The Dungeon Of Pandemonium - Volume 1 Chapter 12 House
One thing that is great while creating dungeon floors is that it doesn’t make any noise. Thanks to this, Jin could work without worrying of waking up Iris.
On the fourth floor or the house floor as he decided to call it since the floor would move and it would be difficult to keep count on the floors.
Anyway, on the house floor, he opened a large area to live in. He added trees here and there and created a forest a few hundred meters further in the floor.
Jin added a few rivers that would flow down towards a lake that was near the house and the rivers would all start from the dungeon walls that he had made indestructible. Of course, he didn’t want anyone from breaking through the walls, ceiling or floor.
Even tough they were transformed into an indestructible material, they were still smooth to the touch so there wasn’t any problems.
There was a few hills that Jin added a little bit further. Not that it really mattered, since he could change the land any time he wanted with the help of the dungeon core.
He made the ceiling really high so that if there was some sort of flying demon or monster, they wouldn’t have any problems living on this floor either.
Of course, when he said if there was any, he was referring to the demons he had wanted to summon in order to let them grow indefinitely.
However, since he didn’t know what kind of demon there was, he could only make preparations for any cases.
Once he had completed the land, Jin moved to start the house. Back on earth, he had always wanted to be able to live in a big house close to the ocean.
Well, this time, he would have to settle for a lake, but that was better than nothing. The water coming from the walls of the dungeon was really clean and almost transparent.
When he had created the lake, he had taken into account that some of the future occupants might want to go and swim so he transformed the bottom of the lake from the dirt to rocks which were close enough not to let the water pass through the cracks. He made a small passage so that the water from the lake could flow out of it as well to avoid an inondations created by the few rivers that made their way into the lake.
All around the lake he installed small rocks. With this he could walk all around the water without any problems of getting his feet dirty. He had the GP right now so why not? And it’s not like the house wouldn’t be used after a certain amount of time.
They would live there from now on unless some exceptional matter happened but Jin doubted that it would happen so he didn’t care how much he used as it was for their future.
He didn’t forget to make a small quai of wood with a gazebo of stone in the center of it so that they could sit down near a fire. It was really popular back on earth and he had enjoyed it once with his parents… while they were still alive.
He made the exterior first and made all of the walls in wood. He decided not to paint it as he would ask Iris what she preferred when she woke up.
He had obviously made the house really big so on the second floor of the house, he made a dozen room before creating stairs made of glass to get down to the first floor.
On the first floor, there was an immense kitchen and a living room near it. In the living room, three sofas, a small table and a carpet decorated the room. The windows on both side of the room gave a view on the lake while the other gave a view on the forest.
He added a few bathrooms across the first floor and went back to the second floor.
In all the different rooms, he added a bed with a desk and a chair. He didn’t know who was going to live there so he didn’t make any choice himself and would let the person decide instead.
With the house done, he went outside and used rocks to make a beautiful pavement bringing from the house to the lake were he placed a long table with chairs all around.
Jin felt that the atmosphere of this floor was perfect and the only thing it missed was for people to live in here. We’ll it didn’t matter as it would happen sooner or later.
He transformed the ceiling of the dungeon in a sky and since it was night the starts shined brightly upon the lake were Jin could see the reflections.
Last but not least, he summoned birds so that they could hear them from time to time. However, he only let them fly near the forest as he didn’t want them to come to close to the house.
With all said and done, this house floor had costed him way more than he had anticipated and he only had fifty thousand GP left.
He looked one last time at the house he had created and was really proud of himself. Afterwards, he looked at the map to be sure that no one had entered the second floor. And also, to ensure that the villagers hadn’t all left the first floor because of there was monsters under them.
Closely after, he went back to the previous floor and decided to sleep there as well for the night before moving in the house floor as he didn’t want to wake up Iris nor did he want to leave her alone on this floor.
It took him quite some time before falling asleep because he was quite excited to ses the reaction of Iris when she was going to wake up the next morning.
