The Director of Music Department - Chapter 1409
Everyone can clearly feel that Sean is pursuing Anna. Although Anna did not accept it, obviously, his attitude was much better than before.
They couldn’t help but cried out for Malcolm.
After all, the two used to have such a good relationship, and they weren’t divorced. Is this Anna…
The picture changed and came to the office.
The office is very quiet. Cole and Malcolm sat face to face at a mixed-color desk.
Cole pondered for a long time before asking, “…what do you want most?”
Malcolm shook his head: “I don’t know.”
Cole: “I said what I wanted.”
Malcolm nodded: “I know what I want. I can talk to my wife again, just like before, back to the world of two people.”
Colwyn asked, “What are you going to do?”
Malcolm whispered: “I can’t be your doctor anymore. I don’t care about my family, it’s wrong. Do you understand? I will introduce you…I know two…”
Cole said softly, “Don’t give up on me.”
Malcolm’s sharp eyes.
Cole begged: “Don’t give up on me, you are the only one who can help me, I know.”
Malcolm tried to calm down, but failed: “I can’t help you. Someone will help you.”
Cole began to cry, almost begging: “Dr. Clovey, you believe me, right?”
The two were speechless.
Cole repeated the sentence again: “Dr. Clovey, do you believe my secret?”
Malcolm sighed, “I don’t know how to answer.”
Cole looked for the answer on Malcolm’s face, and Malcolm looked away.
Cole took a copper plate out of his pocket and placed it gently on the table: “If you don’t believe me, how can you help me?”
Malcolm looked at the copper plate, then at Cole’s painful eyes.
Cole said softly, “Some magic is real.”
Obviously, Malcolm did not believe in Cole, he was just trying to gain his trust, but unfortunately, the result still made Cole desperate.
This scene seemed to be just a dialogue, but the audience who watched it felt extremely anxious because of the words Cole said: “You don’t believe me, how can you help me?”
This child is too difficult.
The screen shifted to the basement of Malcolm’s house.
Malcolm really fiddled with the tape recorder, and there was the sound of doors opening and closing.
This is a recording of Malcolm’s conversation with the patient.
Malcolm said, “Sorry for keeping you waiting so long. It’s cold here.”
The sound of Malcolm walking and sitting down.
“Vincent, why are you crying?”
Vincent was a 10-year-old boy who was treated by him. In fact, it is not difficult for the audience to remember who Vincent was.
It was the boy who committed suicide!
Vincent: “You won’t believe me.” Vincent sniffed.
Malcolm rewinds and replays:
“Sorry for keeping you waiting so long. It’s cold here.”
Malcolm rewound a little more tape forward and put it back:
“You know, I don’t like syringes either. I had a blood test when I was a child, and I vomited up as a nurse.”
Vincent chuckled.
The sound of the door opening again came from inside.
The secretary’s voice came: “Sorry, Doctor Reid is on the 2nd line.”
Malcolm: “I have to answer this call. You can wait here, okay?”
Vincent: “Good.”
Malcolm and the secretary walked out and closed the door.
There was no movement for a long time, and then there was the sound of a chair rubbing the floor suddenly. Vincent was short of breath.
It seems that some faint electromagnetic sound on the tape has been filtered.
Malcolm rewinds the tape while turning the volume to maximum.
The entire basement is full of electromagnetic noise.
Malcolm listened carefully.
Amidst a bunch of electromagnetic sounds, a voice appeared, the voice of a man:
“Familia…Nodejenqueestomepase…Mifamilia…Yonoquieromorir…Familia”
Malcolm couldn’t believe his ears: “My God!”
Another pit was filled!
It turns out that Vincent, like Cole, is also experiencing Cole’s nightmare.
It’s just that Malcolm didn’t believe him in the first place, just as he didn’t believe Cole.
He thought, Vincent was given up by him, which led to tragedy.
What about Cole?
For this reason, Malcolm came to the church to find Cole.
Malcolm walked quickly along the middle aisle, eyeing every empty seat.
Cole: “Are you busy lately?”
Following the voice, Malcolm looked up, Cole was playing with his soldiers on the railing of the box. He lowered his head and spoke to Malcolm: “This is better? I like to be busy, that’s good. Would you like to ask me questions now?”
Malcolm shook his head.
Cole raised his plastic soldier and asked, “Want to join the 7th Marine Corps? We have just been sent to fight in Vietnam.”
Malcolm: “Let’s wait.”
Cole: “Something happened, right?”
Malcolm nodded.
Cole: “Are you terrified?”
Malcolm looked at the empty church and said, “Yes. I think so.”
Cole put away the soldiers and got out of the box.
Malcolm: “Do you know what ‘Yonoquieromorir’ means? In Spanish, it means ‘I don’t want to die.’ Why do you want those ghosts to come to you? Think about it.”
Cole retreated to a stool and sat down.
Malcolm: “You think about it, what do they want to do?”
Cole: “I want to help.”
Malcolm said firmly: “Yes, I think so too. They want your help, even those scary…I think I know how to make them go away.”
Cole: “How to do it?”
Malcolm: “Listen to them.”
Cole shook his head: “What if they don’t want me to help? What if they just want to hurt others?”
Malcolm: “I don’t think so.”
Cole suspiciously: “How can you be sure?”
Malcolm: “I can’t be sure.”
Seeing this, the audience was finally relieved, because obviously, Malcolm believed it.
At least, this is a good start.
At least, Cole is no longer alone, at least someone is willing to believe him.
Malcolm turned the corner and saw Sean coming out of his house.
Malcolm walked towards Sean angrily.
Sean didn’t realize there was someone nearby, got into the car and started the engine.
Malcolm was a few seconds late, and Sean drove away.
Malcolm angrily watched the car leave, and looked at his home, in irresistible pain.
The wife obviously had an affair, and it was this man named Sean, but he was helpless.
Everyone has their own difficulties. Malcolm’s difficulty lies in the family and the relationship between him and his wife. He doesn’t know how to restore it!
It was another dark night.
The Cole’s room was quiet.
Cole slept in the tent with the puppy Sebastian curled up beside him.
Cole opened his eyes and he heard his mother calling in her room: “Cole…what’s wrong?”
Cole got up quickly and rushed out of the tent. He stumbled on the chair with his feet, unaware that the sheets tied to the chair were loose.
This scene made the audience a little worried about him.
Because they already knew that this was Cole’s last barrier against the ghost.
