The Doctor’s Madness - Chapter 4 4
“He’s stabilized for now. He needs rest and some time, however, he should be able to heal just fine.” Sarah whispered walking up to the cell, her stance clearly indicating fear. “Martha wanted me to let you know that also Sim has a therapy appointment scheduled.”
Nodding I leaned silently against the cell wall, pretending to be interested in my nails. Part of me knew that she didn’t believe the distraction, but I didn’t care. I just needed space.
“Hey, are you alright? She told me what happened you know. I’m sorry you had to see that.” She whispered walking up to the door.
“I don’t really care you know. He meant nothing to me.” I whispered glaring coldly at her. Neither of us believed that, but the way she glared back, almost impressed me.
She was still visibly afraid, however, she was not about to bolt.
“Why did he do it?” My past self-asked walking up to us, a dark glow in his eyes. “I never thought him to be suicidal.”
“I wasn’t. Apparently, that form of me was quite ill.” Three responded walking up shaking his head. “Quite a shame that he wasted the rest of his energy on you, or he would have likely escaped his misery. I highly doubt that I will ever understand what he sees in you.”
“Neither will I,” I responded smirking, eyes glowing with my own madness. “And I will never understand what he has made me feel for him. You see, I’m worried about him now.”
There was a long moment of silence before Three sighed, pulling the cell door open and walking in. Walking up to me, he gently took me by the arm. Silently he started leading me towards the hospital wing, holding me tightly but not painfully.
