The Empress’ Revenge - Chapter 22 The Emperor Of The Kai Empire

That night, Yun Xi has caught a lot of attention from the different men, trying to seduce her. Wu Qie was irritated by being deceived by this child. He went to his room without eating a proper dinner. Yifan, Ju-Long and Yun Xi ate dinner but not as peaceful as they expected.

“Xiao Xi is indeed a beauty,” Yifan spoke like he is the father of Yun Xi.

Yun Xi chuckles as she pats Ju-Long’s head (Still in his mini-dragon form.) “but I am also handsome as a male.”

“True but Xiao Xi is better off to be female. Lots of women would be broken by you.” Yifan pats Yun Xi’s head like a puppy and decided to rest in his room. “I’ll be going now. Still not going to rest?” Yifan took Ju-Long who is sleeping on Yun Xi’s lap.

“The night is still young. This young lady will stroll around to digest what this lady has eaten.”

Yifan laughs at Yun Xi because of the way she addresses herself. “Fine then! This lord shall take his rest and expects that Xiao Xi would do the same.”

Yun Xi and Yifan parted and went to their separate ways. Yun Xi went to the garden. She was shocked when Wu Qie mentioned that he has a garden her in his Inn and they would use it as their training ground. She wanted to see the garden with her own eyes but was even more shock of who she saw.

Yun Xi’s eyebrows met and she clenched her fist in anger. She gritted clenched her jaw as she looks at the person in front of her. “Zheng Qi!” She whispers. Zheng Qi, her husband in her past. The Emperor of Kai! What was he doing here?

Zheng Qi was admiring the garden but when a beautiful young lady appears, he ended up admiring her than the flowers. It was as if a fairy has appeared. He clears his throat and made his way towards her. “Hello, beautiful miss? What does this young lady want here in the garden in the night?” He asked politely.

Yun Xi calms her temper. She must not engage in attacking Zheng Qi this early. She needs to train, conquer the Kai empire and capture this man. “This young lady wanted to admire the stars but this lady did not expect that a lord would be here.” She turned her back on him. “Apologies for the disturbance, this young lady will take her leave.”

Zheng Qi grabs her wrists to stop her from leaving. “Can this lord know the name of the beautiful miss?” He asked.

Yun Xi coldly stared at him. Her hands are trembling and she wanted to get away from him as soon as possible. “Let go! Man and woman should not interact this way.”

Zheng Qi did let go of her but kept on insisting to know her name. “This Lord just wanted to know your name.”

“Who are you to know this young lady’s name!?” Yun Xi runs away as fast as she can after she told him that. She slammed her door as soon as she enters her room. Yun Xi sat on the floor and hugs her knees. “Wait for it, Zheng Qi! I will become strong and kill you with my own hands.”

Yun Xi didn’t sleep well after the night. Even though she is tired, she met with Wu Qie who is in his female form, Yifan, and Ju-Long at the garden. She gave her greetings to her elders.

Wu Qie noticed her big bugs under her eyes. She raised a brow. “Xiao Xi, What did you do last night that you didn’t have proper sleep?”

Yun Xi clenched her hand into a fist. Her eyes are filled with anger and gritted her teeth. She took a deep breath and told herself to calm down. “Master Qie, Yun Xi is not able to tell the master of what has happened last night. Yun Xi promises to tell Master Qie and Lord Yifan about last night in the future.”

Wu Qie clears her throat and looked at the young lad. Minutes ago, Yun Xi seemed to be frustrated or angry but as what Yun Xi said, She will tell it to her in the future. “Yun Xi, starting now, This Master is expecting you to be an excellent disciple since you have obtained the power stone from the Dragon King and made him your contracted beast. You who befriend with the ghost emperor that kills strangers who attempted to help him and capture my attention.”

Yun Xi bows. “Yun Xi will not disappoint Master! Yun Xi will do her best!”
