Weeks had passed since the day that Rose decided to stay at the side of the one who saved her life. Her feelings were still all over the place not knowing how she really felt inside. She didn’t know how she saw Jax any normal woman would have fallen for his charms with ease. But she herself was no ordinary woman. She was one who stood on top of many people. The lower realms were not even in her eyes back then. Yet the feeling that she got when looking at him was special.

Rose couldn’t decide if it was just friendly or if there was some sort of love in her gaze. Thus she decided to ask Jax a question that shocked his whole world. The two could be seen standing on a mountain far away from any civilization. The calm wind passing through the long red hair of Rose while her red eyes stared towards the man before her. Jax looked at her and was captivated by the sight he had to admit that the woman that stood before him was the most beautiful he had ever seen.

Silence was there for a couple of seconds before Rose asked him a question that would shock him.

“Do you love me” was what came out the woman’s mouth before him. Shock was all that Jax felt did he love her? He didn’t know what he felt towards her. Maybe even the God of Love would not have an answer to what love is” Jax said while thinking back to the lonely figure of Cupid he had seen back then. Jax looked over at Rose once more who was seemingly shaken by his answer. “Rose I don’t know if I love you. My feelings for you are complicated and I want time. Time to think about my feelings to get to know you better. My love is maybe different from yours, but I can say one thing for certain.”

Jax looked at Rose with care if he was honest he had the feeling that the things he felt for her were past that of friendship. “I want you at my side. If that turns out into love, we would see. But for now, stay at my side and get to know me better.” A little laugh was heard from Jax while he showed his smile. “After all Rose im quite complicated.”

Rose looked at the man before her if she would be honest; she felt the same. The feeling of love was flickering lightly. She wanted to see where this would lead. Satisfied with his answer, she smiled while she told Jax, “I will stay by you then.”

Love wasn’t something that could be developed in a couple of meager days or even weeks. They had to know each other in and out they had to be open towards each other.

A partner may be the thing that Humans Gods and Demons all valued more than anything. Love was different for every race yet most valued it. Jax wished for a partner at his side, but he didn’t want to rush anything. He wanted to know who the woman was before starting any type of intimate relationship with her. But right now it was time for him to reveal everything to her. Of how he was reborn his past life and also who he is now. Not the identity that she knows as Jax, son of the demon prince. No, it was time for her to learn of his other identity. The successor to the God of Love, Cupid.

Fear was the feeling that Jax was experiencing. He knew that he had to tell her, but he was scared that she would deny him. And thus he looked at Rose, and his story began. He told her everything from his past life from how he was born without family. How he saw his brother die how he rose to the top. How his past lover betrayed him. How he died, and finally his story began when he was reincarnated.

To how he gained a system how his first few years were he lived. How he bought her from the shop and finally how he met him. The God of Love, Cupid and how he was destined to become his successor. How he was chosen by the Universe Creator. And at last, the goal he had set for himself to surpass the Universe Creator himself. Shock was seen in the expression of Rose and Jax knew why. After all, it was a lot to take in. The one who revived her turned out to have bought her from a store? She who stood above the lower realms was actually purchased.

Rose herself didn’t know how she felt about this, but one thing she knew was that it didn’t matter. The life story of Jax made her sad who would have known that the one before her would have suffered like that. She knew that he was a reincarnated person but who knew it was like this. Him being the successor of Cupid was maybe the most shocking thing, but at the moment she didn’t care about that.

“Of course I don’t hate you,” she said in a voice where it was clear that she just cried. The both smiled feeling that they got a little bit closer once more. Sadly the peaceful and happy sight was ended when Jax suddenly grabbed his stomach and fell to one knee.

He felt it a familiar feeling it was as if something in his body screamed ‘ITS HERE’ Jax gazed at the direction he felt it. While Rose got next to him with a worried face asking what was happening. Jax just kept looking in the direction that he felt the connection while he spoke, “so you are here” a sharp gaze was suddenly on his face.

“The Ten Commandments” a battle-crazed smile replaced the sharp gaze and battle intent was leaking out of Jax’s body.

In the place where the commandments woke up from their seal, one man, in particular, was feeling a lot of shock. A not too tall man with black hair while he looked identical to his brother Meliodas. a whisper could be heard from his mouth.
