The Dark Knights - Chapter 1 Chapter One
The knights of this magical kingdom, so great and powerful it was everyone’s dream to become a Dark knight, which is what they called themselves and It caught on. It was gonna be a whole lot easier for the boys in my class to become a knight, they all had magical powers even the girls which will develop over time, but me I had no powers I always wondered why I haven’t gotten them yet and if they would ever come. I tried everything to get them but I just gave up and excepted that I might not ever get them.
I was about five years old when I first met a knight he was so kind and tall his armor was as black as the night he told me that if I tried really really hard, I could be a knight. Ten years later I thought I could make it into the academy and it was guaranteed that if you passed the academy classes it would bring you so much closer to becoming a knight. If you did there was only one final test you had to take with the academy it gave you fifty percent so all you had to do was at least get an extra thirty in the test in order to pass and become a knight. Seemed pretty easy to me but that was until I found out girls weren’t considered strong enough to become a knight.
It broke my heart, my dream was shattered, how could I prove I was strong enough to be a knight I trained every day for hours without end. Working hard And so I thought what could I do to become stronger.
I thought back to ten years ago when I met the knight, the knight who thought I was strong, who thought my dreams were achievable, if I worked hard enough. The one who gave me hope, hope that one day I could have been a knight. I’m fifteen now in less than a year I’ll be 16, and I’ll have to take to entrance exam to start taking classes at the academy. It was an all boys school, cause girls were encouraged to go take classes and become something more suitable and accessible for a lady.
Even now he gives me hope and I’ll hold onto that until I become a knight even still after I am a knight. I know it will be hard but one day, I will be considered a knight. With the help of my friend Henry, he’s helped me become stronger, better, that I should be able to pass the exam. Though I was kind of jealous of his powers I always appreciated his help.
Since he had powers and we trained together it always made me push harder so I could succeed and be better without any help. And we will see if all those hours have payed off when I take the exam.
