The Demon Kings Cowardly Vessel - Chapter 311
“Mere incomplete life forms… How dare you even think that you can compete with this Great One,” Lucifer snickered and clutched the hilt tighter, purposely reopening the wound that was already healing.
Having enjoyed the power of the sword, the d.e.s.i.r.e to use it more and to its full strength enveloped him.
He sacrificed more blood to the sword as he started using one of the spells he saw from the Book of the Daemon King.
“Flaming Death Souls!” he roared as he slashed down toward the earth giant in front of him.
“ROARRRRRR!!!!”
The sky turned dark as thousands of black shadows flowed out from the blade of the sword and gathered up in midair. At first, they were only circling in midair, but soon, they formed into a black Western dragon with four legs and a pair of wings that were as big as Eranos. Thousands of meters away, on a mountain where the remaining animals were hiding, half of them dropped to the ground, dead.
The appearance of the dragon caused fear to shoot up the spines of those watching.
The black dragon exuded the same aura as the sword as it blasted dark flames on the earth giants. While the earth giants were burned by these flames, it then swooped in and devoured these earth giants one by one.
It ate the earth giants whole, swallowing them as if they were nothing but gummy bears. Black sand then fell out from its pores, as if it had fully digested them and in need to expel.
Once mounds of sand as tall as an a.d.u.l.t human were formed beneath it, it roared loudly, slapped its tail against the mounds of sand, toppling them, and flew up into the sky.
At the same time, Lucifer snickered and slowly walked in midair toward Eranos, who was now completely terrified and could no longer think properly. The real Juin’s strength was quickly depleting because of the dragon, so Lucifer had to finish this off quickly.
The black dragon flew back down, flying around Lucifer as the latter slowly walked until it was right in front of Eranos’ outermost shield.
Its black eyes glanced at Lucifer for a few seconds, seemingly in confusion, before looking back at Eranos and breathing out a puff of black smoke.
By now, Lucifer had completely lost control of himself.
“It was somewhat fun, but I had to end this now…” Lucifer said in a cold voice as he raised the sword with both hands. He then put a foot back and aimed the sword at Eranos’ heart.
“H-Hey hey, let’s talk…” Eranos stuttered.
“Lord of the Death, devour this tiny being in front of you!” Lucifer said in a deep voice as he stabbed toward the shield.
Not only that, the very suppressive and terrifying nature of the aura also knocked Luca out cold.
Oddly enough, Wolfe managed to remain conscious.
When he looked toward “Juin”, he was no longer Wolfe, and his eyes were not on “Juin”. Instead, he was looking at the image of a much different man; an older, much powerful man… One that was familiar to him.
At the same time, Wolfe’s eyes turned completely black, the whiteness in them disappeared into nothingness. Images that he could not understand started to form in his mind, like a treasure box that had just been opened.
That’s right. Juin’s body had been forcefully taken over by Hades, and Lucifer had been pushed back into the Soul Dimension. Only this time, Lucifer did not appear in the Soul Dimension angry. He was completely unconscious, and his soul had been extremely weakened.
This was why Hades managed to take over Juin’s body f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y without causing too much damage to the body of his vessel.
Meanwhile, in the physical world, “Juin”, or rather, Hades, had completely taken over. He glared at the black dragon, who shivered at his mere gaze and turned into the form of a young boy with two dragon horns on his forehead and shimmering black scales on his temples.
The young boy had the darkest hair and eyes and was wearing a simple black robe with gold linings. Moving symbols appeared around his wrists and ankles, changing every now and then.
“Did you have fun, Emrys?”
“Retsam, please forgive me!” the young boy got down on one knee and pleaded. He kept his eyes on the man’s feet at all times, shivering as if he feared a beating. “I have been locked in the sword for so long, so I just wanted to release some energy.”
Hades ignored him and glanced at Wolfe, who was looking at him with a dazed look. With a gentle smile, he then pointed at Wolfe and signaled him to come over.
The moment he did so, Wolfe ran at full speed and appeared right below Hades.
“Retsam…” Wolfe said respectfully.
“You have reincarnated as well…” Hades said in a fond voice. He snapped his fingers, bringing Wolfe up in midair. As he rubbed Wolfe’s hair fondly, he said, “Of all the worlds, I didn’t expect you to be born in such a pedestrian world where those weak humans rule… It must have been hard on you.”
“No, Retsam…” Wolfe said as he slowly looked at Hades’ face. His eyes were completely black as he looked into Hades’ eyes. He rubbed his cheek against Hades’ palm softly as he murmured, “I have missed you, Retsam…”
“Soon…” Hades said. “We will all be reincarnated.”
He placed two fingers on Wolfe’s forehead and said with a cold yet gentle voice, “Continue protecting this boy until my return…”
“Yes, Retsam…”
A black glow appeared between Hades’ fingers and Wolfe’s forehead. Not long later, Wolfe fell unconscious, and Hades dropped him next to the boy, Emrys. “I can’t stay awake for long. When I’m not, take care of this human vessel for me.”
“But sir!”
“Lord of the Death, his safety is more important than anything else, and you will protect him regardless of what you feel,” Hades’ voice turned deeper as he warned Emrys. “If I’m unable to return because of your incompetence, I’ll surely come back in my next reincarnation and tear your dragon spine off!”
His eyes turned sharp as he glared at the boy, who shivered and nodded like an idiot.
Hades then looked at Eranos and said in a calm voice, “I have saved you from the idiot. So you owe me now…”
Eranos gulped. Beads of sweat were trickling down his forehead. If he thought Lucifer was strong, this one in front of him was invincible. “H-How… Why did you not suffer from any restrictions? Like the other guy…”
Hades smirked, “The Dimensional Restrictions?”
He did not explain and merely gave Eranos a look that said “guess it yourself”.
“I-I… What do you want?” Eranos stuttered. This was not a man he could joke around with. In fact, the aura that this man exuded felt as if he had been existence longer than Eranos. He had a feeling that if he were to say just one wrong word, this man would immediately erase him from this world.
Hades gave him a cold and eerie smile.
“You.”
