The Dreams Of A Goddess - Chapter 15 1.13 Meeting Up
Lu Ru had arrived to her apartment floor, seeing that her space was still the same as to where it was left, she felt relieved that there was no scent of her brother’s smell in her apartment. She had truly despised that hunk of meat that wasn’t as smart as her and was an attention stealer, Lu Ru organized her apartment to it’s shiny state it was before she left to keep her mind off of Lu Zhen.
Lu Ru had an epiphany and called for her system.
“Mir?” Lu Ru spoke.
Mir appeared in his human form but was projected like a ghost due to not having a host to support his soul/system.
[Yes, Host?]
“How is Qiu Feng?”

Information retrieved successfully. Here is what Qiu Feng did after you left:
He went to try to find you on the main streets while you took the inconspicuous ones. He was really worried and met Shen Shui really early. He took a slight interest towards her but it has been prevented by the constant reminder of your existence. He has been doing nothing but hanging out with Shen Shui during the time you were away. Their relationship has been stunted and is slowly sloping downward due to her nosiness. Her constant prying is about you and Qiu Feng would not open about you at all. Every single time she brings it up when she feels closer to him, she is shunned. And so, Shen Shui is patiently waiting for him to lower his guard and make him help her case using his weakness when he reveals it.]
“And where is he now?” she spoke again with more interest.
[Replying to Host, Qiu Feng is meeting the Jox gang that Lu Zhen has been thrown to, to gather more information about Lu Ru. He’s at the usual club that Lu Ru visited with her brother. It will be easy to spot him because you know the turf better than him. Will that be all, Host?]
“Yes, Mir, thank you,” she answered and watched Mir fade from her vision.
Her face started to distort into an evil smile because she was going back. Changed.
She went into her closet in her plain bedroom and shuffled around with her clothes. Mainly, her clothes consisted of casual and informal clothes but she kept one dress of importance for this day. It might not be exactly for this occasion but she thought it was the most attractive dress her brother gave her because his tastes were usually bad and never did Lu Ru once pull out this dress so her brother wouldn’t know that she kept one for herself and not for others to see. I mean, what could she do? Lu Ru had everything Lu Zhen gave her but to not be associated with her brother, this dress was the only unique one from her closet.
So, she put on the black long-sleeve sequin dress to the thighs with a low cleavage to the middle area of her bosom and a higher than usual shoulder pad. It was more extravagant than the cheap dresses that her brother bought for her. But it was more than enough to keep her brother off her tracks if she changed her clothing.
Lu Ru put on a dark eyeshadow to fit the dark surroundings with crimson red lipstick with black pumps as a matching set. She straightened her hair and fled her apartment with a hand purse that only had cash and phone right away. The night she fled Nicolas and Meng’s house, she wanted to get this over with and make a serious alibi that wouldn’t backfire with her unstable condition that was just compiled by Nicolas and Meng. She was going to use this to her advantage.
Lu Ru stepped out of her house dressed up elegantly and hauled a taxi towards the bar that she frequented with her brother. It took them quite a long time because it was the city over the one she now lives in. Now thinking back at it, Lu Ru realized how exhausting it must’ve been if she ran miles into another city and never stopped. And running barefoot, it was impossible for Lu Ru if she had not been on her adrenaline rush.
She had arrived at the bar when the taxi stopped in front of a big bar that would be considered a high end part of the neighborhood. Lu Ru knew that she had went to the right place because Lu Zhen liked to be closer to home if time allowed. Lu Ru paid the taxi driver and made her way to the entrance. She passed the bouncer because her face was the most known around the place and she frequented to see the Jox gang to give information. She looked around the bar to see the familiar face of Qiu Feng having his eyes wander where the Jox gang was. However, she wasn’t going to use Qiu Feng, She was going to make him see that she was not interested.
Lu Ru walked slowly passed many of the gang members and managed to slip a gun into her hands and put it in her purse while bee lining towards the head of the Jox gang she had not seen in such a long time. Lu Ru took her time to sit in his area in front of him.
“Hey,” she grabbed his attention.
“Xiao Ru! Long time no see!” he spoke with happiness. “I’m glad you’re back after all those months your brother pestered me to find you.”
“Pfft,” she chuckled. “Come on, Fu Xiong. You know I don’t like my brother. Did you think I came here to talk about that?”
“I assume so,” he took out a cigarette, put it to his mouth and lit it. “You’re not with him for the first time. If you came the next time with your brother, I would’ve thought that you guys tied the knot.”
“Quit joking,” Lu Ru turned serious and looked straight into his eyes. “Why are you protecting him?”
Fu Xiong raised his eyebrows. He was a little curious as to why the little kitten had started to bare her fangs.
“Didn’t you want that?” he asked.
“Why would I want that? Kill him for all I care. He’s the lawbreaker for touching me. If I knew everything that happened with my time next to him, I would’ve carried my revenge, you know? Sadly, I do not,” Lu Ru let out a huge sigh. “All I remember are bits and pieces about ‘homework’.”
“Oh, that. Hacking information was your homework wasn’t that right?” he laughed because he remembered how much in a daze she was before she heard homework and she became a machine continuously hatching up a lot of information of different groups.
“Oh, you know better,” Lu Ru stopped the waiter for a drink. “Can I get a color changing slushy margarita?”
Lu Ru turned back to Fu Xiong when the waiter turned to get her order and continued her conversation, “He’s going to court by our father. I’m not supposed to interfere I guess. But, don’t cover for him. He’s not worth it.”
“But he told me that you cared for him?” he asked another question, now interested in two different alibis.
“That’s his delusion. We had a fight in my apartment when he found me. Then I fled to my friends’ house for a few months. Tell me, you know me more than my brother. I gave myself to you once when I escaped last time, remember?” Lu Ru smiled self-deprecatingly. “I was so messed up back then.”
“Xiao Ru,” Fu Xiong began to become very serious about the impending danger that he could feel in his guts. “Don’t do that.”
Lu Ru took out the gun and pointed it to her head, “Tell me, Fu Xiong. Was I ever really needed in this life? Why is it that no one really cared? Should I even exist?”
Lu Ru was not kidding as she cocked the gun once to remove the safety lock.
“Xiao Ru, you are needed!” he shouted for the neighboring people to hear.
He had not meant to attract attention but he was panicking and to see the first woman he gave his virginity to was going to kill herself, he felt the pain in his heart. He still had feelings for her. He remembered her crying face whenever they met and he comforted her. At that time, he had not created the Jox gang. It was the reason of Lu Ru’s history that made him created the Jox gang for her. The love he had for her never diminished so he had never taken another girl after her. He knew that what they had was a fling but whomever she ended up, he was going to be happy for her. But he did not expect her to try to take her own life right in front of him.
Qiu Feng had heard the commotion and saw Lu Ru trying to take her life. He had dashed to her side and took the gun away from her hand.
“I’m taking this away. Lu Ru, come back,” Qiu Feng took her hand and tried to pull her away from the bar.
“No, go away, Qiu Feng. You’re not needed,” Lu Ru slipped her hand out of his grasp because she wanted to confront Fu Xiong and not Qiu Feng.
“Who is this?” Fu Xiong spoke, now offended at how the other man took her hand like that.
“My cousin,” she answered.
“My girlfriend,” Qiu Feng dared to say.
