Adam Florenz’s POV

“Okay, you got this, bro. You got this. You will be with the love of your life and nothing will stop it from claiming Fauna as my own,” I chanted as I was tying my necktie as I was looking at myself. An hour before my wedding ceremony as I was preparing to go to the altar.

our wedding ceremony was at the hotel and we have stayed at the said hotel for a night. It was cool and the wedding reception will be outdoor. It was romantic.

and I was a nervous wreck.

I cannot sleep a wink last night as I know that I was too happy to be with Fauna forever, and the next time I make love to her will be as my wife.

My life.

I smiled at that thought as I was imagining our future together. But it was short-lived as Danial came into my room.

“you’re not dressed yet,”

“it was this stupid necktie. Why do I ever have to wear this when all it did to me was to strangle me to death?” I said as I was complaining to him. He chuckled before he turned me and took that necktie and worked his magic on it.

“Seriously, can you chill out?” He asked me as I was sighing.

“easy for you to say, you are not the one that’s getting married,” I said as I was rubbing my face.

“hold still,” and I did as Danny was making his magic.

“all done,” he said and I turned to look at the mirror. The suit was showing my curves and lean muscles nicely. I should thank my mother for tailor it by hand. It was a piece of art.

“Are you boys ready?” My mum’s voice coming into the room as I turned to look at her. She gasped before she put her hands on her mouth. I smiled weakly at her before she came to hug me.

“I cannot believe my boy was all grown up,” she said as she was looking at me. I can see that there were tears at the brim of her eyes.

“darn it. I cannot mess up this look. Come we have to go now,” she said as she dragged me out of the room and went to the lobby. My father was talking animatedly with Scott and Stacy. I went to hug them all as they were complimenting my look.

“my, you will leave a string of heartbroken today,” Stacy teased me as I just smiled at her.

“well, I don’t know about that but I don’t want to break one heart that truly belongs to me,” I said as Scott patted me on my back.

“Take care of my girl, son,” he said and I nodded at him. The wedding planner asked me to get ready at the altar as the ceremony was about to begin.

“Well, showtime,” I mumbled as I walked toward the end of the room and waiting for my bride to arrive in white.

Fauna Kent’s POV

“Darn it,” I said as I was trying to put the necklace on. It was a give from my grandmother before she passed away. She told me to wear it on my wedding day and that’s what I will do.

I cannot believe that I was getting married today. I did not sleep well last night and the make up artist has been complaining about my dark circles as I did not look like a panda during our trial weeks ago.

“Are you ready yet?” My mother said as she came into the room. She looked at my struggled figure before she went to help me to get the necklace on. She did it in a matter of seconds.

“Thanks,” I mumbled to her as I was looking at her reflection in the mirror. We were standing there awkwardly as I know I was never closed with my mother. This was like another holy shit level with her. Later, she cleared her throat.

“look, Fauna, I know I have been a hard mother on you and since you were never been given attention before, I was afraid that you will not hear what I have to say,” she said as I turned to look at her green eyes. Our parents were both green eyes and that was why ours were green like an emerald.

“I know I always compare you to your sister and I have been neglecting you ever since, but I wanted you to know I will always love you. When you disappeared, it’s like my world shattered and with Flora gone to god knows where, I only have you in this world now,” she said as she hugged me. I was surprised, to say the least, but I returned the hug a little later.

“well, enough this pep talk. You’re looking, gorgeous honey. I’m sure Adam will never look at anyone else now that he saw you,” she said as she smiled at me. An actual smile after my 25 years of existence.

“Thanks, mum. I hope he would always be that way,” I said before my mum laughed. I grimaced.

“what’s so funny?”

“well, if you haven’t noticed, honey, I’m sure he would never look any way around,” she said as she leads me out of the room and to the end of the altar. My father was waiting for me before he kissed me on both of my cheeks.

“ready, sweetie?” He asked. I smiled as I was looking at him.

“as I would ever be,” I said before the door opened and we were walking inside. The wedding march was playing and the choir was chanting. I looked at the man who was standing at the alter. He was wearing Armani suit that clung to his body like a second skin, making me wished that we were alone and I could jump him right now and then.

I smiled at the family members of mine and his as well as I saw the way that he looked at me. It was with adoration, desire, lust, and Love. I cannot believe the last one but after I heard what my mum said, maybe he did love me.

he did call me his meu amor, my love.

My dad gave my hand away as he patted Adam’s hand. He dipped his head toward my dad before he pulled me to stand beside him. He whispered something to me.

“You’re looking gorgeous, meu amor,” he said as he lingered his lips to my ear. I smiled at him as the priest was clearing his throat.

“the vows?” He asked before we turned to look at each other.

“I, Adam Florenz, will always cherish you, my love, my wife, my love, to the end of time. I will be with you through thick and thin of life and nothing will separate us until death does us apart,” he said as he gripped my hands gently. I smiled at him as it was my turn to say my vow.

“I, Fauna Odette Kent, will always cherish you, my love, my husband, my world, to the end of time. I will always support you no matter what comes our way and I will always be your backbone and honor our vows until death does us apart,” I said as I was squeezing his hands. He smiled.

“Do you, Adam Florenz, take Fauna Odette Kent as your lawfully wedded wife?”

“I do,”

“Do you, Fauna Odette Kent, take Adam Florenz as your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do,”

“now, with the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride,” the priest said before Adam pulled my waist and put his hand on my nape. He kissed me and it was the first kiss that we shared as husband and wife.

“Congratulations, Fauna,”

“Great party,”

“I love food,”

Every guest of my parents and Adam’s parents came to greet us. I did not know that Adam was famous among them.

“So, what are your plans after this, young man?” one of the investors asked as we were talking to them, well mostly Adam.

“I don’t know actually. I might be sticking around the force before I retired,” he replied and I turned to look at him, arching my eyebrow. He told me the night at my apartment that he will not be quitting. What had changed his mind?

“well, if you ever ready to join the company, let us know,”

“will do, sir,” he said before we slipped away as we need to dance as bride and groom.

“what was all that about?” I asked him as we were slow dancing on the dance floor. He twirled me around as I was spinning into his arms. His hot breaths were on my bare shoulder. now, I was ready to call it an evening and have Adam all to myself.

“well, I have been thinking to join our parents’ company as my father has been hinting so that I could take his place,” he said as he turned me around., one hand on my waist, the other on my right hand. My wedding band and engagement ring, emerald nonetheless because the stone reminded Adam of me when he bought it, was glistening in the low light.

“I thought you wanted to stay on the forces?” I asked him as I arched my eyebrows. He chuckled as he was grinding my pelvis to his boner. I groaned, wishing that we were away right now.

“Adam,” I said as I was breathless as I looked into his eyes. He smirked.

“in a minute, love. We have to tell that you were sick and then maybe we can slip out of the party,” he said as he kissed me. I was snaking my arms around his neck.

“well, I think it’s time,” he said before he pulled me away out of our party. I saw Adam’s friend, Danial I think his name, smirked as we were going out in the back.

“Now, the enjoyment begins,” Adam said as he pushed me onto the door of his suite and kissed me passionately.
