Two months passed by.

Father was walking to and fro with a stiff expression on his face. Although he know that Charlotte is a strong woman and nothing will happen to her, but the continuous painful cry couldn’t help but make him worry.

I was even more worried, I have never seemed how human give birth before, in fact I have never seen any specie giving birth in my past life. Curse my lazy existence!

Another couple of minutes passed by and soon the cry of a baby could be heard.

“It’s a girl” Charlotte said softly with a smile on her face.

She suddenly looked at me and said, “Caine, you’re a big brother now”

“B-Big Brother?” I shifted my gaze toward the baby.

As if she understood what we just said, the baby blinked then smiled at me.

“Her name is Raine” Charlotte smiled.

I looked at Father in front of me who was practicing Swordsmanship intently.

Hearing that, Father momentarily stopped and slide his sword back into his sheath, before walking towards me while wiping the droplets of sweat off his forehead.

With determination in my eyes, I confidently asked, “Father, I want to learn swordsmanship!”

Father momentarily blanked out after hearing that, silent quickly befell the entire training ground.

What is it? Is he not going to allow me?

Right According to the measuring orb, I don’t have any talents in any field.

No! I can not give up like this. I must learn how to use the sword in order to protect my family!

Father finally sighed then said, “Alright, from now on I will teach you swordsmanship ever afternoon.”

“Y-Yes!” I quickly became ecstatic, I thought Father was going to disapprove of it.

“Here, take this wooden sword.” Saying that, Father took tossed a wooden sword to me and took one for himself.

“Alright, attack me with all you got!” Father shouted while taking in a battle stance.

I momentarily copied his battle stance.

Okay, if it comes to raw power, I have confidence in controlling it’s output. Since in my past life, I needed to be very careful not to accidently kill the humans.

Plus, I have secretly practiced with large boulders that was found in the family field and had gotten used to controlling this human body of mine.

Alright then, I just need to lower my power and agility, and then

I immediately shot towards Father with incredible speed, with my wooden sword drawn, I aimed for the metal part on Father’s chest.

Just as I thought I was going to win; I immediately felt a wooden sword tapping my shoulder.

“Alright, this should be all for today.”

While crossing his arm, Father said, “Caine, your strength and agility are incredible but your ability to decipher your opponent’s attacks is lacking.”

“Remember to come to the training field each afternoon, from now on I will teach you more techniques for combat.”

“Yes, Father!”

If I think about it, this was the first battle that I ever lost. Even in my past life, I am always the winner, well I do some time run away since the outcome is always the same and it was bothersome.

Inside the Earl’s Office.

The Earl was busy signing all of the paper works that have been stacked like a mountain, while Charlotte was sitting on a sofa caressing the baby to sleep.

The Earl suddenly sighed.

Charlotte chuckled, “It seems that me being gone for these past months have caused a mountain of works to be stacked up.”

The Earl couldn’t help but sighed again, “Even if you were here, the workload would have still been a lot, it seems recently the quantity of the crops is decreasing, and the quality is poor.”

Charlotte reluctantly nodded, she used to be in charge with some of the territorial management so she knew how bad the situation is, but it can’t be help, the crops are just getting worse and worse as time goes by.

If this continues on, then by the next couple of years, crops production will really be completely halted.

“Oh right, today I taught swordsmanship to Caine.”

“Dear, I thought we talked about this. Even thou Caine will inherit this household; you can’t force too much upon him.”

The Earl shocked his head and said, “I didn’t force him, he asked me to teach him.”

“He did?” Charlotte asked with a look of surprise.

“How was it?”

The Earl suddenly became silent then clasped his hand and held it against his chin. “It was weird.”

“Weird?” Charlotte became confused.

“Mhm, he has incredible strength and agility, if it wasn’t because he was lacking in combat techniques and the ability to decipher his opponent’s attack then I would have actually thought I was with fighting an experienced veteran.”

Normally Charlotte would be very impressed and proud for Caine, but the atmosphere felt tense and the way her husband said it indicated otherwise.

“Dear, what are you trying to say?” Charlotte asked with a solemn expression.

“Don’t you feel like our encounter with Caine four years ago was bit too weird?” The Earl asked a question in response.

Charlotte bit her bottom lip and said, “Dear, what are you implying?”

“He could be the descendance of a demon.” The Earl replied with a serious tone.

“No! Caine is just a normal child; he is not something like that!”

“Shh!” The Earl suddenly put a finger on his lip, then looked towards Raine who eyes blinked as if she just waked up.

Seeing that the Earl sighed, the Earl stood up and sat beside Charlotte to console her, “Don’t worry it was just a thought, if Caine really was a child of a demon then by logic he would have at least had some physical characteristic of it.”

Charlotte pouted and said with a serious tone, “Dear, you cannot joke like this. No matter what, Caine is our child.”

The Earl Chuckled, “Ha-ha, Yes yes, I’m sorry.”

As this was happening, Raine who was leaning against Charlotte’s chest suddenly whispered, “Brthwr?”
