The Demon Kings Cowardly Vessel - Chapter 287
And they were not wrong.
Even Crown Prince Warrick’s eyebrows could not help but twitch constantly. Using the excuse “for precaution”, Luca took quite a lot of weapons. Even though most of the weapons weren’t anything special, but they still cost a considerable amount of money to create.
After a while, Luca’s eyes lit up, and he said, “Found it! The Arcon-Water Bead!”
Everyone’s eyes turned to look at the statue that Luca was looking at. It was the statue of a bearded man, who was holding a trident in one hand. The bead was on the man’s hand, and he seemed to be looking at the ordinary-looking bead with a fond expression.
It looked like a normal blue bead, and they would have missed it if not for the soft aura that it was exuding.
“That’s what you are looking for?” Crown Prince Warrick asked.
When Luca reached to take it, the array under the statue glowed slightly, and he immediately pulled his hand back.
“I see…” Juin nodded as he stepped forward. “This is the item that belonged to the founding father. Of course there’s a ward to prevent theft.”
He then glanced at Crown Prince Warrick and asked, “Regardless of what Luca… took earlier, we actually need this bead. Can you please help?”
The Crown Prince nodded, and he took out the vial of blood before fl.i.c.k.i.n.g a drop to the array. Once the array sensed the blood, it disappeared.
Juin reached out to take the Arcon-Water Bead. He ignited a small flame to take a better look at it. “But can this really help us?” he wondered out loud. He then glanced at Luca, wondering if that guy was just planning to “take” this as well.
“Who knows… It wouldn’t hurt to have it since we don’t have any water user in our group,” Luca said with a nonchalant shrug. “My Dimensional Pouch is full, so you can keep that in yours.”
Juin raised a brow as he thought, “Given how you have been looting this place, I’m not surprised.”
He then placed it into his Dimensional Pouch, and as he did so, he noticed a ripple in space from the corner of his eyes. Turning his body over, he asked, “What’s that?”
“What?” Luca looked over. His eyes narrowed, and after a while, he said, “There’s nothing there. Did the water finally flow into your skull and damage your brain?”
Juin ignored him and said, “There’s something there. Can’t you guys see it?”
He pointed at an empty corner, where there was absolutely nothing at all.
Everyone tried to look at where he was pointing, but they couldn’t see it at all.
A voice that he had not heard for a few days finally appeared in his mind.
“Ghost Blinding Spell…”
Juin hesitated for a while before muttering under his breath. “Your Majesty?”
“I’m not talking to you,” Lucifer said as he finally made his appearance. “There’s a Ghost Blinding Spell cast here.”
“Ghost Blinding Spell?”
“Ghost Blinding Spell is a demonic spell… A strong one at that,” Lucifer said as he scratched his chin. “Before Atlantis was closed off, it must have been quite a popular dimension. Someone from a demon dimension must have been here before…”
He reached forward, and a ripple that no one else could see appeared in front of them.
“What’s this…” Juin mumbled as he reached forward to touch it. He took a step into the invisible wall effortlessly. When he walked through the ripple, he found himself looking back at the rest. He could see them, yet it was as if he were looking through a semi-translucent mirror. Their features weren’t as clear as before.
“The Ghost Blinding Spell is a dimensional spell created by cutting a piece of dimension. We are currently standing in an artificial dimension that both exist in reality yet not really. It’s a high-ranking spell, and one of the best spells used to hide things…” Lucifer frowned. This spell was so foolproof that he could not see the hidden item in his current state. But he was sure that there was something there.
This was a case of “item exists, spell exist; item disappears, spell disappears”.
Glaring at Juin, he snapped, “Find an excuse to enter your Soul Dimension. I will teach you a new spell.”
He then disappeared before Juin could even say anything. He then sighed loudly out of frustration.
Scratching the back of his head, Juin mumbled, “How am I supposed to do that…”
After thinking for a while, he looked at the others and placed a hand on his forehead. He then swayed slightly as he muttered with a weak voice, “I feel sick all of a sudden.”
Hearing that, Wolfe took a step forward, but Juin quickly put up his hands and said, “No no, don’t have to come over. Why don’t you guys continue and see if there are items that can be of help to us? I just need to take a while to recuperate.”
Wolfe c.o.c.ked his head. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah… I probably over-exhausted myself and didn’t realize it. I just need some time to recuperate.”
Wolfe and Luca exchanged glances. Both of them knew that there was something going on, but they were smart enough to know that this was not the time to push it.
“Weakling…:” Luca mumbled and turned around.
Wolfe took a brief glance at Juin before looking at the Crown Prince. “He’s new to the supernatural world, so there’s a lot of things that he doesn’t know yet, such as how to watch his soul power reserve and what not. Just let him be. Let’s continue, and I think you should pay more attention to Luca before he robs you guys blind…”
Upon hearing the last sentence, the Crown Prince and Master Shawn immediately glanced at each other, nodded, and followed behind Luca. They had to be sterner now, and Crown Prince Warrick had to remind himself to be less generous; otherwise, they would stand to lose a lot!
