After Principal Frosten finished his speech, everyone was quickly assigned to their battle opponent. The battles are placed in a hierarchy system with the Royal at the top and the nobles arranged based on their family titles.

This makes it incredibly hard for the nobles at bottom rank to win, it doesn’t matter if an low rank noble is more powerful than a royal, if they get exhausted at the start then they would surely lose.

Not only will this uphold the image of the Royal being unbeatable but it would even improve it’s reputation. Since everyone will think that the person who is unstoppable was easily defeated by a royal.

So me being the son of an Earl will be at the very bottom, since nobles beneath Earl is unable to enrol to this school.

During the battles, despite keeping my power in check and set to the lowest as possible, all of the nobles were easily defeated in one or two moves. I guess it can’t be help since most of their levels are only level 1, they are likely to be spoiled since birth and never even seen a living beast.

“Who was this boy again? Caine, was it? Just how powerful is he?”

“That’s right, he just won 6 rounds within just one or two moves!”

“How can just prodigy come from an Earl?”

The other students began to chat among themselves.

I inwardly sighed, well I did tried to make the battle longer but all of them were exhausted after just one move.

Just like that I quickly made it to the top, my final opponent is Prince Flynn, who is supposed to be my step-brother.

“Even the duke’s son was unable to stop him, do you think Prince Flynn could defeat him?”

“Of course, he is a royal after all. ”

Prince Flynn is recognised as the first prince of this empire, his mother is one of the many concubines of the emperor.

He should be just three months younger than me.

“Prince Flynn. I was impressed by your skills that you have shown in the battle, I hope we can have a fair duel next time.” Prince Flynn introduced himself with a slight bow.

I frowned, it was truly surprising who him to admit that this was an unfair fight.

It would be rude to not bow down when other was of higher status, especially an Royal. So I did the same. “Caine Von Rustichel. It’s an honour to meet your highness, but I don’t think there is a need for next time.”

That’s right, I’m not planing to lose the battle. Even though I have reincarnated as a human, I still have my pride as an ancient dragon, how can I intentionally lose?

Prince Flynn frowned with an ‘not understanding what you meant’ expression, but I have no plan to explain it, I immediately held out the blunt wooden sword with both of my hands, causing the other one to do the same.

Seeing that I didn’t move from my position, Prince Flynn instantly moved forward, causing the distance to between us to close in with a blink of an eye.

Prince Flynn kept swinging his sword at me, while I casually blocked them all without failure. Thou I have to admit that he is much more stronger than the others that I have previously fought.

I never expected this at all, I thought that he would have been more spoiled and sheltered than any of the others, but contrary to my expectation, he seems to have practice a lot. His strength is a bit weak but his skills are well polished.

“You truly are surprising.” Prince Flynn stop his attacks and retreated several metres away from me then said, “However, the real battle had just began.”

Prince Flynn held one of his hand out and aimed towards me, “O Flames, incinerate those who stands ‘gainst thee! Fire Blast!”

A palm-size fireball immediately conjures and fired towards my chest, threatening to burn everything that stands in its way.

I casually held out my hand towards the direction of the flame and a two metres dirt wall momentarily erected out of the ground, dispersing the fireball.

*** Narrator’s PV:

“C-Chantless spells, that boy is actually able to do spells without chant!”

“Isn’t he the same age as us?!”

“With his talent, he will no doubt become an Royal Court Magician in the future!”

The crowd burst out in shock and looked towards at Caine in awe while the battle between the two continued.

It was no longer battle of skills but an battle of who has the most mana. Prince Lynn continiously conjured fireball towards Caine, while dirt walls continued to erect out of the ground, dispersing the flame without failure.

With that the fate of the battle had already been decided before it even ended.

Prince Lynn who finally ran out of mana, fell to his knees, with his hand stretched to support his body.

His mouth shock as he tried to say something.

“I lost.” As soon as he uttered the two words, his entire body fell flat on the ground with a thump!
