The Crystals - 46 Bored of the concussions
“The last night sleep was so good. I feel so refreshed,” said Zohaifa as he is riding a horse, “Though I should not call it a night’s sleep. I played pillow fight with those cute kids until morning and then went to sleep. I hope their family doesn’t think odd of me.”
The animal looked like a blue horse with ice-made wings.
“Of course they won’t. They are so nice people,” said Zohaifa. Then he caressed the horse’s hair with a smile and continued, “They even gave me this horse thingy.”
“They said this horse doesn’t eat. It absorbs the heat energy from environment. But it’s hard to believe given how cold it is,” Zohaifa thought, “Actually if I think about it, when I sit on the horse or touch it, it absorbs the heat of my body and thus I feel cold.”
“You are damn right!” said the horse.
Zohaifa woke up. “Where am I? And why is this happening all over again?”
An old man with a long white beard and red kimono came in. “So, you are awake. Huh?”
“What happened? Am I still in Crazy town? Or did I wake up after the bullet shot by Lapis? Or is it the concussion from Planet X?”
The old man stared at Zohaifa with narrow eyes.
“Oh, I know! I just woke up from the lightning shock, didn’t I?”
Red-1 came in right at that moment. “It’s time I step in and explain everything.”
“For my sake?” asked Zohaifa.
“No. For the readers,” he replied,
“You spent a night in the ‘Crazy town’ in the lottery’s winner’s house. Yes, I am talking about Mr. Fearless buddy. Then, they gave you the Islet horse which you rode up to the Orange Village. Then, you let the horse go back to his master and visited Oar again. All on a sudden, there was a Siren and everybody went to sleep. You wanted to know the reason, and they replied that the sleep haunter will kill you if you don’t. Thus, you decided to gain a sight of this superstitious monster. And though he didn’t kill you, we can all see how extremely beat up you are. You can’t even remember.”
“Excuse me. Thanks for the information, but who are you?” asked the old man.
“I am an epic character of the novel and a friend of Zohaifa.”
“What novel?”
Zohaifa interrupted, “Can you stop with that? I am having a hard time believing what happened. This conversation on top of it makes it more annoying.”
“In that case, I shall use my ‘Memory Resurrection’ spell on you,” said Red-1.
“No need for that!” brusquely said the old man, “He needs not to know this.”
Zohaifa looked back at the old man with narrow eyes, “I smell something fishy from you grandpa.”
“Ew. That is why I hate people who doesn’t bath every day,” said Red-1.
“That is not what I meant,” said Zohaifa.
“I will not let you,” said the old man.
“Don’t interrupt. I don’t feel any presence from you. You don’t stand a chance,” coldly said Zohaifa.
The old man stepped back, sensing that it’s futile to try.
“Ready Zohaifa?” Red-1 asked.
