Chapter 16: Its hard to recite magic incantation without messing it up.

Good morning.

I was able to sleep soundly yesterday.
The inside of my head is strangely clear.
I was crammed with all sort of knowledge but I don’t feel any headaches or fatigue at all.
Dragons sure are amazing.
I grew again in my sleep.
My body keeps getting bigger.
This might be the side effect of absorbing too much knowledge.
From whats written about earth dragon, it will turn anything that it ingests as its own power.
Its a species that will keep growing as it eats more and more.
I guess my body grows to sustain the large amount of knowledge that Ive acquired.

When I got up, somehow, the lithographs I use for futon were crumbling into pieces.
Did I crush it when I was tossing and turning in sleep?
Oh well. Its already inside of my head.
Everythings fine.
Thats right, should I eat decently?
But that would be kind of a waste.

A fantasy product that I thought exists only in television, games, and manga during my past life.

After all, I only knew about monsters and dungeon recently.

First of all, the fundamentals.
The magic fundamentals of this world consist of four elements.
The four major elements are fire, water, earth and wind.

Just like how monsters are divided into cla.s.ses, magic strength also has its own ranking system.
It seems that its divided into eight cla.s.ses with lower-cla.s.s being the rudiment of magic. As it goes up, it becomes more powerful and harder to control.
Ranks of the magic in order of lowest to highest are lower-cla.s.s, intermediate-cla.s.s, advanced-cla.s.s, General-cla.s.s, King-cla.s.s, Pope-cla.s.s, Saint-cla.s.s, Soul King-cla.s.s.
Its the same as the monster until halfway through that is.
Generally, the eight rank Soul King-cla.s.s is the highest rank..
However, according to this lithograph, theres actually one more.
Its written that the ninth rank is theG.o.d-cla.s.s.
This is the upper limit of the original magic.
But the word had fallen into disuse since it cannot be handled at all.

Well, theres nothing to be worry of the special case.

It seems that only the first hero and the demon king can utilize all elements.
Not only that, the demon king can also use Soul King-cla.s.s magic.

Although orc does share the same physical characteristic as the human except for the pig-like head, its cla.s.sified as a monster.
I wonder what part of it makes it different.Is it because Im lacking the knowledge?
I dont understand.

Well, lets not think too deeply about it.
Since its also written how to use and invoke magic, lets practice them later.
Incidentally, according to the monster picture book (about me), it seems that I can use the earth element magic as an earth dragon.
