The Dream Saga - Chapter 71
He swung his hammer high in the air and bashed it on my nape. The moment it touched my nape, I felt like an enormous building fell on me with spikes on its corner; the pain was intolerable. At this point, I did not want to win. I just wanted to survive.
I understood why everyone warned about his brawns and raw strength. He was a beast in disguise.
I was dying with pain, and it was so much for me that I almost fainted.
He raised his hammer again in the air and this time he bashed it on the serpent mark on my nape. But, as he struck me there, something unexpected happened.
A green color light emerged from my nape which engulfed everything in its color. The faces of spectators were flushed. Sathanus was shocked as well, but he was still raging.
When the light fainted, something big stood there in front of Sathanus. It was a serpent.
“Hiss”
“Ah, you’re the one who woke me up, huh… it’s hurting you know.” The serpent was someone everyone in Levlee was familiar with.
“Who the fuck are you? Move aside, you’re in my way.” Sathanus yelled at him without realizing it; the one who stood in front of him was a legendry serpent.
“You, scum! You’ve already angered me enough by hitting me and now you’re even cursing me. You need a lesson!” The serpent hissed angrily.
“And you don’t recognize me? I am the legendry serpent king ‘Basilisk.’ The one who now serves Kai Reid. And if you want to get him. You need to beat me first, you dumb fuck.”
The match took a complete turn. The match between Envy and Wrath had turned into a match between Venom and Wrath.
“So, you will protect him? Let’s see how long you will last?” Sathanus smirked.
“Who do you take me for? Huh, some centipede? Come and try me I will show you why he has the nickname ‘Dead doom’.” Basilisk stood tall in front of Sathanus in order to protect his host even though he hated him, but if he died, it’d be a shame on the serpents.

“What is happening? Is that the legendry serpent ‘Basilisk?’” the anchor, who was in the commentary box yelled in shock.
“I don’t know if it’s allowed or not? So, I guess it’s better to ask our judge, Lady lucifer.” He was confused because it was someone else fighting in place of the devil, and it was a weird situation that rarely happens.
“My lady, is it allowed? Can someone else fight instead of a devil? Isn’t it considered cheating?” The anchor queried the Devil queen, with a face full of worry and questions.
The queen smiled at him; she stood up and looked at the anchor with an amazed expression. “Ha-ha, I know you all are shocked and confused, but it’s natural and obvious.”
“How? And why?”
She picked a glass of wine from the table she replied with a sip. “Leviathan is an exception. He is allowed and not just him, every devil is allowed to do this, but unfortunately only Leviathan is gifted with a power of another being. It’s a part of him. He could ask its help in the match to fight along, but Kai Reid didn’t and now his serpent is protecting him that’s simple, so it’s allowed.”
“Ah, I see. Thank you, my lady. For clearing out the confusion,”
“So, everyone. It is officially legal. He can do this and now the fight is a handicap match between ‘Leviathan and Basilisk vs Sathanus.’”
“But it doesn’t seem like a handicap match for Sathanus, he’s already in his maximum state. I don’t know how it will end, but I know this will be fun to watch. Do you all agree? If yes, then give me a shout!” He aimed his microphone at the public and the reaction from the public was amazing.
“As expected, let’s get back to the match.”
***
Basilisk was crawling around the arena, and Sathanus was just standing there watching his every moment.
“I want to play with you, so I won’t kill you by sight. Want to know why? It’s not because I feel you as my worthy opponent, it’s just I haven’t played with a rat for a long time.” Basilisk humiliated him and kept crawling around the arena, which was not so big for him. It seemed like a giant earthworm crawling in a tile.
“Enough of you! I will finish you just now.” Sathanus yelled in a pissed tone.
He ran with his Warhammer to bash Basilisk’s skull; he leaped to get on his head but by now Basilisk had already learned his lesson from the fight with Kai,
Before Sathanus could get on his head, he dodged and banged him with his fat tail.
“BOOM!!”
When the tail collided with him, he crashed on the ground, but it was his good luck that the counter was not so strong, getting his ass beaten up by him angered him more and as much as he lost, his wrath took over his mind.
“I will kill you!!!” He grunted.
“Oh really? Well, you can try.” Basilisk was having fun. It was rare to see this side of him.
By now, Sathanus was at his peak of wrath. His red aura was taking a bigger and bigger form.
“I will show you, what I am!” he bashed both of his fist on the ground and caused an earthquake that ripped the ground into two parts. As the crack headed toward Basilisk, it turned into a big rift in which he fell.
“How’s that now? But I know you’re big you will come out of it in any second, so tell me if you like this or not.”
The crack was deep and Basilisk was in it trying to figure out a way out but before he could escape Sathanus jumped onto his skull; and it was a great disadvantage for Basilisk, as he couldn’t do much. He rocked his head left and right to get him off, but Sathanus somehow maintained his balance.
Basilisk knew having him above his head was bad news for him. He swiftly rushed out of the rift he rushed and struck his own body in the walls to get him down, but he was like a leech he kept clinging to his head.
Sathanus was waiting for a perfect moment to attack, and unfortunately, luck was on his side. He raised his hammer high in the air and transferred an immense amount of demonic energy into it he was planning to do something nasty…
“I told you, I will kill you, didn’t I? anyway you brought this on your own I’m not allowed to kill leviathan but no rules are stating that I can’t kill you!!” Sathanus burst into a peal of vicious laughter.
“BAADOOM!!”
A loud striking sound came from the top of Basilisk’s head. The thing which was feared had happened.
Blood began to drip from the top of his head in a few seconds. The whole ground was red. On the top, Sathanus was panting heavily as he exhausted too much of his mana into his hammer.
“Told ya, I’d kill you!” He had pierced a hole into his head with his hammer; he was breathing heavily. He smiled as he thought he won the match, but when he thought everything was over, something unexpected happened.
Everyone who watched the match had their hearts in their mouth because every minute was thrilling and entertaining. The entire stadium was silent, even the commentary box was numb because of continuous phenomenal events.
“Hmm, you said it, but you haven’t killed me yet.” Basilisk was still conscious, but how? Being him alive was almost impossible and he was talking here.
“Only Leviathans can dominate the serpents. Not everyone can do it. I am not fighting for Kai Reid, I am fighting for pride of serpents” as he spoke, he whacked his own head with his tail to get him off.
“But how? No!” Sathanus yelled while being pushed away from the top.
“Now, I won’t hold in killing you either. As you said, you’re not allowed to kill the devil but you can kill me same goes for me too, but I can kill anyone.” Basilisk hissed and his yellow eyes of death stare flashed he was ready to kill him…
“NO! NO! I won’t lose this easily! I know what to do…” He quickly came with something to counter Basilisk’s attack.
“here it comes,”
“ONE CARD TAKEDOWN!” he used his specialty to nullify every ability, and it worked as he expected Basilisk’s yellow eyes were turned off. And he was again in trouble.
“This time I won’t miss Basilisk! I will kill you for real!”
“YAAAHHHH!!!” he screamed before finishing Basilisk off, but before he could reach him, something happened.
“Huh, what? The ground is shaking what’s happening?” Sathanus was confused because of the sudden unusual activity…
“THRASSSHH!!!” Something came out of the ground, ripping everything apart. It was another snake. Sathanus was in mid-air when it snatched his legs out of his body.
“NO!! What!” he screamed.
“SUMMON!” a voice came from behind and it was Kai, who was still on the ground.
Hundreds of snakes came out crawling out the arena and circled Sathanus.
“STRANGLE!”
“JUST KNOCK HIM OUT!”
“No!!!!!”
The snakes covered him as Kai ordered; they crawled around his whole body and strangled him until he fainted.
“Yes, I’M BACK” Kai screamed.
