The Dungeon Of Pandemonium - Volume 1 Chapter 30 Creating The Elite Team
1st year, 2nd month, 15th day
In the fifth floor of the dungeon, Jin was currently eating together with Iris, Alma, Mika and Venus.
They were talking about the dungeon and their views on the kings of the different kingdoms.
While Jin was happy with the current development of the dungeon, the girls were a little less happy has they truly had nothing to do.
Normally, they would be occupied at securing the fifth floor of the dungeon but ever since the guards of the earth king had been brought back to the first floor, no one wanted to try their luck. After all, the water king did mention that only one of the girls did this alone.
This way, the girls back on the fifth floor had nothing to do and were getting bored.
Since Jin was getting an extremely good result in populating the dungeon with people, he had a really high amount of GP.
With this and the training floor being completed, he saw no problems with summoning different monsters and demons in the dungeon.
Jin had started the dungeon with undeads because of the ground being suitable for it. This way, the price of summoning was extremely lower.
However, now that he had a lot of GP, he wouldn’t restrict himself with only one type of monster. He would summon monsters that didn’t have a maximum level.
Under Iris recommendations, he would summon some harpies, a few dark elves, a black dragon, tens of dryads, hundred of nymphs and a few dozen salamander.
Jin made a careful choice when deciding on them. He chose monsters that wasn’t as strong as the vampire and succubus in order to not use too much GP.
While it was a lot, it was necessary as they would be the elites of the dungeon in the future and their floor would be way down as well.
For them to show their potential, they would need a time to upgrade their own levels. But, if they were to be summoned and directly sent to battle, it would be a waste of their lives as they would die easily.
As such, he prepared for the future first.
He went down to the training floor and started to summon them.
With all of the monsters to be summoned, he would normally have to pay over a few millions GP. However, since he didn’t need them right now, he could let them upgrade their level on their own even if they were very weak at the beginning.
As such, Jin started to summon the harpies and while he bought one of the strongest specie, they only costed twenty thousands GP since he had decreased their level to 1.
While he couldn’t upgrade the level of monsters with GP, he could summon them for less GP if they were considerably weaker. Thanks to this method that he had discovered a few days ago, he could save approximately a quarter of their actual price.
After summoning ten harpies for two hundred thousands GP, he moved on the next specie. The dark elves.
The dark elves were treated as monsters because of their dark skin even though they still possessed elves blood. Their price wasn’t cheap but it was worth it.
They were said to be able to upgrade their level really fast and they were excellent with a bow. Their price of fifteen thousand for one when their level was decreased to zero was a great opportunity. He bought thirty of them and than moved to the next one.
After a little while, the dryads, nymphs and salamanders were all bought and the last one was the dragon.
As expected a black dragon was really strong and it costed a million GP just to summon him at level one. However, Jin still had approximately one and a half million of GP thanks to the gold the water king had brought him. So, he bought a black dragon that was able to transform.
While it was fine while it was still little, it would have problems moving in a dungeon if it didn’t have the transformation ability.
The dragons were a special specie had they would grow bigger the higher their level. As such, since Jin wanted the monsters to upgrade their levels, the dragon would have a problem in the future.
While he looked really bright thinking about this, it was actually Iris who had reminded him before he started the summoning.
Thanks to all these monsters, in the future, they would be the backbone of the dungeon even if right now they were extremely weak.
Iris, Alma and Mika started to train with them while Venus went back to the house floor with Jin as her level was still higher than the others.
She acted as an assistant to Jin and would properly protect the house floor to not bother her master.
With the elite team completed, Jin felt a little bit reassured towards the next trial that was going to happen half a month from now.
He didn’t know wether it was going to be the beast’s trial like the last time or if it was going to be something else. Either way he was going to prepare for it.
He looked back on the first floor and saw that the water’s king contract had been completed and the herbs had all been taken out.
Since everything was done, once every workers moved out of the room with the last herbs, Jin used the dungeon core to close the gates of the room and sealed it back.
By doing so, the token that the king was holding in one of the richest house on the first floor, broke and evaporated.
He was actually surprised to see the token being destroyed but when he looked at the gate, he understood that everything had been completed and all the herbs had been collected.
There was no need for the room to stay open anymore so, it seemed that the dungeon master had sealed the room and destroyed the only key to open it.
When everything was said and done, with every herbs they had collected, they had been able to make medicine for most of the population. This way, the civilians had mostly been saved by the dungeon and he once again understood how important the dungeon was to them all.
