The Crystal - 50 Evolving the best moves
“First, let me concentrate on myself. I only have offensive moves. I use ‘Lightning Velocity’ as a defense sometimes, but I have no real defensive move. On top of that, among the offensive moves that I have, none of them are heavy move. I don’t like ‘Yellow splash’ since it’s not my owm move. Maybe, I will need to evolve it. Now, let’s see what the enemy has got.
He is strong. I could tell from his presence and fighting him proved it further. He is stronger than the absorpian mother, Oar and Flirtic all combined. However, he is not invincible. He is not even close to that absorpian daughter.”
Thinking of the absorpian daughter again made him shiver.
“No way is he anywhere close to that monster. Plus, the fight would have gone differently if I had maximum focus. I would have lost nevertheless but I would have been able to do more damage. My mind was distracted with that question again: What kind of life did I seek?
That’s his position in terms of power, however. If I analyze his fighting style, it’s depended more on raw strength than speed. His skin is durable. The only one move I faced against him is the ‘Lava spit’.
With all these in mind, I have to formulate my training schedule.”
He threw a capricious punch at the tree he found next to him. His eyes glowed with sparks of motivation in the evening’s darkness.
On the other hand, Oar thought to himself, “Why did Zohaifa told me to train hard? And why 10 days? Maybe he wants a rematch.” He clenched his fist and said, “I will defeat him this time.”
Wham! Oar punched a pad held by his friend.
Wham! His friends seem to be sweating more than he is.
Wham! “Hey, do you think if I evolve the Orange smoke will it be disrespectful?” asked Oar.
Wham! “Hey, why don’t you do some pushups?”
Wham! “Why?”
Wham! “Nothing serious.”
Wham! “Do you find some kind of weakness in me?”
Wham! “No.”
Wham! “Then?”
Wham! “It’s just that my shoulder is paining from holding the pads.”
“Oh”, Oar stopped and then said, “I am sorry.”
“About that move, I think you can take it to next level. I don’t think it will be disrespectful.”
“Right.”
Oar started doing pushups and said, “I will do that. I will go to the next level. Next level!”
By the ninth day, the news of Oar’s excitement towards training had spread throughout the village. Mr. Sutton approached Oar as he was squatting with a heavy rock on his back. The old man’s face didn’t look friendly.
“Oar, words spread that you are trying to change the best move of this village.”
“Change? No, I am trying to evolve it. Look!”
Oar prepared himself like he does with the ‘Orange smoke.’ But this time, he put a lot of energy. His face showed traces of the pressure.
‘Orange stream.’
He threw his move. It was like Orange smoke. Except this time, it moved like a cannon more than smoke.
Mr. Sutton kept his face unsurprised and told Oar, “The term evolution only applies for something that lacks. You know better that the ‘Orange smoke’ has no lacks.”
Oar bent his head towards the ground and said in a gloomy voice, “I understand.”
Mr. Sutton smiled and said, “Good.”
Zohaifa came back after the two weeks. Oar was ready for it. A gush of adrenaline flushed throughout his body with the thought of a rematch with Zohaifa. Zohaifa stood in front of him, face to face. Oar was ready for anything. Will he throw a punch without prior alarm? Will he take to a battlefield? Will he tell him to prepare?
“If you don’t mind, can I have lunch in your home? The dinner too, probably.”
“Okay,” said Oar with a bit of disappointment.
“So, aren’t we going to have a rematch?” said Oar to Zohaifa who was busy munching on his food.
“What rematch?” said Zohaifa unclearly with his mouthful.
“Why did you tell me to train so hard then?”
Zohaifa paused for a second. He then swallowed all that he had in his mouth and with an empty mouth he spoke.
