Ever since he had ascended to the throne, his kingdom had never been progressing. Be it in terms of economy, military prowess or even dungeons, none of it had improved.

The economy couldn’t progress due to not having enough ressources to improve it.

The military couldn’t improve as well because of lacks of funds so they weren’t able to have new equipment. It was also impossible for them to augment the army’s numbers as they were already limited on funds.

The only good point was that the citizens harvest were good. It was truly the only good point.

All of this could have been improved if they could only find a dungeon with a lot of ressources.

Of course, it was extremely difficult for one to find a good dungeon and it would be coveted by other kingdoms which would bring a war.

However, while he knew that a war could solve his problems, he knew that the other kingdoms were like him out of ressources.

This way, even if he wanted to attack another kingdom, there wouldn’t be any benefits.

The kingdom was in dire traits and the only way to remedy to this situation was a strong dungeon.

So, when the day of the trial appeared for the dungeon or the dungeon research day for the kingdoms, the king just like all the others were wishing to have good luck.

However when he saw the face of his mage, he knew that something was wrong. The mage was a friend of his since he was very young and they had worked a lot together. So, of course the air king would tell the problems to his mage.

Than, the face of the mage turned complicated when he finished his work.

“So? Do we have a dungeon?”

“Yes there is only one and it’s in the exact center of the wilderness.”

That’s at this moment that he and the other kings all received a message from the water king proposing a peace treaty for the dungeon.

They were all in the same boat and were in need of a lot of ressources so of course they wouldn’t say no.

Afterwards, the armies leader’s met with the subordinates of the dungeon master and finally the kings made their way to the dungeon as well.

Of course, after everything that happened, the air king couldn’t believe that they would have such an opportunity. Not only were they able to have all the ressources they wanted but there was also no war with the other kingdom’s for the ressources.

With only a few days since the dungeon had been found by the four kingdom’s, already they could see a big improvement in their economy.

All the king’s couldn’t believe that with only a single dungeon master, the economical situation of all their kingdom would improve by leaps and bounds.

Just like the water king, he was someone who cared for his population. So, when he saw that the population was already getting better he did not stop the flow and instead increased it.

He brought back almost every workers that were working in the other dungeons and sent them directly to live in the dungeon with their family.

At the beginning, they did not understand why the king would also send their family in the dungeons. They truly believed that they were punished for one reason or another but when they saw the first floor of the dungeon and the population, they were incredibly happy.

The first floor of the dungeon was a floor where the four kingdom’s made transactions with each others and they were actually living peacefully.

This was a surprise for the new people. There would be new citizens of the dungeons each day and the miners were doing their best to expand the dungeon as far as they could to accommodate everyone.

On the fire king side, the population of his kingdom were extremely poor before the appearance of the new dungeon. He was doing is best to support his citizens.

“The citizens are the blood of a kingdom.”

This phrase given by his father the previous fire king had been etched in his memory. This phrase alone was able to explain the working of a kingdom.

Following the appearance of the new dungeon, he had been happy with the fact that the water kingdom proposed a peace treaty with all of them. He didn’t want to start a war because in the end the one suffering would be his citizens.

A few days after sending the army to the dungeon, he received a message saying that the dungeon had a master and that he would be willing to take up contracts with the kingdoms.

Of course, upon hearing the words dungeon master, he just like the other kings used their mage’s magic to be sent to the dungeon and meet with the supposed dungeon master.

However, the only thing that awaited them was the army leaders of the different kingdom. The dungeon master hadn’t even taken the time to come out to see them in the dungeon.

He believed that this was an insult to his superiority however since there was no way for him to contact him, the only thing he could do was send some troops to take over the dungeon later that day as compensation for the humiliation he suffered.

Since they were already all there, he was thinking of who sending in the dungeon to take it over. Before he even started to think about it, the earth king started to brag of how he had already sent troops to take over the dungeon.

The fire king than remarked that the knight’s leader of the earth king had a white face while the other leaders were trying to hold back their laughter of the king.

He totally didn’t understand why he was so afraid and the others were laughing until he saw them.

Three beautiful girls came towards them and the gaze of the armies leaders got serious and full of respect towards them.

Of course, he immediately understood that they were the subordinates that he had heard about but he couldn’t feel any aura from them.

The fire king really started to doubt his own leader capability until he felt it.

It’s not that he couldn’t feel it before it was just that the girls were holding it back in. The first thing he thought about was how foolish he was. He had actually wanted to fight that?

Not only him, but the water king and the air king all felt the same thing thing. They were truly happy not to have chosen to oppose them.

However, the earth king was different as he wasn’t scared of them and even tried to threaten them.

In his views, the earth king was foolish. He couldn’t tell that his guards had been killed and was still trying to anger them. Unconsciously, the three kings and all four leaders took a few step back.

Before he could even see what happened, the earth king arm was broken, the guards head that he had sent in the dungeons were rolling in front of him and he was shouting in pain while he fell to the floor.

The following words said by the girl who was still wearing a smile made him break in cold sweat.

“This is your last chance.”

On the Earth king side, he had never really cared about his citizens as he believed he was someone who was chosen by the gods. As such, he didn’t attack any importance to them and liked to start war in order to take over more territories.

So, when the offer of the water king appeared he really wanted to reject it. However, the other two kings had already accepted and if he refused he would make an enemy out of the other three.

He liked to send his troops fighting not sending them to their deaths. As such, he too with great reluctance decided to accept the peace treaty.

As such, he sent his soldiers with his guards. His guards had the secret mission to take over the dungeon really fast in order to control it.

He really wanted to make the other three kings look like fools. So, he didn’t waste any time and sent all his most powerful warriors.

Little did he know that he was sending them to their deaths. When the king’s assembled and talked about the dungeon. He couldn’t help himself but to start bragging of how he would become the leader of this dungeon.

However, while the king’s looked a little speechless, the leaders of each king’s trying to hold their laughter made the earth king even more angry.

As such, when the three girls which were the subordinates of the dungeon master appeared. He tried to take by his face by having bow to him and stay by his side. Of course, who wouldn’t want pretty girls to be by their side?

Unluckily for him, he was only digging his own grave as he started to insult them.

Anger could be seen on his face has it turned red and the girls were totally ignoring him. He didn’t even saw that everyone else had backed away from him.

So, when one of the three turned around with a smile, he believed that he had won and started to get full of himself.

What happened next was out of his expectation as the bag she had given him earlier was the heads of his most trusted guards and right after, his arm got broken one way or another.

Before he could even react, he was on the floor.

The next day, something else happened yet again. A new sign had appeared on the wal and they all wanted to see what it was.

Believing it was from the dungeon master as a way to apologize to him, he walked over there first and tried to have it open.

But of course, it didn’t move until the water king put a token in it. Than the water king walked inside like nothing happened.

The earth king also wanted to take what ressources were inside and when he saw the herbs in the room, he got all excited as they too needed herbs.

With a proud and arrogant look in his eyes, he made everyone make way for him to enter the room, only to be denied access by the dungeon through a protective barrier.

Once again, he believed that he had lost is credibility and when he was about to shout to his army to block anyone who wanted to enter the room. The water king spoke loudly enough for the other kings to hear him.

“This was a contract I had with the dungeon master so of course, I and the people I want can enter the room to pluck the herbs out. The dungeon master only want gold in exchange for whatever ressources we want.”

These words not only excited the earth king but also the fire and air king without forgetting the village chief who finally understood just how powerful the dungeon master really was.
