And that made him fall on his knees. He was open for a finishing blow and I took that opportunity and kicked his face like a football, as he got hit, his eyes blurred and he fainted.

“Son of bitch! I thought I would die today, but- ahh!” I took a whiff of breath but suddenly I felt tremendous pain in my leg I looked down and what I saw was bizarre the whole room was covered in my blood, it scared me I quickly wrapped a piece of a cloth on my feet and collected all the money from the house. And finally, I grabbed the knob but again when I was about to leave, I heard a grunting. It was the man.

“YOU THINK YOU DEFEATED ME? NO! BY THE TIME YOU WILL WAKE UP TOMMOROW YOU’LL BE DEAD! I REMEMBER YOUR FACE!”

What he said scared me. I was feared, and I finally made a decision.

“I am sorry. I have to do this for my survival in this cruel world.. And you brought this on your own!” I pulled the knife and rested it on his throat and said the last word ‘Rest in peace’

Blood splattered all over my face and I did what I had to I had no regret I chose the path my own and I had to walk on it I left the building I was covered in blood I was scared that if someone saw me like this, they’ll suspect me or might even put me in prison, in this fear I began to run. Something struck me that made me fly meters away I couldn’t understand what it was and when I looked up, I saw three big brutes covered in metal armors from tip to toe they seemed like body guards of the sloth and their size was enormous and an armor made it hard for me to find an opening,”

“I WILL KILL YOU!” the hit hurt my ego, and that fueled rage in me, but when I was about to stand up Lee came running to me and patted on my shoulder.

“Look below dumbass, your both legs are crushed to powder. Let me handle this,”

“ETERNAL BLADE!”

As Lee used his skill to kill all the bodyguards, around seventy-five percent of his mana depleted but he was still standing and the only thing that stood between the portal was him and the sloth king.

“Let’s see how you will handle this!” Lee swinged his sword and went to slash the leader but suddenly his body stopped working. I couldn’t understand what happened until I saw a device in his hand that sucked life force from him.

“LEEE!!!!!! NOOO!!!!”

When I thought he’d kill Lee, someone barged it! it was my dad with a shotgun! The shot stunned for a moment, but it was not enough to kill him!

“Lee, son. Are you alright?”

“Yes, Mr. Reid, I am fine!”

“Take Kai and run. I don’t know when the portal will open again. Take him and go” everything happened so quick, I saw Lee running to me. He quickly hanged me on his back and ran closer to the portal. He stopped just a few inches from the portal and asked.

“How will you kill him?”

“I will. You should go!” he pulled a grenade pin and pushed Lee into the portal and ran toward the sloth.

“Nooooooo!!!” Kai yelled

“What were you doing pig?” he growled at me.

“Nothing sir, I think there has been a misunderstanding!!” I was caught and I knew I was fucked but I still tried my best to get out of his claws. Whatever I said didn’t make sense; it was of no use and again he pulled me and bashed me on another wall.

“Yeah, I guess there’s a misunderstanding and for that you’re going to pay the price” He was not listening to me and was not holding back.

He began to choke me with both of his hands now, I felt as I will die today but in the very moment, I saw something, ‘a glimpse of my grandfather’ with that memory my body began to move on its own.

I opened my eyes and tried to started to kick my body violently in order to escape and it was my luck that I somehow got a vase from the table nearby, I whacked my knee into his abdomen and in the split second I bashed the vase on his head.

“What the hell, is he a man or a monster! I thought I would die today!! Son of-” I took a whiff of breath while the man was struggling on the ground.

“Ah! You’re a strong one right! Then take this!!” I kicked him in the face that was already bleeding; he was a big brute but as I had heard ‘big one falls the hardest’ and I felt as it was kind of true.

“Let’s see how will you protect your money this time!” I snatched the bag of money from him and was about to leave the building something unexpected happened.

“Where do you think you’re going with all my money! Scum!” he grunted from behind.

He was still up for a fight but when I turned to get a look of him, I saw something that was bad news for me. A slim stream of blood was flowing out of my calves. I raised my leg and saw a small knife stabbed in my leg.

“What the hell! Where did this kni-” before I could understand anything, the man landed a massive punch on my face. It was enough to break my jaw bone but somehow, I endured it.

He was again up and the look in his eyes was terrifying, I knew he was about to finish me and this is how the small theft turned into a death match pretty fast.

Now I was against a brute with a weapon and I knew it was either you ride or die match.

I knew it was the end for me. I remembered every memory of my life. And closed my eyes in pain. I had no regrets. I was happy with my life. My eyes got blurry, the rock I was laying was half red in my blood and when I thought everything was over, I saw something, a person.

Who was heading toward me.
