The Doctor’s Madness - Chapter 7 7
Waking up I groaned lightly, placing my head into Three’s chest. Glancing up at him, I slowly pulled myself up and towards the door.
“Hm?” Angrith moaned, as I slowly pushed the door open.
“I just want to see him, make sure he’s alright,” I whispered. “Three is still asleep, so I didn’t want to disturb him.”
“Oh, alright. I’ll leave a note, wait for me right here alright? I’m putting a lot of trust in you right now.” She whispered, smiling at my nod.
When the young girl returned, we quietly headed towards the medical wing. It was definitely more due to nerves than courtesy, as there were not many people in the wing of Unit that Ten and I were in.
“Hey, we just came to check on Ten. He was worried and Three is still asleep.” Angrith said as Martha opened her apartment door. Both girls locked eyes for a moment before Martha nodded.
“Alright, just try to avoid the emotional subjects. Anything that you know could bring fear, sadness and anger.” She warned stepping. out of the room. “We are still calculating exactly what set him of the last two times, however, we can safely say that his emotions are just uncontrollable at the moment.”
“Thank you, Martha, I will do my best. The thing is, I don’t know for certain what will set him off.” I admitted quietly, following Martha to the room. He was alone, and it was fair sized, however, it was still a hospital room.
Walking up to the bed I smiled as Ten slowly sat up, slowly turning towards me.
“Hey, good morning,” I whispered, watching as he rubbed his eye.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” He asked tilting his head slightly.
“Just checking in, I wanted to see how you were feeling this morning.”
“Oh, yeah. Sorry about last night.” He responded dropping his head. “How did you sleep?”
“Not too bad, one bad dream but that was childhood shit. Three slept on the couch to keep me company, and I did end up with him after the dream for support.”
Chuckling lightly nodded turning to me with a smile. It was good to see him happy, truly happy for once. However part of me couldn’t drop the fact that he could drop so far, so easily.
“You know, I need to ask. Library?” I asked, gently biting my kip, knowing I was partly breaking Martha’s one rule.
“Not well enough at the moment, but if you really want to get back to that we can have some fun when I’m released from here.” He responded with a small, flirtatious smirk.
Apparently, Martha caught on, as I heard her mutter, ‘course you could, of course, he’s blond.’
“Perhaps, I always enjoy our little benefits,” I responded, laughing as Angrith audibly chocked on something. I didn’t doubt she was just picking up on the topic.
“I’m going to wait for outside,” Angrith said, rushing out and closing the door with a small bang.
“He should be good to go later. If you want to catch up more then, than great.” Martha said walking to our side, placing a hand on my shoulder. “Or you two could stop with the dirty talk and we all can head to breakfast together.”
Chuckling I nodded, kissing Ten gently on the forehead. We could play later, but I did want to catch up. “Let’s get food, I’ll behave.”
“Thank you, now let’s go then.” She responded, turning to the door. Happily, we slowly followed hand in hand with newly kindled love. Everything was changing, and fast.
