“Ehh? Your boss sucks~” Ruyi trying not to laugh at her best friend’s situation.
Sebastian told her of his circ.u.mstances, how he was treated as a mere employee when he was a graduate and a master of Business Administration, who helped and contributed 80% of the company’s profit and was actually attempted **** by his company’s director hence his resignation.
“Just laugh you bitch!!! You cruel bitch who never contacted me for 3 years and is laughing at my demise~~ Huhuhu..” Sebastian smacked the back of Ruyi’s head while Ruyi still laughed at her wit’s end making Sebastian pop his vein in irritation.
“Well, I can’t help it! Just with your beauty alone, many bees and flies fly around you, Mr. Ikemen~” Ruyi was overjoyed on the fact that her capable friend resigned and that she could help her and he could help him.
“Shut it! My wife gets jealous because of that!” Sebastian stood up and went to the counter to take their coffees.
Ruyi decided to send her friend a contract of employment in her company. She wanted to surprise him.
“Who’s the lucky girl to marry this goddess… Hahahaha, gimme!!!” Ruyi acted cutely at her best friend’s reaction.
“None that concerns you Milady, here’s your Triple Mocha Frappuccino, and my Chai Tea Latte. Thanks for the treat!” Sebastian saw a stack of paper in the table and recognized it as a contract.
“R-ru-ruyi? Wh-what’s this?” Sebastian tremble at the contract. “How did you have this? Is this real?” he was uncertain whether to believe what he was seeing.
“En.” Ruyi nonchalantly nodded then sipped her coffee not seeing that dumbfounded face of her friend.
“What? You don’t want to?” Ruyi raised her eyebrow.
“How would I believe you girl! As far as I know you’re also the same employee like me! How could you be recruiting someone without your boss’ permission!” Sebastian slammed the contract at the table garnering everyone’s attention on them.
“*Cough* We’re in a public place dearie, and besides why would I need the boss’ permission when I’m the boss in the first place. Won’t you be mine Sebby?” Ruyi gracefully placed her coffee while saying it in a low voice. She placed her pen in the contract looking seriously at her friend whose face looks like it’s about to explode from shock, anger and a bit of embarrassment.
“Is this charity? If it is then-” Ruyi cut him off immediately. “Dude, chill. I know you’re capable besides, do you really think so low of the Salutatorian of our class? I’m confident in your abilities Sebby. Don’t ever think I did this out of pity, okay? Besides it’s a win-win for us. You got a job as my assistant and secretary, while I get myself a skillful personnel. You can bring your wife if you want as your assistant.”
Sebastian blushed awkwardly. He knows that his friends is a blunt and honest person. She would never use someone’s tragedy against them. She was the most wholesome person he knows.
“So-sorry.. I was just… It was unexpected you see… The friend I knew for 3 years actually is a boss of a big enterprise… I kinda felt.” He didn’t continue what he was saying.
“I know. That’s why I want you. There’s a lot of pests in my company and I need help in exterminating them.” Ruyi smiled while sliding both the contract and pen towards her friend.
Even though he was uneasy with how he landed the job, he took it as an opportunity and signed the contract.
“Welcome aboard, Sebastian.”
