Flora Kent-Summer’s POV

After we head out of the court, it was afternoon and I think my stomach was growling that Danial just smirked at me. So much for being a doting husband after a few hours of being married to him.

“Oh, come on, cara. I was just joking and I think I might have been starving you last night. That’s why you wanted to eat so much,” he said as he wiggled his eyebrows at me. I rolled my eyes at him.

“Whatever you say, my love,” I said as he was kissing our entangled hands and put it on his thigh. The muscular thigh that I have known last night and 6 years and counting now.

“What do you want to eat?” He asked me as I was looking at the couple who were eating at a local restaurant. I wondered what will he do if we were out in the public. Danial was not a very affectionate person when it comes to PDA. Maybe I have to get him jealous so that he will be possessive of me.

“Cara, if you don’t answer my question, I have to get it out of you,” he said as he was rubbing my knuckles. I chuckled before I was thinking some spicy food would do us good right now.

“How about Italian?”

“All of the other options, you wanted Italian,” Danial said as he drove off from the traffic lights. We were heading toward the unknown chart of territory. I looked at him. I thought he never came here.

“My father traveled here when we were young. I have been exposed to this country ever since I was little and yes, we have some properties here as well,” he replied like he knew what I was thinking right now.

“Well, I never asked that,”

“I can see it on your face, I know you, my love,” he said before he took a parking spot and got out of the car. I waited for him as he always wanted to open the door for me, so I let him.

“Why thank you, my fair gentleman,” I said as I went to perk his lips. His eyes instantly darken with desire.

“Tonight, I will show you how gentleman I was,” he replied as he closed the door and put his hand on my lower back as we went inside the restaurant.

“I looked forward to that, my love,” I whispered to him as his hand tightened around me. I laughed before we were greeted by the host.

“Name?” The host asked us and I was looking at Danial.

“Kent,” he replied. Huh, that was weird. Why would he use my surname to get the table?

“Right this way,” the host said before he went to show us the empty table before we took our seats. Danial pulled out the chair and I thanked him before he sat next to me. I thought he might want to sit in front of me.

“Danny!” A voice called after my husband. We turned to look at 2 people that were making their way toward us. I cannot see who it was because Danial blocked it with his body before he hugged one of them.

Then, I saw who it was.

It was my sister, Fauna, and her husband, Adam. What were they doing here? I thought Fauna was pregnant that she cannot travel anymore. But I guess the rumor was not true then.

“Sister,” Fauna’s voice snapped me out of my thought before I stood up in front of her. She had been lovelier ever since she married my supposed betrothed. But that was for another story.

“Fauna, how are you?” I asked her before she hugged me. I was taken back as I don’t know what to do in that situation but patted on her back.

“I have been worried. You were not on the grid and I know how much you love to throw mum and dad off,” she said as I was still on my foot. I can see that she was very worried because her eyes were full of said emotions.

“How? What? Why are you here?” I asked her before Danial held my hand.

“I told them where you are,” he said as I turned sharply at him. I narrowed my eyes at him before he just laughed at me. He pulled the chair out for me as I went to take my seat and he was beside me. My sister and her husband did it as well.

“So, what do you guys order?” Adam asked as I was crossing my hands in front of my chest. I think I will let Danial play the host for them.

“We did not order yet. I thought we were off schedule since Flora woke up late today,” Danial said as he looked at me. I scoffed at him before he wrapped his hand around my shoulder. I wanted to push it off me but I let it lingered because his touch was good for me.

“So, you did it. You finally did it. You did find my sister,” Fauna said as she was looking at Danial. He nodded.

“I did,”

“Here’s the payment as agreed. Flora, pack your bags. We will be going home,” Adam said as he looked at me. Even though we might be the same age, I don’t think he has any authority to order me around.

“No,” Danial said as he pushed the money away. I did not understand what he was doing at first but then I realized that he was a PI.

And his mission was me. So, why he refused his payment?

“No? But why? I thought you were meeting with us because you wanted to get paid,” Adam asked his best friend. From what I learned, they met when Danial was an exchange student to Portugal and Adam came to the States after that.

“I know what I promised you guys but now, the deal has changed,” Danial said as he looked at Adam and Fauna before he settled his gaze on me. I was intrigued by what he will say to them right now.

“What do you mean?” Fauna asked him. He sighed before he showed my engagement ring on my left hand.

“She’s married,” Danial said.

Which was not being said yet?

“Who?” Adam asked me but I turned to look at Danial, maybe making some statement before Fauna asked him.

“Who is he, Danial?” Fauna asked as she was calming her husband. Adam was pissed that I was not available anymore before Danial cleared his throat at them.

“To me,” he said curtly before Adam grabbed the collar of his shirt.

“What is the meaning of this? I thought you were supposed to find her, Summer, not marry my sister-in-law,” he growled at Danial but Danial was keeping a straight face.

“I know what I said but we have been in a relationship for 6 years now. When I told you about the girl that I liked when I was an exchange student in Portugal, don’t you remember?” He said as he was looking at Adam before Adam’s nostrils flared.

“Son of a bitch?!” He shouted before he punched Danial. He stumbled a few steps before he was on the floor.

“Danial!” I shouted before I went to him. He was bleeding on his mouth as he put his finger there.

“Yup, this is better than any I imagined,” he said before I pulled him to stand up. I glared at Adam as Fauna was yelling at him.

“Well, I guess this could get any worse,” I whispered to him. He chuckled before Adam and Fauna were standing in front of us.

“No, I will not go with you. I stay with my husband and I will never go anywhere without him,” I said as I was holding Danial on my shoulder. Adam and Fauna were just watching us as we were getting out of the restaurant.

“Flora, wait!” Fauna came after me as Adam was apologizing to the host and manager for causing such a scene.

“Flora, I know that we might be pushing you around,” she said as Danial said that he will be waiting in the car. He kissed me briefly before we watched him went away.

“I see that you were smitten by him,” Fauna said as she was smirking at me. I looked at her as I was glaring at her. But my lips were smiling at her observation.

“I think you as well with Adam, his caveman-style and all,” I said that made Fauna blushed at me. I smirked at me before Adam was out in the street.

“Dear, why not you go and wait for me in the car as I will be talking to my sister for a moment,” Fauna said as she kissed Adam briefly before he whispered to her. She blushed before he smirked and went away.

“I see you later, sister-in-law,” Adam said as he waved at me while he was walking away. I chuckled before Fauna was looking at me.

“Well, what do you want to talk about?” I asked her. She turned to look at me before she cleared her throat.

“I think you made a very good decision, sister, to follow your heart and maybe help Danial in his quest after this,” she said as she was looking at Danial who was waiting in the car. I think I smiled at that.

“Do I get any hint in that at all?” I asked her as she just laughed at me.

“Well, you have to ask your husband then,” she said as she went to hug me.

“Well, I have a question for you then,” I said as I was looking at her stomach. It has been a couple of months and I think I might see the baby bump by now.

“Aren’t you supposed to be pregnant by now?” I asked Fauna. She blushed as she was smiling nervously.

“Well, I told Adam that we will be taking it slowly and I don’t think by the first year of marriage was hardly enough time for us to explore each other,” she said as she was tucking her hair behind her ears.

“Well, talking from experience of 6 years, you never too young to have a little bambino/Bambina,” I said as I was wiggling my eyebrows at her. She scoffed at me.

“Well, maybe you should get one then,”

“Well, no can do, sis. I just got married today so maybe I couldn’t rush into that just yet,” I said before she slapped my hand. I laughed at her.

“Take care, sis,”

“Thanks, I might need it. How’s mum and dad doing?”

“Well, they alright. Just worried about you. Thank goodness Adam suggested to come here for some vacation, as he said, but he was tracking one Celine Lebrun,” she replied.

“Celine Lebrun? Why?”

“Well, she’s dangerous and has gone out of the hospital. I hope she will be arrested soon,” she said as she was about to go away.

“Same here, sis. Same here,” I said as I walked away from the other direction to my husband who was waiting patiently for his wife.
