- Volume 2: Their Paths Cross Again Chapter 350 350: Getting Closer From The Truth
The discovery that Elle and Ma. Belle Elleise Falcon was the same person, had given both father and son quite a shock.
They were having complex emotions right now. Yes, they felt relieved knowing that Elle was the missing daughter of Cedrick Falcon whom they were looking for.
It felt like they just solved another puzzle regarding the unresolved case of Falcon’s Massacre.
However, they couldn’t rejoice nor be happy right now since they thought Elle was already gone. They’re too late. If they had just known the truth earlier then Elle could have shared her burden with them.
She’d been through a hell of experience since she was a child. Erick’s father felt the guilt of not finding her sooner. He should have protected her.
But instead, Elle was the one who protected them. She saved them in the hands of the Azumi Twins.
The entire study was engulfed by deafening silence. Both of them were still trying to absorb everything, gathering their thoughts and emotions first.
To think about it, this accidental discovery was the greatest progress in the Falcon’s Massacre Case. Elle or rather Ma. Belle Elleise was the only witness. Though she was not here with them, she left them a very big clue about the culprits.
“Son, I think we should stop blaming ourselves. We can’t undo the past but we can still do something in this present. Everything we do here in our present will lead to our future.”
“Son, don’t give up. I know you are having a hard time without her. But you need to be strong. We need to solve this case for Elle’s sake, for Ma. Belle and for her family.” Raymond held Erick’s shoulder while saying those words.
“I understand, Dad.”
Soon, the father sat down together, comparing the reports they had and summarizing their new developments in the case.
“Dad, do you think we can reopen the case of Falcon’s Family?” Erick asked his father inquisitively.
“Son, I know what you are thinking. You already know the answer.” Raymond looked at him meaningfully.
“Yeah, I know that. We can’t investigate this case in the eyes of the public. The true culprits are still unknown. As you said, Dad, there might be a bigger conspiracy behind this.” Erick shared his opinion with his father.
After spending their time connecting the dots, Erick and Raymond came up with the list of summary regarding the developments of this case.
~ Elle or Catseye was the missing daughter of Agent Cedrick Falcon. The only witness for Falcon’s Massacre Case.
~ She attacked the original members of Los Molasses Gang for revenge. They were the ones who attacked the Falcon Family and who killed everyone at home 18 years ago.
~ After the successful assassination of the Falcon Family, Original Members of Los Molasses Gang disbanded.
~ Everyone was able to put up different businesses. That meant, someone who was powerful and influential was the one backing them. The one who gave them a lot of money to be used as their capital in establishing their own businesses.
~ Possible Motive: Agent Cedrick met with the whistleblower who was working in a facility that was manufacturing bio-weapon. Falcon was ordered to be assassinated in order to bury the truth about the facility.
~ There was a traitor in the police department during that time who covered up and protected the culprits. That’s why they got nothing.
~ Alfonso Ramirez was suspected to be a member of the Dark Knight Organization.
~ Did Dark Knight Organization had something to do with this assassination? Were they the ones who established bio-weapons in the country?
~ Mateo Hiroshito-Aganaki Carter, the only person who could confirm all these speculations. Is he still alive? Where is he? They should find him soon before the enemy does.
~ What to do next: Find Alfonso Ramirez and the missing whistleblower. Interrogate the other members of the Los Molasses Gang- De Dios, Vello, Sy, and Tyler. Do this investigation secretly.
“Dad, you should investigate and focus on finding the whistleblower. I will be the one to handle the Los Molasses Gang as well as the Dark Knight Organization.” Erick suggested as he divided the tasks for both of them.
“OK I agree with your suggestion.” Raymond promptly responded to him.
“If we need help, we must only tell or chose the person whom we trusted the most,” Erick added.
“That’s true. We should be more cautious and careful. Our enemies are hiding in the dark. They are powerful.”
Then suddenly Raymond let out a soft chuckle. “My son, I feel like we are very close to solving this case. I am glad that you are my partner in this, my own son. I want you to know that I am very proud of you.”
“Yes, Dad. It’s my great pleasure to be working with my idol who is also my inspiration…my role model and the reason why I decided to become a detective. Thanks, Dad for not giving up this case. I know Elle would be happy to know that you are her father’s best friend. She would feel grateful to you for all your efforts in solving this case just to get the justice that her family deserves.”
The father and son duo were exchanging sentimental words for each other.
“Erick I think fate really brought you and Elle together. You and Elle were supposed to meet during your childhood but it didn’t happen. Who would have thought that the two of you would end up falling in love with each other?”
“Yeah it should be a joyous occasion if only Elle was still here with us.” Raymond added with his sorrowful voice.
Erick didn’t say a word but there were waves of emotions flicking through his eyes.
They were about to end their discussion when Sarah entered the study.
“Hey, I am starting to get jealous. Did I miss the fun? Why is it you didn’t call me here?” Sarah pretended to be upset with her husband and son.
Raymond just hugged his wife to appease her. “Sorry Honey, we are talking about cases here. I know you will just feel bored if you join us that’s why I didn’t bother calling you here.”
“Alright, I forgive you both. Come…let’s have dinner.” Sarah invited them to eat.
Sarah and Raymond left the study first, while Erick arranged and organized the doc.u.ments scattered in his desk.
While doing that, someone popped up in his mind. Then his lips lifted upward forming a faint curve.
‘Yes, indeed you are not Elle. You are Ma. Belle Elleise Falcon.’
