The Dungeon Of Pandemonium - Volume 1 Chapter 40 Meeting
The day after the end of the trial and the beginning of the real dungeon master life, Jin had Venus bring the four kings and their armies leaders.
Venus and Iris had previously prepared a feast for the kings and leaders. With Jin and the five girls participating, apart from the harpie leader, there would be fourteen people at the table. The table prepared was directly next to the lake.
When Venus came back with the eight humans, they were like always, dazed by the beauty of the land on the house floor. They also seemed a little bit jealous of the floor Jin lived on.
Jin personally met them at the portal that he had created for the meetings in the past. Previously, he hadn’t thought that a portal was this useful. However, the day before, he had to move the troops up the floors and he realized how time wasting it was to climb up or down all the floor to go or come back from the first floor of the dungeon. Because of this, he had bought a teleportation formation where he could have anyone he wanted use it, without the need for the token. This way, his elite troops could move faster without the need of all the fanfare and time in the dungeon.
When the king’s arrived, Jin brought them to the table that they had previously prepared and everyone sat down at the table. Without the need to make any signs, a few vampires who had learned their role under Venus for a few hours brought dishes to the table.
After two months in the dungeon, they had learned that the food was better if they prepared it themselves and only bought the ingredients from the dungeon’s core. The food already prepared only tasted normal so the vampires had to prepare it. While they didn’t have any experience in preparing food, Jin had tasted it and was surprised by their talents. Maybe it was because the vampires who drank blood would prepare some delicacies to eat with their drinks or something. Well, he didn’t ask and didn’t really care either way, as long as the food was good.
With the dishes in front of everyone, Jin thanked everyone for coming and started eating with the others soon following him.
When the king’s ate the food prepared by the vampires, they were surprised by the taste. Even their own personal cook couldn’t make something this good and they couldn’t help but wolf down the food. Even if they wanted to keep their manners, they just couldn’t stop wanting to eat more.
With some mermaids singing in the lake, this was even more perfect. Jin had personally went to the ninth floor to ask the best singers among them and brought them to the lake on the house floor to sing while that ate.
An hour later, when they all ate their fill and had their desert, Jin went down to business. He explained the situation of the dungeon and asked their opinions about the other dungeons since they would most likely come at them. Since they lost most of the people going in their dungeons, it was totally normal for them to want revenge and get rid of a competitor.
He wasn’t scared of the king’s going back to the dungeon’s in their own kingdom’s territory since they wouldn’t want to move everyone once again and they couldn’t be sure what attitude the dungeon master would have with them. They couldn’t even know if they were going to meet with them. As such, the best options for them was to stay in the dungeon of pandemonium.
The kings had long ago understood the true meaning behind the name of the dungeon. Pandemonium was where demons were located which represented Iris and Jin. Also it represented the suffering, the disorder and restlessness when going in the floors which are beyond one’s capability. All together, it reflected the true sense of the word.
Jin didn’t look for trouble with the other dungeon’s since he didn’t really know what he needed since his dungeon was already going very well. However, he was certain that the other dungeon’s were going to come looking for him soon enough.
In his own opinion the dungeon’s in the four kingdom’s most likely created a faction between themselves to help each others and bring peace to themselves. However, Jin wasn’t in this faction and had no intention of joining if he ever got an invitation.
Of course, he didn’t want to join because they would ask of him to send back the people who had went to their dungeon previously and he would lose a lot in this case.
However, with the kings being present in his dungeon, he had access to information about the dungeons in their own territory which would help him a lot.
Hearing that Jin needed information about the dungeon’s they possessed, they were more than happy to help him. In the past, information about the dungeon’s of each kingdoms was extremely confidential. But, ever since Jin’s dungeon appeared, they had more or less abandoned their own dungeon’s. The reason was that this dungeon was better than the others, they could talk with the dungeon’s master, the death were greatly reduced and they could get whatever ressources they needed for their kingdom. Their prosperity had never been better. And more than anything, the war between the four kingdom’s had finally reached an end with the appearance of this new dungeon.
Each king’s couldn’t help but sigh when they remembered how the previous lives of their citizens was. Because of this, they all immediately sent the knight’s leader get all the information they had recorded on each of the dungeon’s in their respective kingdom.
“Thank you for helping me and this dungeon by getting the information.”
Jin expressed his attitude. While he didn’t like any of them, he couldn’t help but express his thanks since maybe he would need to get more information from them in the future.
“Please come this way.”
Jin brought them to the mansion where he had prepared a few bags of ingredients for the four kings. He had seen how they liked the food the vampires had prepared. While it was true that the skills of the cook were responsible of the food, the ingredients also played an important part. So, as thanks, he had the core produce the ingredients for him and gave them to the kings.
Of course, while it was only a small gift, they were elated because they believed that their relations with the dungeon’s master had improved.
As for the leader’s of the knights from the kingdom of water, he secretly glanced at Venus all diner long. While he believed to be discret, everyone had seen him including Venus. While he wished that something would happen with her eventually, there wouldn’t be anything unless Jin told her to do so.
And on Jin’s part? He wouldn’t bother himself with it as he preferred Venus to find love on her own.
An hour later, the knight’s came back with every informations they had on the dungeons, gave them to Jin and they left soon afterwards. Some of them wanted to make a few deals with him but for the moment they knew that he had a lot to work on so they let him off for a day and went back to their people on the first floor.
