The Demon Kings Cowardly Vessel - Chapter 290
Luca and Crown Prince Warrick was negotiating over a weapon when they felt an attack coming over them, and they quickly raised their soul shields before turning around in a defensive pose.
But they still felt the “attack”.
Clang!!!
The sound of things hitting the ground was muffled by the water-air, but it was still loud enough to make everyone turn to the person responsible for it.
“The f*ck!” Wolfe shivered as he wrapped his arms around his body to keep warm. His face had turned slightly blue.
“What the hell was that?!” Crown Prince Warrick frowned as he looked around while rubbing his arms. Like everyone else, he felt the blast of cold waves penetrating his soul shield and body earlier.
Tap.
Tap.
Tap.
When they heard the sound of footsteps, everyone then looked toward the direction of the footsteps, and their eyes landed on Juin, who was walking toward them.
“What’s up?” Juin said, looking at them innocently.
“What was that?” Master Shawn asked suspiciously.
“What was what?” Juin asked as he looked around. “Did something happen?”
“Didn’t you feel it?” Crown Prince Warrick asked. “That coldness just now.”
“Oh!” Juin slapped a fist down on a palm and said, “That… It was just a breeze, no?”
“A breeze?!” Crown Prince Warrick said as he shivered. That was a bone-chilling frost, yet to him, it was only a breeze?!
Juin looked at Wolfe and Luca, who both had signs of impending frostbite. “What happened to you guys?”
“There was an… No, it’s not an attack. It’s more like an aura, like something had just broken through…” Wolfe said as he moved his hands up and down his arms roughly, trying his best to generate as much body heat as possible.
Juin raised a brow when he saw Wolfe who was standing behind a pile of items. “Err… Maybe it’s because of my power, but I really didn’t feel anything much other than a light breeze.”
He then raised four flaming balls and sent them to each of them. All four of them quickly stood closer to the flaming balls.
“How are you feeling now?” Luca suddenly asked. His tone was full of suspicion, and he knew that Juin was the perpetrator, yet he had no proof. So, right now, he could only swallow his accusatory words.
Juin cracked his fingers as he murmured, “Not really there yet… But I should be fine for a while…”
“By the way…” He looked at the items, then at Crown Prince Warrick. He then looked at Luca and asked, “Did you really have to take that many items?”
“We are going into uncharted territory for them. We should at least get some benefits out of it,” Luca said as he knelt down and picked some of the items off the ground. He then kept some of it in his Dimensional Pouch before throwing an item at Juin.
Juin caught it promptly and quickly took a look at it. It was a blue human-form talisman. “What’s this?”
Luca took out one from his Soul Dimension. Holding it between his index and middle fingers, he then explained, “D’eau Talisman; a potential life-saving treasure. We have similar types on Earth, but the Atlanteans’ ones are special.”
“How so?”
“You activate it by injecting your soul power into it, and a water-based version of you will appear. Not only that. Even though it is in water-form, depending on the user, the water doppelganger can have different abilities. It doesn’t last long, but it’s pretty useful. And out of everything, this might actually really be useful in the volcano.”
Crown Prince Warrick’s eyebrow twitched slightly, and he had to calm himself down by thinking about the bigger picture. He gave a frigid smile to Juin and said, “Yes, please take it… It’s our gift to you.”
Juin nodded, and he glanced at Wolfe, who pulled one out of his pocket and said, “I’m keeping this by my side…”
Juin agreed with it, so he did not say much. He kept his in his Dimensional Pouch before continuing to pocket some of the things that Luca looted from the poor Crown Prince. He would have felt even more guilty if Crown Prince Warrick didn’t force them to work for him. Thus, right now, he only felt slightly guilty as he quickly put the items away.
While in pain over the loss, the Crown Prince’s mind was elsewhere. He glanced at Master Shawn and “talked” with his eyes. [Are you seeing what I’m seeing?]
Master Shawn nodded, and he replied with a narrowed gaze and a twitch of his eyebrow. [It’s like a bottomless pouch!]
Not only them, but Wolfe and Luca noticed it as well, and they both felt a little jealous of Juin. Not only did it imply that Juin had a huge Dimensional Pouch, but it also told them about his limitless future.
“How big is that thing…” Wolfe asked as he watched Juin pick and choose what to keep.
However, Luca’s mind was at some other place. “Is it because of the demon that possessed him? If I find one, will mine grow as well? That lucky b*stard…”
His fists tightened subconsciously while a frown appeared on his face. He then humphed and turned away, pretending not to be bothered by it. With such huge space in his Dimensional Pouch, Juin’s soul power reserve had to be huge. Which meant that there was a possibility that he had yet to go all out against Luca… And this had a huge effect on Luca’s ego.
He, who had to train until his limbs felt like they were about to be torn apart every day, had to do everything himself and sacrifice his time and childhood in order to get to where he was, but Juin managed to get such a vast Dimensional Pouch simply by summoning a demon…
If Lucifer had seen the look on his face and knew what he was thinking about, he would have laughed at Luca. All the items that Juin was taking into the Dimensional Pouch did not even take more than 1% of the capacity of the pouch.
Even if he were to take everything in the treasury, it would be hard to say that everything would take more than 2% of the pouch.
Once he was done, Juin stood up and looked at his teammates. He then asked nonchalantly, “Alright, I’m done. What’s next?”
