The Elemental Lovers [Completed] - zzzChapter 29
I was praying and praying until I heard the thunderstorm was crackling. I did not know what to do but to stay in the cave. I was looking at the entrance before I saw a lump of something on the ground as the storm was getting stronger by second.
I shrieked before I saw the lump was not moving near the storm. I have to get to the body to save it before the storm can do any damage. I was moving my seat and I was walking toward the body as I saw who it was.
Dylan Windell.
My heart skipped a beat as I took his hands and I was dragging him on the ground. I gritted my teeth as he was too heavy. I don’t think that a lean person should be this heavy!
I was pulling him into the cave as his body was dragged across the ground. I think Dylan will be hurt when he woke up later.
Not that I can help it, I was not a strong woman to drag him across my shoulders!
I was sighing before we were closing in the cave before I was putting him on the ground that I was sitting earlier. I was looking at him as if he was a dumb person before Dylan groaned. I sighed as I know that Windell was not dead.
“Where are we?” He asked before he settled his stormy eyes on me. I was smiling at him before he was hugging me.
“Oh my God! You’re okay! I thought I lose you, Daisy,” he whispered as his hands were shaking when he was hugging me. I cannot help but I was taken back by his affection right now. And I have been dying to be in this embrace again. I was about to hug him back before Dylan let me go.
“Are you hurt? Are you okay?” He asked me as I was nodding at him. He sighed a relief as I never thought that Dylan was worried about me.
Huh.
I was looking at him as he was rubbing his face with his hands. He was thinner, much more solemn than the last time I saw him.
Before that night.
My cheeks burned when I remembered the details of that night. He stated that he would love to keep me but I doubted it. Dylan Windell did not do anything that will make sure he tied the knot. No, he was more of a casual type of guy. I sighed inwardly before Dylan was focusing on me.
“Daisy, before anything, I have to say something to you,” he said before the thunder was crackling again. It was much closer than before. I was looking at Dylan before he pulled a box from his pocket.
A red box.
My heart beats as I don’t think that he would carry that when he was coming to get me. I did not believe it as I was refusing it right now. But the words that came out of him was all the confirmation that I needed from him.
“Daisy, I know that I have been a complete idiot but I wanted to let you know that before I left this world…”
“Left? What do you mean left?” I asked him but Dylan was ignoring my question.
“I want you to be my wife. Will you do the honor of having me as your lawfully wedded husband?” He asked me as he was opening the box. It was a princess cut diamond on top of the white gold band. I was gasping at it before Dylan was pulling my left hand.
“What do you mean—” I did not finish my sentence as I was being kissed by this magnetic man named Dylan Windell.
My fiancé, my husband to be.
I was too mesmerized to think of anything else as I was drawn to him. I was kissing him as well when he groaned before I was wounding my hands around his neck and pulled him closer. Dylan angled his neck as he deepened the kiss before I was gasping.
He plunged his tongue inside me as I was sucking on it. He tasted like that night, honeysuckle. I was happy to kiss him again even when we were in a dire situation right now.
“God, I need you, like now,” Dylan said as he was roaming my body. I was pushing my head back as he was kissing my throat. I did not think that I would be this wanton but I was. I was gasping for air before he was sucking on the sweet spot of my shoulder and neck. I gripped his hair even more.
“I will always love you, Daisy. And I am sorry for accusing your father killed my father. I know the truth now and I will remember it forever,” he said as I was focused on his touches. I don’t care about our parents. This was our moment and I don’t think I wanted anything from the past would come between us.
“I want you, Dylan. Not your parents. I just need you and you complete me,” I said as I was looking at his stormy orbs. He smiled sadly before he was kissing me again as I felt his emotion in that kiss. It was tender and sweet.
I was gripping his nape before he broke the kiss. He sighed.
“I think it’s time now,” he said before he was looking at the entrance. I followed his sight before I was being pushed away from him as Dylan was starting to run toward the storm.
“Dylan, no!” I said as I saw him was being carried by the storm and he was out of my sight. Time slowed before I was pushing myself from the ground. I was running after him and I followed him as well, into the storm.
Dylan Windell’s POVI did what I must and right now, I was being carried by the storm. I did not know that I was being followed before I looked back at the cave and Daisy was coming after me. I wanted to stop her but the storm did not allow me to. I was shouting at her before she was carried into the storm like me.
“No!” I shouted before I was looking at the storm. They were swirling heavily before I was talking to the element in my mind.
‘You promised she will not be harmed when I was to be sacrificed,’ I said as I was being caressed by the storm.
‘But with this stunt, it would be more delicious to watch you save who you wanted the most, your love or your life,’ it stated.
‘Of course my love! Now let her go and let’s get this over with,’
‘So eager to die, eh?’ The storm crackled before I was looking at Daisy. She was being swirled around before I was gritting my teeth.
‘Fuck this,’ I said as I was going toward her. She was shouting before I felt my eyes were glowing and the element was in my control. I was wrapping the storm around Daisy so that she will be stilled and I was coming for her.
She was afraid, I can feel it in my chest before I was floating in front of her. She was looking at me before I let the storm show my face. I can see that she was shocked to see me in my element. The secret that I have been keeping from everyone.
“Dylan?” She shouted but I did hear her. She was reaching out for me as I was shaking my head.
“I can’t go back now, Daisy. You have to leave and move on. You will die if you stay here,” I said before Daisy was shaking her head at me.
“No, we came together, so we’re going back together,” she said before the storm was speaking to me.
‘It’s time,’ it stated before I was retreating from her. She was sobbing now as the rain was coming onto us. But I can see that she was saying the words that I have been waiting for my whole life, the one that completes me. And it was Daisy.
“I love you!” She shouted before the storm crackled. I was closing my eyes before I was crying. For the first time in my life, I was crying for someone that will be gone as I was making amends for my mistake.
“And I love you too, Daisy Dyer, my love,” I said before I was looking at the storm and I was surrendering myself.
I only wished I have more time to show her how much I loved her.
