The Domineering CEO Vs. The Arrogant CEO - Chapter 8
“Oh ho? So all the salaries and rewards I gave them was actually not for them… Threat? My staffs? Then I’ll give you another chance to present a proposal right now… If you can’t present a suitable or decent proposal, better pack your bags and resign from this company… Everyone sorry for wasting your time” Ruyi bowed to all the present attendees.
The room was silent. No one dared acknowledge the apology since they themselves know they weren’t worthy of it and was unsuspecting of the happenings in the company. They had to be slapped with reality in the cruelest way.
“N-no need to apologize CEO, we are the ones at fault. ” Every board member and staffs except the trio bowed in shame for making things this worse before addressing the problem.
Ruyi didn’t mind their apologies and kept waiting at the trio to talk, however she wasn’t disappointed that the three had gone mute, either from anger or embarrassment.
“So? None? ” Ruyi glared at the trio “Should I do it instead? Should I present then?” her gaze darkened with a threatening look.
Everybody shuddered at the scary moment they were currently witnessing. Every director now thought highly of the young CEO while the staffs present had praises for their CEO and thought ‘She’s not a witch’.
While others had varying reactions, the trio was downcast… They knew they lost the gamble they took. They were preparing to leave when Ruyi called out to them.
“Oh, before you leave, sign these doc.u.ments leaving your shares to the company or else we’ll see each other at court for breach of contract and leaking confidential information of the company… Trust me when I say you do not want to see me in court… I am, after all, what you all call the WItch CEO” she smiled which was not actually a smile. Everyone trembled at the sight of the fierce lady…
‘She’s a witch alright ‘ Everyone had the same thoughts besides her secretary.

“Heh, how weak… ” Ruyi was still smiling looking at the papers in her hand. It was the signed transfer of shares by the three idiots.
“You really didn’t give them a chance after all, not even a hole to escape to.” Sebastian was blushing from having to keep his laughter down. Suddenly his phone rings. “CEO, here’s a call from Sir Wen” Sebastian said while giving the phone.
“Yes, Elder Wen? ” Ruyi answered nonchalantly. It was her maternal grandfather. The one from the prestigious family, Wen Clan.
“You bastard!!! How could you do that to Director Jang, Smith and Liu? Didn’t your parents teach you anything? Do you think your company will grow without them? How useless!” the old man was yapping in the other line. Ruyi was going to ignore his sermons until she heard the insult towards her late parents.
No one ever talks about her parents, be it good or bad, it’s a taboo. It was her landmine never to be stepped on. The Pandora box of the girl left with emptiness, resentment and revenge.
“Excuse me old fart, I may be a bitch but my parents aren’t!!! They taught me to respect people deserving of respect and those three aren’t included in it… Most especially you!!! They deserve it anyway!!! I don’t care how much you hate me but don’t ever talk about my parents like that or I’ll definitely make you regret it!!!” before her grandfather was able to reply, she ended the call, removed the batteries and threw the phone from her 40th floor veranda.
Ruyi never thought her grandfather would stoop that low to insulting his own daughter and son-in-law as if he had ever done something to help. In the first place, she wasn’t close to any of her elders besides her uncle and maternal grandparents. So she wouldn’t forgive anyone badmouthing her family. The only family she acknowledges.
