The Dreams Of A Goddess - Chapter 6 1.5 Making Her Decision

She looked at him in the eyes for a good second before, she nodded. She knew that Nicolas, even though they had just met, was already worrying for her.

Lu Ru left him to clean from her back while she removed her robes, trying to endure the pain from just moving. Nicolas had noticed the pain that Lu Ru was emitting from just removing her robes so Nicolas did his best not to put much pressure on her body, slowly shampooing her hair and then conditioning it.

After finishing her hair, Nicolas left to get a bigger towel for Lu Ru to clean herself and Nicolas came back to help massage her sore muscles, avidly dodging the parts where it could get very be well considered as harassment. Nicolas didn’t want to be screwed up later in the future so he only did the parts where Lu Ru could function normally the next day and not cause much pain to her body like the day she crashed and broke down in his residential neighborhood.

Lu Ru and Nicolas wallowed up in the silence and enjoyed the peaceful environment. Lu Ru had fallen asleep from the massage and the next day, she felt refreshing than she was previously. She could stand up better but she reminded herself that she couldn’t get ahead of herself. Remembering that her feet hadn’t healed, she crawled off the sofa. The sat on the floor but it was better than staying in one place for a long period of time.

Accept or Decline

Lu Ru quickly pressed accept because Lu Ru wouldn’t be idiotic to press the decline button. Look. Yume had taken Lu Ru’s body. There was no way that Yume forgot that she had to recover to return to God’s realm. Not once did she wanted to stay and traverse worlds. She wanted to be with her friends.

Her system left after the delayed notice of her first mission. Ayyy. She must finish her task quickly.

The screen had just closed when Nicolas made his way outside his room and looked at Lu Ru sighing on the floor. His eyes traveled to her feet and a realization popped into his mind.

“Good morning, Lu Ru,” Nicolas bent to Lu Ru’s eye level. “Let’s get your feet out of those bandages, okay? I feel that you are already healing well. I forgot to say that you passed out on the road in my residential area but when I carried you home, you knocked out for a week. I can see that running a long time has depleted your energy, therefore, your body shut down. And to add on the days that you have come out of your small coma, I bet that you are a little sore after I have given you a massage.”

Lu Ru listened carefully and nodded. Lu Ru had to go through some information sorting before they started unraveling her feet to see no scars.

“That’s good,” Nicolas wiped Lu Ru’s feet and pulled her up. “Since your feet are fully recovered after a week, you can do anything that you want in this house.”

Anything in the house?

Why did hearing this statement make Lu Ru want to punch Nicolas for thinking of making her a housewife?

Lu Ru shook her head. Lu Ru’s eyes stared in Nicolas’s eyes with a sparkle.

“I want to work. I want to see what’s outside. I haven’t seen the outside in so long. I hope I don’t forget all the places,” Lu Ru stated.

Lu Ru didn’t want Nicolas to interfere with her goal to finish her tasks. She didn’t want to spend long in all the worlds she was visiting. She should not have any attachments to people that she can’t see in her life. But for Nicolas, Lu Ru was willing to consider having a confidante next to her. Even if she kept her relationships distant, she would always remember that there was someone that was next to her and keep her safe.

Hmmm. Not specifically like a husband but more a mutual friend. Friends of few words but respect each other. That was what Lu Ru was thinking in her head. Since her task was to find her lover, it wasn’t going to come to her hands easily so taking a step into the harsh world would she find who she considers her lover. She was going to expand her connections. And that was going to have to start with working shifts at a job.
