The Demon’s Angelic Love - Chapter 187
“Human world. You descended to the human world not too long ago, right? It’s been two hundred years since the last time you descended to the human world, but you suddenly went there again even if you didn’t have a mission there. What made you go all the way to the human world?”
They were two long questions in one breath, and Kezef stared lazily at the junior angel who just asked the questions to him.
Rehael was not even a new angel in Heaven, but the way he asked the questions without giving a break sounded like he was just a kid.
Rehael did look curious when he ambushed him with the questions, but Kezef didn’t have any intention to answer them. Instead, he just remained quiet, hoping that the other angel would give up and leave him alone.
But, it was not Rehael if he easily gave up when he got no response from the other party. He didn’t seem to notice that Kezef wasn’t in the mood to talk, and he continued his ramble, “When you descended to the human world, did you ask for permission from God? If you went there without God knowing, you will get a problem.”
Now, Rehael acted as if he was the senior angel here. Kezef had been one of the angels in Heaven for nearly six hundred years, while Rehael was only born two hundred years ago.
Kezef had witnessed a lot of things that happened in both Heaven in Earth. He had witnessed how young angels were born, and he also witnessed how the old angels would retire after finishing their task in a thousand years.
Yes, that was the rule in Heaven. An angel would be able to retire from their job after working for a thousand years, and they would get home in Heaven and could have a peaceful life there.
The retired angels were not old in appearance. They would still look young despite having so many zeros in their ages, but it was their experience that made them old.
Some young angels would still seek advice from them, but they couldn’t disturb the retired angels in their retirement. They could visit the retired angels’ house, but they weren’t allowed to give burden to those angels.
Kezef was not a young angel, but he was still four hundred years away from his retirement days. When that time finally came, he would be able to stay away from the noisy Rehael as well.
He just hoped that Rehael wouldn’t be so shameless by bothering him even after he retired.
The day would only come in four hundred years, and Kezef sighed as he glanced at the junior angel. “I went to the human world because it was God’s order,” he finally gave a reply before shifting his gaze to the Glass of Life again.
The Glass of Life showed the morning scene on Earth. It was still so early in the morning, and most humans were still sleeping at the time.
“What?” Rehael sounded shocked after hearing Kezef’s reply. “God ordered you to descend? But why?”
Kezef descended to the Earth without telling Rehael, but the latter ended up finding the former’s secretive action at that time.
Rehael managed to find out about that when he accidentally saw the senior angel disguising himself as a human when he was monitoring the Glass of Life. His mouth immediately gaped upon seeing the human form of his workmate, but he only questioned his workmate today.
Rehael suspected Kezef descended on his own, but the senior angel dared to say that he went to the Earth because of God’s order.
“God ordered me to say hi to my old friend. I can always do that to my old buddy, can’t I?” Kezef replied carelessly, and Rehael rolled his eyes when he heard the careless response.
“The way you responded to me just now sounded like a human,” Rehael lazily replied. “But yeah, he’s indeed your old friend, but why would God ask you to go to Earth just to greet your old friend?”
Rehael chose to ignore the ridiculous fact that Kezef sounded like a human just now and chose to go back to business.
When he accidentally saw Kezef’s human form on Earth, he could see another figure with the angel, so he wasn’t really surprised when Kezef said that he went to the Earth to greet an ‘old friend.’
“God is having a battle now,” Kezef gave a short reply, and it didn’t answer Rehael’s question at all.
“What?” Kezef responded in surprise. “God is having a battle now? Who is the opponent? Is it Lucifer?”
“…”
The surprised look on Rehael’s face was obvious, and Kezef could see it even if he only glimpsed at the other angel. The only opponent for God was Lucifer, and Rehael immediately came up with the idea after hearing Kezef’s short reply.
However, Kezef didn’t give any response as he was in deep thought again. He was silent, and his eyes were fixated on the Glass of Life before him again.
Getting no response from the other angel, Rehael sighed before copying Kezef’s action to focus on the Glass of Life again. On the Glass of Life, he could see someone stirred in his sleep, a sign that the person would wake up soon.
Something from that person made Rehael frown. “I also asked you about how his blonde hair gradually turned black, but you didn’t give me any answer, Kezef.”
Strands of blonde hair turned black, and that was also Kezef’s focus when he brought his golden eyes to look at the Glass of Life. It was only recently the shiny golden hair gradually turned into the dull black, and he knew the reason behind it.
“The golden hair gradually turned black, and that’s part of God’s battle. If God can win the battle, then the black strands will turn golden once again.. But, if the golden hair completely turns black instead, then it will be the end for God and Heaven.”
