The Doctor’s Madness - Chapter 3 3
Laying in a cell was something both me and my past self-were used to. We had to do it all the time, planning our escape logically and slowly.
The Doctor apparently had no patience, but he did seem to have a plan. The way he smirked, tapping a foot impatiently, waiting for something.
“You know, I’m not an idiot. I know when someone wants to escape.” The guard sighed turning to the Doctor. “I’ve also been warned of your quick though, so I won’t be fooled by any sweet talk.”
Shaking my head I let out a small sigh, watching the Doctor pout lightly, a small hurt look in his eyes. He was up to something, but what was another question entirely.
“Of course not, but it is always worth a shot. May I ask, what is your name?” He asked, tilting his head slightly. He must have pulled some tears, cause the guard let out a small sight.
“Angrith Bltori, I’m new here and I would like to keep my job for longer than a week Doctor,” Angrith responded with a sigh.
“He isn’t going to try something right?” My old self-asked, whispering near my ear.
“Yes, I believe he is. Give him a shot, I’m actually quite curious what he thinks he can get to.” I responded with a shrug, smiling at the chuckle.
“Oh of course Angrith! Now, I kneed a big favour alright? Can you get me my ball? I’m really bored.”
Instantly I huffed leaning against the wall once more. Why did I think he had a plan, he never had a plan why start now?
“O-oh? I suppose so Sir. I have heard of your greatness, I’ll see if I can get you something.” Angrith responded with a nod, “But only when shifts change alright? I can’t have you getting any ideas.”
“Oh, that’s right! You work for them don’t you?” My old self-called rushing to Ten’s side. “Why don’t you ask to be let out? We don’t need your help you know.”
“Heh heh heh heh heh~.”Quickly my head shot up to the man. It was not the laugh of a nervous man, it was insane.
Slowly his chuckling dissolved into manic laughter, eyes widening as he turned to face the man.
“Why do you think I did it? Killed her, technically in cold blood.” He whispered coldly, laughter waving his words, eyes glowing with insanity. “You silly. I did it for you, all of it.”
‘What had happened to him? Was the war really that hard on him that he became this?’ I asked silently watching as he leaned forward, clamping onto the younger me’s shoulder. ‘Is this the effects of war on the Doctor? Or is this something else?’
Silently I watched as his face slowly dropped, mania falling into deep depression. There was no way this was just the war, something else happened. Something truly changed him and left a shattered soul in its wake.
“But you don’t want me, so I’ll let you go.” He whispered heart audibly sinking. “Perhaps I’ll see you again in another forum, perhaps this will be the end of the Doctor.”
He was fast, too fast. I hadn’t so much as blinked when he had a small screw -perhaps the size of my pinky nail- pressed into his wrist.
“Doctor!”
