The Devil’s Sleeping Beauty - Chapter 247: My Youth (6)
After successfully negotiating with Xia Liqin, Lu Xingyan left the hotel with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend.
“You really are a lifesaver, meimei.” Lu Weichun was clinging on her sister’s arm, smiling happily while they stand by the bus stop.
Lu Xingyan sighed, “You should stop making troubles.”
“Sorry, I’ll be more careful next time.” She turned to Fan Jingli and smiled a bit, “I’m sorry for lying to you, gege.”
“You could have just told me that your family is strict.” Fan Jingli sighed. He still couldn’t believe that he ended up dealing with such a troublesome girl.
“Why did you brought her there in the first place?” Lu Xingyan asked while looking sharply at him.
He raised a brow, “How did you know that we were there?” He asked back. “Did you follow us?”
Because of his question, Lu Weichun turned to her sister in realization, “Yeah… How did you know that we went to a hotel?”
Lu Xingyan was quick to think to an answer so she didn’t look troubled with their questions. She was just looking at them with her usual blank gaze, “If I didn’t follow you, then you would have been busted by our uncle.”
“But the fact that you followed her means that you are invading her privacy.” Fan Jingli said, crossing his arms. He may take an interest in Lu Xingyan but it was still frustrating that his plans failed that day. “I could just help if she gets in trouble. You do not have the right to put yourself in and meddle in Weichun’s relationship with me.”
Lu Xingyan turned her cold gaze at the man, she raised a brow and crossed her arms. “You? Help her?”
Was he trying to build a wedge between her and her sister?
“What gives you the right to talk to me? Can’t you see that I’m having a conversation with my sister and not with you?” She harshly told. “And yes, I do have the right to include myself since I am her sister! Do you think I can’t see what you’re trying to scheme to my sister?”
It was the first time that Lu Weichun saw her that cold but she was still mad about her sister invading her privacy and how she addressed her boyfriend. “Xiao Xingyan, he’s my boyfriend! How can you be rude to him?”
“You’re still going to side with him?” She turned her icy gaze to her elder twin. “You know what? You’re my elder sister and yet here I am, trying to help you out in every trouble you got into. You’re supposed to be the mature one and yet it’s actually annoying how you keep on acting like a spoiled, know-it-all brat. Shouldn’t you be thankful instead that every time you get into trouble, I always come right in time to save you? If you want a knight in shining armor to save you then so be it, I’m not going to follow you anymore and trouble myself with your proble-”
A loud, crispy slap was heard. It was Lu Weichun who slapped her sister after not being able to tolerate her words. It pained her to hear such awful words from her sister. Her eyes were brimming with tears.
Her eyes widened in surprise upon realizing what she did, “M-meimei, I-I’m sorry… I-I didn’t mean-”
Her mouth was shut when she received her sister’s angry glare. At that moment, Lu Weichun knew that Lu Xingyan’s patience has reached its limit.
“How can you be so blind? How many times do I have to tell you to use your brain?” Lu Xingyan spat coldly. She looked at Fan Jingli sharply and in a blink of an eye, she punched him on his face.
Yes, she punched him, not slap.
“Son of a bitch.”
Lu Weichun was actually more surprised when she heard her well-spoken sister curse him.
Right in time, the bus stopped on the side.
Lu Xingyan grabbed her sister’s hand and dragged her inside the bus while Fan Jingli was still in the state of shock for being punched.
Lu Xingyan looked so frail but the punch she gave him. Damn. He felt like a whole mountain came crashing on his face!
The pain on his face was terrible especially when the punch broke his nose.
He was about to enter the bus but the bus left since the driver thought that he was not going to go in.
Meanwhile, Lu Xingyan dragged her sister and sat on the farthest seats in the bus.
“X-Xingyan-”
“I’m still mad so don’t talk to me.” She looked at her knuckles. Punching him in the face with her full strength still ended up hurting her hand.
“But-”
Lu Xingyan sighed heavily, “I’m not going to apologize for punching him. I am not going to tell you to break up with him anymore. You are blind. Don’t come crying to me if he breaks your heart.” She crossed her arms and turned away from her as she looked at the scenery they pass by through the bus window. “I can’t believe you blindly followed him to the hotel.”
“W-we’re not going to do anything… Jingli is not that kind of man…”
“Not that kind of man?” Lu Xingyan scoffed. “You really can’t read through people, do you? Then fine, do whatever you want. You can just find out what kind of man he really is.”
Even if she said that, if Lu Weichun came crying to her, Lu Xingyan would most like to go to Fan Jingli and break his bones instead.
Lu Weichun lowered her head and clenched her fists tightly. She knew how much her sister disapproved of her boyfriend and because of that, she wanted to prove to her that what she thought of him is wrong. She wanted to prove her younger twin wrong.
She took out her phone from her bag just to message him, [I’m sorry for what my sister did. I’ll make it up to you.]
