The Emperor Of The Seas - Chapter 4 Orphanage

5 years later,

On what seemed to be an island at the end of the world stood a young boy with sharp facial features staring at the ocean of stars in the night. He had long black straight hair that reached his back and pure black eyes. His eyes seemed to be reflecting a universe with light purple dots on his irises. He wore a plain white shirt with black pants. He was void who was now 5 years old. He was around 3.5 and had a thin body frame which seemed to perfectly portray the word weak and was often bullied by the bigger kids in the orphanage. The only times he felt calm or happy was either when like now he is gazing the stars or when he is with his only friend Monkey D Wolf.

While void is looking at the sky he heard a voice coming from a little far away calling him, ‘void i knew you would be here.’

Turning around he saw a tall kid of about 3.9 feet in height who had a muscular body, with a rugged face with pure white hair and blue eyes, wearing a dog fur coat and brown pants and had a 5 foot spear on the back of his body running towards him.

Seeing the 5 year old boy who looked more like a 7 year old a smile appeared on void’s face. He was his best and only friend Monkey D. Wolf.

Seeing wolf running towards him void said, ‘Wolfy finally back from the hunting trip I see.’

Wolf replied reaching him, ‘Yeah and I have loads to tell you, firstly we met the mountain bandits and now I have decent control over my devil fruit powers.’

Thinking of this he remembered the time when Wolf’s uncle Dragon had come to visit giving wolf the mythical zoan fruit the dire wolf fruit saying, ‘I can’t think of a better devil fruit for you.’ and said, ‘Uncle dragon would be proud.’ To which Wolf nodded happily.

After the long stories about his trip Wolf asked Void, ‘By the way, why do you have those bruises on you face don’ tell me. Just why do you let those b*****ards Tommy and Dick get to you? Why not show them your true power and show them you are not to be messed with.’

Void smiled and answered, ‘Wolfy if I do that what is the difference between us. Like I told you before power is meant to be used to protect someone dear to you and not to bully the weak.’

To which Wolfy exclaimed,’But..but….’ but upon seeing the look on on Void’s face which was now stern he didn’t continue.

Void replied, ‘Remember Wolfy in this orphanage all of us are family, we are all those who have been discarded by the world, if I who have the strength use it on family then what example will it set for all the young ones including Mira.’

Mira was a 3 year old girl with auburn hair and green eyes. She had a cheerful personality and was the apple in the eyes of Void and Wolfy who considered her to be their own liitle sister. Thinking about the little girl running around him Screaming big brother big brother Wolfy’s anger subsided. He remembered the first time Void showed his power to him

They were in the village nearby with Mira when the drunk lowly pirates banged into Mira and started cursing her to look where she is going. Void tried to get out of this this situation and apologised for her sake.

But then the pirate made the mistake that lost them their lives. They kicked Wolfy who was trying to appease the then crying Mira and started to lunge towards Mira with a knife.

That scene triggered something within Void suddenly the surroundings went all black, the wind seemed to have stopped and then Void started floating in the air with long black hair flying behind him even though there was no wind, his eyes turning completely black and strange black tattoos appeared on his arms and in a deep voice he said, ‘There is no forgiveness for those who even think about hurting my family and you lowly scum harmed one and tried to kill the other. There is no place for those like you to exist in this world anymore.’

With that the proud pirates and even Mira and Wolfy who was about to turn and attack them, felt fear like they had never felt before this was including Wolf who had met his Uncle Monkey D. Dragon, said to be the worst criminal in history.

Within the time they could do anything an invisible force transported Wolfy and Mira behind Void and a Black ball which seemed to be made of glass appeared behind the pirates. The black ball then started to pull all the pirates towards it who had no way of resisting the pressure and were burnt to ash and then nothing as they kept on coming nearer to the black ball. (Imagine power of Pain’s Bansho ten’in with Amaterasu effect at the end.)

Seeing the seen before his eyes Wolfy was stunned and Mira closed her eyes not wanting to witness this brutality.

The moment all the pirates were burnt to nothing Void and the other 2 disappeared from the village and appeared in the woods near to the orphanage. Upon reaching there Void suddenly said, ‘thank God nothing happened to the 2 of you.’ and lost his consciousness only to awaken after 2 days. Ever since then Void could use these powers of the black ball to some extent all though not to that extent. he could

That memory gave Wolfy the chills and realised with the amount of practice Void has been doing to control this power of his he would have no problem to annihilate the entire orphanage if not at least half of the island.

While this was happening they both heard a bang noise and saw a huge fire in the direction of the orphanage and starting running towards it with fear lingering in their minds. As they we running Wolfy turned into a white direwolf and Void jumped on his back to get there as soon as possible.
