself. I heard he heaved a relief.

“Well, that’s good. When will you guys be coming home?” He asked. I knew this will be coming onto me one of these days. It was only day 3 and now I don’t think I was ready to answer that question.

“Soon,”

“Soon? Well, when is ‘soon’? My wife has been worried and my in-laws are ready to call the international police for this,” he said. I pinched the bridge of my nose. Calm down, Summer. You can do this.

“Not yet. I got this. You know I would, right?” I asked him as he was sighing.

“I know, just hurry. I cannot hold them off any longer,” he said. I smiled at his concern.

“This is the love of my life we’re talking about. Of course, it will take time,” I said as I was chugging some water before I wanted to take some wine. It will help me to get over the wine afterword.

“Well, just hurry and ask her already. If you love her so much, why are you wasting time?” He asked. Good question.

“Well, I have been waiting 6 years for this. I will not blow it up just because you told me to put a ring on it,” I said as I was trying to convince him that Flora was not like other girls. She was one of the kind.

“Fine, but after 2 weeks, I will not help you anymore. If they wanted to get involved, you have to make your move. Did your parents even know you were there?” He asked me. I sighed.

“Of course and they will know when I have proposed to my fiancée after I said the word,” I said as I went to look at the red box that I have bought before I came here. I have been saving for months to get it and it was worth the wait.

“I wish you all the luck buddy,” he said. I sighed.

“Thanks, I need it all that I can get,” I said before he chuckled.

“Well, I have to go now. Fauna needs me to go jogging with her,” he said. I laughed.

“Wow, you even jog now. I was impressed,”

“Don’t tell her that I don’t want to do it. But what can I say I love her too much to say no,”

“Bye,” he said before I hung up and I looked at the roasted chicken with the unopened bottle of wine. I sighed before I went to take some piece of the chicken and paired it with the BBQ sauce.

I opened the cork of the wine and I was heading toward the telly. I need to get some entertainment before I can set up another appointment with my love. She had been eager but she never knew what hit her later on.

Flora Kent’s POV

I was in bliss. That lunch was so nice and I was dreading to hear from Daniel again. I cannot wait for him to invite me to dinner. I mean, I just went out for lunch with him so I might not be guessing that he would ask me dinner very soon. Plus, I did not give my number to him to contact me.

Shit!

How can I forget to give him? How will he ever get the number to ask me out if I never gave it to him?

Bad Flora. This what happened when you have been out of the game for so long.

I sighed. I don’t know what to do but to hack him. I have to hack him so that I can have his number. But I don’t want to. Not until I know that he will fight for me and he will get my number somehow. Maybe he even asked Val for it.

A beep from my phone. I picked it up as I was watching some cartoons on the telly. It was nice but I frowned before I looked at the unknown number. It sent me a message.

Want to have some dinner?

I smiled as I knew it was only one person that could ask me that. It must be Daniel and he must have asked Val for my number since he was working at the company as well. I was so happy that he would ask our boss for my number.

I don’t know, when?

I replied to him before the phone beeped again. He texted me fast.

How about this Wednesday?

I smiled as I just went out for lunch with him and it was only Monday. Two more days till that dinner. And I hardly can wait.

Sure. See you then, stranger.

I giggled as I replied to him. I was being irrational as I was calling him a stranger. He was no stranger. I was his potential lover. Maybe I will need to get another laid after Danial Summer. I need to get him out of my system.

I need to get Daniel Hekatos on my system ASAP to be gotten rid of Danial Summer.
