The Dream Saga - Chapter 78

I raised my arm and yelled a spell…

“SUMMON!”

I was angry, and I was burning in rage, because someone again hurt something that I cherish.

The spell was fueled with a dark aura of despair which formed a darker black lightning that devoured the whole stadium… like black clouds.

The ground began to shake and every light and sound went numb. The deed was done and there was no going back now.

The creature I summoned was not a normal serpent. In the past weeks, I gained the trust of the serpent kings, which made every legendry serpent submit to me. A huge lightning struck the ground and as the smoke cleared, and a head came out piercing it. As the people of Levlee saw the creature, they went crazy. Maybe it was the first time they saw him. Every person on this continent just read about him and never saw him, but now he was here.

“APEP!!”

The legendry serpent from the mythology of Egypt, in simple words the Egyptian god of chaos.

“HISS, Kai Reid, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I hope it’d be quite fun to fight along with you. I don’t want to waste any time. Let’s get started already!” he hissed and was paying respect to me even though he was a god and the good part. He was ready to fight. I nodded to him and jumped on his back.

In my front stood Beelzebub, bamboozled! But I knew in his mind he already had come up with a strategy.

“Apep, let’s finish him.” I smirked. I was ready to avenge my Slyory.

“AAAARRGGGHHHH!!” I screamed and raided Beelzebub as I moved forward. The sky turned dark, and the winds swirled and formed a typhoon, and moved along behind us. The ground shook as well.

It was indeed the end for Beelzebub! But he was quick and a master strategist. He ran toward the public stand and closed his fist with a spell that again summoned some insects, but this time it was butterflies.

“What? Why butterflies?” It confused me, but I was alert, so I didn’t fall into any kind of trap.

The butterflies he summoned got scattered in the whole stadium and sat over the publics and behind the butterflies some earthworms, beetles and mosquitoes crawled and moved quickly into different parts of the arena.

“Beelzebub! Whatever you’re doing doesn’t matter, you can’t defeat Apep,”

“I know, but I can try!” He came up with a reply which was expected of him.

As his spell completed, he again confronted me.

He rocked his hand and his yellow shock waves covered it, as he transferred his mana in the arms and in a second, the mana in his arms got converted into a long whip.

In simple words, it looked like whips made of electricity.

“AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!” He screamed and attacked me with his whips. The whips were electrifying. It hit Apep in the head…

But Apep didn’t even flinch. He was strong.

“Let’s finish him and show everyone who ones whom”

“AAARRGGHHH!!” I screamed

“ZOOOOM!” A Lazer left from Apep’s mouth that intended to hit Beelzebub but he dodged it swiftly, and while dodging, he attacked me with his one whip and wrapped the other one around Apep’s neck.

“Got it!” He yelled.

He pulled me from Apep’s neck and whacked me on the ground as he threw a centipede on me that crawled in my ear fast enough that I couldn’t do anything, on the other hand his summoned bugs were distracting Apep, but it was not enough to keep him from destruction.

“RAAARGGHHH!” Apep screamed and used an ability of his that was phenomenal…

He wrapped the space and time that made all the insects around him disappear as they were sucked into a black hole. I was expecting something like this from a god.

I was still on the ground. I tried to stand up but my body was getting weak because of the centipedes which were inside my body but I somehow got up and looked at Beelzebub, and he already was chanting another spell and suddenly,

“Boooooom!!”

A big blast of energy escaped Beelzebub’s hands and all the dark clouds in the sky were gone. The next thing I saw was a sun in the sky that seemed like an apocalyptic sun.

“RAAARRGGHHH!!!”

The next I saw was Apep’s screaming. His skin was burning, and he was in immense pain.

But he was still fighting. I knew he was strong enough to protect himself, so I switched my focus to Beelzebub. But as I turned toward him…

“KABOOM!” he shot a power shot at me. He was waiting for me to turn so he can hit me with it. The shot was more powerful than last time, which hit Slyory. As it hit me, I heard few breaking sounds and intense pain in my abdomen. It felt as my ribs were broken.

I crashed on the ground, and the crash was so terrible that it crushed the ground to pieces.

But as I collided, he grabbed my arms by his whips and whacked me at least ten times on the ground; I was losing a sense of my surrounding, but I still had the will to fight. I crawled to stand up and Beelzebub approached me…

“WHACK!” he kicked me in my face to stop me from standing back.

“You did well, Kai, but now it’s time to rest.” He came closer to my face and whispered in my ears, and moved back to finish Apep, who was still fighting the sunlight.

“No, I am not going to lose! I will win! I will win!!!” when it felt everything was lost, I had a small vision of the future where I saw Lucifer’s wife leaving the stadium with the angel.

“RAAARRRGGHHH!!! NOOO!!!” the vision pumped me, the will to fight was again back in me, I screamed with dark aura flowing through my veins and suddenly hundreds of snakes covered my body and formed an armor and it helped me stand again I was flowing with power now, I felt as my fractured ribs got healed as well.

Beelzebub turned after hearing the scream, his eyes got widened and he the next thing he felt near him was me…

I landed a hard punch in his face that bounced him meters away…

“Yes, it’s time to sleep! But not mine,” I smirked and kicked him,

He took a knee and stood again to fight me; he raised more incest from his behind and marched toward me at his best speed and tried a power punch on me, but I blocked his attack.

“Bam!”

“Whack!”

“Smash!”

We pounced each other with hard blows and made each other bleed; it was a never-ending showdown, and I knew it well. So, I took another way to defeat him.

“Camouflage!”

I chanted a spell and disappeared into thin air. He was surprised, but not enough to let his guard down. With this advantage, I rushed to Apep to check if he’s alright or not.

“Apep! Are you alright?” I asked in a low voice to prevent Beelzebub from pinpointing my location.

“Kai! Thanks for coming! Where’s Beelzebub?” despite of his current state, he asked me if I was doing good in the match or not. He was indeed a legend.

“he’s a bit far. Wait a minute, I will help you. I know the sun is your biggest weakness, that’s why you reside inside pyramids!”

“No! don’t! the spell he chanted is quite easy but unbreakable, the sun is not a normal sun, it can be destroyed but in return it sucks all your mana and energy and whoever destroys it, it doesn’t matter because it’s a win-win situation for him better send me back!” Apep grunted and replied.

“DAMN! BEELZEBUB!!!” I made a pissed face and sent Apep back into his world and now only me and Beelzebub remained in the arena.

As Apep disappeared, everyone was aware of my location and sending back a serpent takes some time and it was enough for him to pin me down, and as I expected, he came for me.

“FUCK!”

“Unconceadledo!!” He said a spell loudly which I was unaware of what it was meant for, but as I looked down at myself, I found out what it was for. I was unhidden now.

He was ready to use his specialty on me and I knew it’d be the end for me. I quickly used a basic magic and pushed him back! And chanted another spell.

“SUMMON!”

In the next moment, he was covered with my snakes, and I was trying to buy some time, so I ordered my snakes to strangle him.

“NOW! CHOKE HIM!!” I yelled

“You think you can defeat me with this minor spell!! Hahaha!!!” He laughed and did something that was weird. He absorbed my snakes into his body but there was something he didn’t know; it was a trap.

“BLOOD POISON!” I yelled, and it was meant to turn the blood of snakes into poison and now, as they were inside him, it poisoned his blood as well.

“No! Nooooo!!!” He fell on his knees and I knew I won. I collected to gather all my power in my arm to land a finishing blow but something happened which was not understandable. My body went numb, and every part lost energy as it was dead.

“WHAT! WHAT THE FUCK!!!” I was bamboozled. And in the very moment, every butterfly that was scattered by him at the start came back to him.

“I am sorry Kai, but it’s the end for you!”

“BOOOOOOM!!!”

He used his specialty on me; I lost my consciousness and the last thing I heard before falling was…

“Tom Beelzebub has won the match by defeating Kai Reid, the serpent king!”
