The Dream Saga - Chapter 95

As I and Lee talked, a knight came running to us. He was panting by running for too long. He handed me a letter that was in a scroll that looked like some kind of invitation; I opened it and there was a message interpreted in it as I expected.

“My majesty, this is the lord of Levlee, Ailivan. I am glad that I got an opportunity to write you this letter. I am glad that you and lord Ouroboros are back. It was our blessings we got from the devil king that we were able to watch you fight for the devils and serpents. All the people of the country are in great happiness. And in response to that we want to show our gratitude to you, I hope you will like it, today in the city of levlee. The serpent town. We have organized a festival for you. Please join us today. It will be our great honor to serve you today. Your loyal, Ailivian, the lord of Leviathan domain..” The letter was formal and was full of praises. It felt jolly. I looked up toward the city and saw some tents and noises coming from the city and I knew it was today.

“Lee, today’s a festival? A celebration?” I looked at lee with a happily shocked face. And in response, he smiled at me and stood up and asked me to come.

“Yeah, they were preparing for it since we teleported. I guess we should join them. It will boost their morale and it might lighten up our mood as well.

“Yeah, we definitely need to lighten up our mood, let’s go.”

We stood up from our seats and began walking toward the festival. While walking toward the festival, I asked Lee about the festivals.

“Hey, do these festivals are organized usually?”

“Um, well, not so much, maybe just twice a year. Because there is nothing much to celebrate and the people are not into fun, I don’t know why, but I guess things might change now. Well, they adore you, so they’d keep you motivated by this stuff I guess.”

“Look, we are here.”

After walking for a while, what we saw next to us was an enormous gate decorated with flowers and balloons. It looked pretty, with vibrant colors.

As I entered inside, I saw various things that looked unreal and beyond extraordinary. I saw a Ferris wheel that touched the clouds and it looked scary and humongous. I saw many other points of attractions in the festivals, like roller coasters that were twice the size of regular one. I saw small playhouses as well. It looked so beautiful as I was in an amusement park.

“Hey, what do we do! Which one should I go first!”

I was excited. I felt I was back to my childhood days when I would hop on my dad’s back and travel the whole amusement park. I remember I would ride on horses in the Pegasus round with other kids. I never went on a Ferris wheel or a roller coaster because I was so small that my parents were afraid to go with me on it. the things were making me so nostalgic I remembered every little memory of my childhood I saw cotton candy stores where I’d go and eat it with my parents and the small stores where they sold children toys.

“Ah, It’s making me so nostalgic what do I do, I feel I am back in my childhood days, Lee which one should I go first? You shall join me too?” I was so excited I didn’t even notice what Lee was doing and began pulling his sleeves to call him.

“Kai! Kai!! Calm down! You will tear my sleeves, and you can’t ride. Now you are the king have some dignity don’t act. Like a child, do you want every one to think you are a child dummy! And before anything else, I need to tell something you need to attend the ceremony where people and other Important people are gather I guess you might have to give a speech as well!” he dragged me toward the opposite direction where the boring adults were having boring conversation. While I yelled to play.

“NOOO!! NOOOO! PLEASE!”

Even after my painful screams he didn’t listen to me today he was acting a total brute now I was far from the merry go rounds, the roller coasters and other food stalls and in front of me there were hundreds of boring nobles of the country waiting for me to give a formality speech about how grateful I was.

“Oh, seems like our main guest has arrived, the one for whom the whole festival is organized.” A man who was hosting the stage saw me coming and announced my entrance and suddenly everything stopped. All the eyes in the place were over me and I felt a bit awkward but I smiled to hide it.

There were so many people one of the knight came forward and showed me the way to my seat it was in the front.

The place was well decorated and there were all kind of things like fountains flowers and ceramic sculptures and other decorative stuff the stage had a microphone in between people were giving their speech it felt boring to me and finally they called me to the stage.

“Now, I would like to call our king Kai Reid the leviathan king on the stage to say some beautiful words.”

I walked up to the stage to give my speech, the eyes of everyone that were down with formalities were looking into my eyes, I was nervous but I had to do it so I took a deep breathe, looked at everyone’s face and began to speak the words of formality, I felt as I was in school doing a presentation, with all the students in front of me and once I finish I will go and back home and will have fun so I began.

“hello everyone I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and is pleased to be here I am so glad that you all welcomed me to this wonderful festival. I never thought I would be standing here ever without you all people. Today I walked through the festival and I found too many attractions that were made by all you people I feel very honored and happy because you all did too much to welcome me and I cant express in words I am really glad, for all this.”

“I remember when I was battling with other devils of the continent I was scared and I was demotivated but when I looked at all you people I got energy to keep going on I felt as the flame that I had inside me which was fading slowly got enraged because of all your prayers. I sometimes felt I should quit but then I saw all the faces of the children who were cheering me up and were thinking me as an hero and that gave me the energy to fight and fight and fight. I am glad that you all were with me I thank you all with my deepest heart.”

With this speech I left the stage and came back to my seat Lee was looking at me as I did something very unbelievable I felt a bit shy because he knew something that other people didn’t know about,

“What? What are you looking at? Don’t give me that look.” He had a smirking face and that was making it too obvious.

“Nothing just watching how a person can speak white lies so easily I know all you told everyone is a hoax and you’re quite good at hiding things I must say that!”

“HA-HA, well I learned this from politicians in my country. In my previous world. They can speak complete lie with a straight face and you will not get a single idea that all the thing they are saying is a complete lie. I learned it from them because what should I tell these people that I lived because I had to and they kicked me in a fight I never wanted to be in like man what do I do if you lost the trident war it’s not my matter of concern and talking about the people they just wanted to enjoy fighting and brutality that’s all”

“Hey, Kai, chill man but I agree with most of the words you say- ah look seems like it’s ending now we can go I guess to the festival.”

As I heard Lee I pulled him out of his seat and ran straight for the festival I was so happy as I broke through a prison after years . I rushed to the first thing I saw and that was the merry go round and a popcorn stall.

Today I enjoyed the most after many days and it felt like heaven but tomorrow was not going to be the same.
