The Dream Saga - Chapter 84

“That’s so fucked up!” Lee reacted in a funny manner. His face seemed like he just heard about war crimes or something like that. He was shocked, and I really enjoyed the look on his face, but it was depressing at the same time.

“Hey! Shush! Something is heading this way!! Get ready,” the guys who were leading the party got alert of something. As he said something was off, I used my thermal vision to check for any threats.

“I don’t sense anything around us. Maybe it’s from the front.” I tried my vision but nothing was there only thing I was not sure about was the front.

“I guess we need to move forward if we want to-”

“BOOM!”

When we thought everything was okay, something inside a room ahead of us fell with a sound.

“Get your guns ready. It could be a zombie.” We were ready with our guns in our hands. Hearts racing, throats dry and finally, the thing that was in the room got into our sight.

“HUH!!!”

When we found out the creature behind the wall, we all made an awkward face, because the creature was not a zombie and was a wild pig who was wandering in the area in search of food.

“What the hell! I thought it was something hostile, but look what we got! A boar”

“I guess so, but we need to move forward.” The guys in front ordered.

We were now out of the school and were in a sacred type place; it appeared as a shrine to me. There were broken sculptures of gods, plates and utensils that were used for prayers were scattered in the shrine. The place was complete hell; it was hard to say that this place was a holy place once. While exploring the shrine, I saw an ammunition crate which grabbed my attention.

“Hey! Look what I found! An ammunition crate. What is this doing here?”

“Ammunition crate? Where?” the guys who were with me quickly reacted to me as it was some big clue. They rushed to me and began to check the ammunition crate.

“Let me check! Move aside, please.”

The crate held some important clue about which only Jill men knew; I moved aside, and they started to check, and in the meantime, Lee approached me.

“Hey, I have few questions, first what was the thing we arrived in the flying chariot? I didn’t ask then because you seemed pretty bamboozled and the second question, what is an ammunition crate?”

“Ahahahaha!! Lee!!! that not a flying chariot, it works on petrol and it’s a vehicle that flies. I’m sorry about that. I know it’s new for you.” after listening to Lee’s question, I burst out in laughter. It was so funny to see an intelligent person being confused.

“Hey! Don’t laugh, I knew I was just curious,”

“Ah, sorry, and that thing they are checking is an ammunition crate. In short, it’s similar to explosives and cannon balls that we use in our world. Do you get it now?”

“Hmm, I guess I get it now,”

“Hey guys, I got a clue!!” while I and Lee talked, one of the guys who were checking the box shouted.

“What is it? What did you find?” I asked.

“Look at the lid of the box. Here’s a message written. I guess it’s by Ada! Let me real it loud”

“Jill, or whoever, reading this message. I am alive! Zombies got my party and only I am left, and I don’t know for how long. I secured this ammunition crate, but I couldn’t get near to the food supply, there a lot of zombies surrounding that and I can’t get near to the chopper as well.”

“I feel the message was written not so long ago. If we hurry, we can save Ada and secure the supplies as well.”

“Yes, I guess Kai is right. If you guys give us back up, me and Kai can fulfill the task easily and there’s no time to waste. Let’s hurry!”

The situation changed in a sudden, we now knew Ada was near and was in trouble. And we had no other choice than finding her in open so, we rushed out of the shrine and got ourselves to the roof to get a better view.

“Kai, use you powers and check for Ada’s traces.”

I closed my eyes and concentrated all my focus on my smelling sense. Thankfully, I was a leviathan, and I had the serpent’s power to smell things easily.

“I am getting a scent. Seems like zombies! I get another scent, a woman’s perfume! Bread! Not so far, it’s near. It’s in the open, the scent is mixed in air! She’s near! She’s near!” I pinpointed many scents in the air and, among all of them, I assumed the woman’s scent was of Ada.

“It’s Ada! She’s nearby. I have an idea. If I climb up a little and try to use my thermal vision, I might be able to pinpoint her location,”

I looked at everyone’s face and nodded to them and climbed on a tower to pinpoint her location; I used my thermal vision to locate her and bingo! I found her but what I saw was terrible; she was on a roof that was an under attack of zombies! I even saw the chopper, and the supplies plugged to it with a cable. It seemed like she was successful in securing the supplies and the only thing which mattered now was Ada’s exfil and since I and Lee were here; it was not a big deal.

“Hey, I see Ada! And the chopper, she’s two roofs far from our location! Hurry up, Lee, you lead them. I am coming alright!”

“Fine! Leave it on me!”

Lee directly went with the others to protect Ada as I ordered him while I descended.

“We are here, hey you guys support her! And take her to the chopper while I finish all the zombies off around her and the chopper.” Lee ordered.

As he ordered them, they went straight to Ada’s position to support her Lee descended to finish all the zombies from below, as he reached the low ground, he removed his coat and unsheathed his sword in his style he smirked and before starting his show down; he called Ada, who was just above him.

“Hey! You are Ada right! We’ve been searching for you for quite a time. I’m glad that you’re okay, now I want to give a gift! I will slay these dead men for the hard work you’re doing for your people!” only he knew what was in his mind. It felt as he was flirting, but it was his gratitude.

“Who are you! Are you insane! Come back up here!” Ada yelled from above after listening to him, as she was unaware of his powers.

“Don’t worry and enjoy!”

He smiled and faced his sword in front of him.

“Fine! It’s time for my revenge! You scum, you made me look pathetic. I will slay you all this time and not even bones will be left!”

“ZOOOM!”

He raged at the zombies with his sword as lightening, his was slicing them as vegetables. It appeared as a ray of light was burning the zombies away but no, it was Lee in his absolute menace form, emitting his dark aura.

In the meantime, Kai had cleared all the zombies around the chopper and had successfully rescued Ada, too.

“Lee, we are ready to go fall back. There’s no point in killing them!” Kai yelled.

“Wait! Just a minute more!” Lee replied.

“Okay, I guess this is it! Here you!”

“ETERNAL DARKNESS!”

He chanted a spell that engulfed his sword in pure darkness; it absorbed all the light from the environment that made it feel like midnight during day. He swinged his sword and released a dark slash from his blade that absorbed all the zombies in the area.

“What the hell!!” everyone who watched it was shocked. Their mouths were wide open.

“It’s done! Let’s go!” while we looked, Lee quickly jumped on the chopper with a big smile on his face.

“LET’S GO! LET’S GO!” the pilot rapidly lifted the chopper away from the location and got everyone out. We finally secured our mission.

Everyone was praising Lee because of his extraordinary performance, Ada was smiling with a blush on her face by the look of her, it felt as she fell for Lee.

Soon after few minutes of flight we were back at our base with food and Ada, it was time for celebration. I saw Jill on the helipad, she was happily waiting for us.

As the chopper landed, she ran and hugged all of us…

“I thought I will lose all of you today. Thank you, everyone, for making it back! I am so glad, let’s throw a party tonight”

She was happy she grabbed our hands and pulled us inside the room, but when she was pulling me, I saw Lee; he was getting dizzy, so I stopped and supported him; and now I was walking with Lee toward the door but as I stepped inside the door,

“ZOOM”

“WE TELEPORTED”
