The Dungeon Of Pandemonium - Volume 1 Chapter 43 War1
The war mode in the dungeons was that at the moment the portal opened, monsters could enter the portal to enter the other dungeon. It meant that in this kind of battle, one had to send troops to attack and keep some to defend the dungeon.
As such, when the portal opened in both dungeon, the first thing Jin did was wait. He didn’t want to sacrifice his troops for nothing. As such, he planned to first receive the first wave of monsters of the enemy before sending his own.
And of course, the dungeon master of the other dungeon sent some winged troops over. They first entered the second floor when they met the skeletons.
To begin with, skeletons were quite weak. But after receiving the information about the kind of monsters he was going to face, he had armed all of his monsters with bows. This was one of the way he had planned on taking down the enemy. He didn’t mind losing a lot of those monsters as they didn’t cost much. Anyway, with the a portion of the elite troops in defence, they would be killed really fast.
But of course, he didn’t want them to enter the dungeon really far. As such, after the first wave went by, the attack group of the elite troops immediately went through the portal.
On the other side of the portal was like seeing a new world. Upon traversing the portal, the first thing one could see was the high ceiling of the room with holes in the ground as traps.
The elites that entered the other side were mostly made of dark elves and harpies with Lilliana, Iris, Kaiya and Mika leading them.
All together, the team was extremely powerful and the dungeon master who had looked down on the new dungeon master was going to regret soon enough.
At the moment they entered the floor, there wasn’t any noise and neither was there any monsters. As such, they all made their way towards the other side of the cavern were a passage could bring one further in the dungeon.
With the harpies flying, Lilliana bringing Iris and Mika while the dark elves were extremely fast and nimble on their feet, they rushed inside the dungeon.
After much information on the dungeon, he had learnt that it didn’t use any traps and only the holes in the ground were dangerous apart from the monsters. Also, the dungeon master in his great naivety, had made the dungeon in a single line. As such, one had to only follow the rooms and one would find the next floor right afterwards.
Jin hadn’t understood why there was only three floors in the dungeon if there was quite a lot of people who entered the dungeon in the past. He had learnt the error the dungeon master had made when building the dungeon.
The dungeon master had actually summoned a high numbers of weak monsters while he had to also give the food necessary for all those monsters, they were easily killed and he had to replenish the numbers as well. Because of this, the cost of operating the dungeon was extremely high making it impossible to develop it properly. However, he still did not understand why he made the dungeon in a straight line bringing the enemy to the core room this way. That was kind of stupid in his eyes.
The elite group made their way through the first three rooms on the first floor and didn’t see any monsters. They were probably grouped together to give a harder time on the elite group.
And at the fourth room, they saw a gigantic number of monsters. A lot of Rocs were flying in the sky and were ready to attack them. Some others were perched on a rock and others just didn’t mind this and were in a position that made Jin think that the monster was sleeping.
While in the dungeon war, Jin had naturally stayed on the house floor with the dungeon core and an elite team for protection. But thanks to the core, he could see all across the dungeon and the rooms they had already went to. As such, he was able to keep a track on the situation in real time.
The harpies immediately started to attack with their high speed on the rocs flying in the air while the dark elves started by killing those on the floor. As for Lilliana she was already breathing fire in the room killing a large number of enemy monsters in one hit.
Seeing the number of monster dying and the easy time his own troops had, it was easy to see that the other dungeon master compared to Jin taught that quantity was better than quality. And in this battle, it was easy to see that the bird dungeon master was wrong.
They made their way a little bit at the time and fought with any monsters they met.
Back in the dungeon of pandemonium, the attacker troops of the dungeon 17 were almost all already killed. They had managed to make their way to the third floor before they were all eliminated by the troops that were hidden across the dungeon.
Soon enough, Jin’s dungeon was completely cleaned of the invading monsters and his owns were guarding the portal pretty tightly. With one side finished, Jin sent his attention on his attacker troops who had once again just finished to kill a large group of rocs which were much too weak.
And finally, they arrived at the stairs leading to the second floor of the dungeon. Since it had not been explored yet, all his map was black and he couldn’t help but wish he could sent troops in reconnaissance in the future.
While thinking about this situation, the elite troops once again met some rocs while they were mixed with a small amount of wyvern. Because of the presence of a new type of flying creature, the fight became a little harder but they still didn’t put it in their mind as their training was extremely harder than this.
They looked at the monsters in front of them and with a look of disgust they once again attacked. They couldn’t help but want to go back to their territory on the training floor which had become their home.
