The Dream Saga - Chapter 41
“Camouflage’ is this even possible?” I yelled, due to shock.
“That’s why I always say you have a lot to learn, Kai” Lee patted me on my shoulder with a smile on his face.
“Well, I agree with you Lee, but he is now tenfold better than how he was during the verification ceremony. I bet he’s strong enough to beat the previous version of himself with just a few moves.” Victor nodded his head in response to Lee.
“But do you think it’s enough to beat those six devils? They were trained and were born with enormous strength. And adding more to that, they have equal or more demonic power than him.” Rahu was worried. He was thinking way farther than all of us.
“And we shouldn’t be too much happy about our minor achievements. We shall train more so, even after losing he does not die.”
“Yeah, I guess whatever Rahu is saying is true, Lee. Do you remember when we saved Rose from Asmodeus, and I almost had a fight with him?”
Lee narrowed his eyebrows as he tried to remember, “Oh, yeah I remember it now, even though I was quite far from you, I felt the terrible amount of demonic aura flowing out of his body, and you looked so troubled when you exchanged blows with him.”
I sat on the bench that was nearby and remembered the moment I punched Asmodeus “He was really someone who had the power to crave fear in the hearts of people.”
“Hmm, well I can see, but it’s not just Asmodeus who we should worry about. All of them are quite dangerous opponents for you.”
“Rahu, I have a suggestion for that problem. Why don’t we train him, based on his opponent’s skills? Like, let’s train him to fight them individually by picking on their weak spots.” Victor, who was thinking about something for a while, came out with an awesome idea.
“Wow! That’s a great idea. That way, he can win against each of them. We shouldn’t be wasting time, let’s start right now.”
Everyone was ready for training again, and I was charged, too.
“Kai, so this time your opponent will be all three of us together. Think of us as any three devils you’ll be facing. This time we won’t be helping you in any way, figure out our weak spots and defeat us.” Lee explained to me how this training was going to be. And behind him, Victor and Rahu were already ready to fight.
They all were alone strong opponents, and this time I had to defeat all three of them together. But I had learned many few things in these past few weeks and during that period I learned a few of their weakness.
“Victor, you know what to do, right? ”
“Hell yeah, my man.”
“Camouflage!!”
Lee and Victor were talking to each other in a bold and confident tone and after looking at them, I felt they both were in great sync and that was problematic for me.
While on the other hand, Rahu took a fighting stance, they all made a strategy even without talking to each other. Maybe this is why Lee picked this team to train me. They were indeed professionals.
In the next second, Lee and Victor disappeared from my sight. And only Rahu remained there. Now my fight was with him. And I knew how to beat him.
“So, seems like we to fight each other, Kai I’m warning you, I’ll not go easy on you…”
“Don’t expect the same from me too, let’s start.”
I and Rahu were glaring at each other straight in the eyes. I was able to see that he was waiting for me to attack first so he could counter and pin me down.
And If I got pinned, I knew it’d be over for me. So I used another trick of mine that I learned recently.
“Camouflage!” I chanted the spell out loud while concentrating my mana and it worked. I became invisible.
This was the best thing I had against him because he was a devil and was completely helpless against my serpent powers. He was not expecting this. He thought I’d go with some martial art kick.
He looked around in confusion and prepared himself. It was the best moment to take advantage of my ability.
I rushed at him with a high kick to knock him out in an instant, but when my foot was just about to crash on his head, he grabbed it with his arm.
He smirked at me and slammed me against the ground, and it was so hard that I felt I broke some of my bones. I was completely bamboozled by his counter. Because I was invisible to him, yet he destroyed me as it was a simple task for him.
Being on the ground was lethal for me because I was in Rahu’s attack zone and he could pin me down at any moment, so I flipped back instantly, making a fair distance from him.
I didn’t know how he did that, but I figured out that close-range attacks against him were useless. I had to come with another strategy.
