The Evolving Supreme Gene - Chapter 2

The moment he clicked on the button that said a new view appeared before him. Before him, appeared new options for him to select. The only option that appeared before him an image of DNA appeared and on top of that image text floated above .

The youth clicked on this image and another view opened up to him. In this view on the top right, he saw his which displayed number zero. In the middle there were multiple choices, these choices were displayed as images. There were five choices available for Zai Kuro. He could choose Strength, Agility, Endurance, Luck and Intelligence.

The youth extended his hand to click on one of those choices, but the moment he did a loud sound sounded and after the sound sounded in his brain he heard a voice, “Insufficient Gene Points.”

The youth that was only ten was alarmed by a sudden voice in his head. The youth even jumped in shock he received. He looked around and seeing no one just sighed and frowned. With no other choice, he returned back to the main window, where his character stats were displayed before him once more,

The youth clicked on . When he did, he was met with a new view. In this view, he only saw nothing. There was an only button. With nothing in here, Zai Kuro once again returned to the main window and once again the character information was displayed before him.

With nothing more to do in this space Zai Kuro clicked the only button that made sense, The moment he clicked it, he saw the book before him. And like before the text was now replaced by square boxes. He couldn’t even try learning the language now.

The youth disheartened got up from his table and staggered to the bed collapsing on it. He on the bed just closed his eyes and entered sleep. This night he had a strange dream. In this dream, he saw a man’s face. That face didn’t belong to his father rather it belonged to the person that had the same skin, the same hair as Zai Kuro. He heard the man’s words that he spoke. He heard, “Live well my son. I don’t know where you will end up, but I at least hope in that new place, you will find a home for yourself. It is a shame that you will never know your roots. But that doesn’t matter at all. As long as you can live freely and not in fear. It is more than enough for me. I love you, my son!” When he heard the last of the words he snapped awake.

The youth jumped awake, he was poured with cold sweat. The youth extended his hand and questioned, “What was that? Who was that man? Why did he call me his son?” The youth shook his head and mumbled, “My parents are Zai Drao and Tchi Ya, and no one else.” The child nodded his head with resoluteness. The youth was still tired from jumping awake, he once again closed his eyes and he once again entered deep sleep.

When the youth opened his eyes, the youth saw a person standing by his bed. The youth smiled, “Good morning, mom” She smiled and returned the greeting, “Good morning, Kuro’er”

“Why are you in my room, mom?”

She scratched her cheek, “Well I came to wake you up. But you had such a cute face when you slept, so I just watched you sleep,” She laughed lightly.

The boy smiled sweetly and laughed a little. The mother and son laughed together before stopping in another breath of time. She looked at him and spoke, “Come, let’s eat breakfast.” The boy nodded his head in affirmation, he followed his mother who left his room. The youth came to the table and sat down. The father looked at the boy who sat at the table. He frowned and spoke, “Go wash yourself.”

Zai Kuro looked at his father and nodded his head, he jumped off the chair and went to the bathroom. In the bathroom, he cleaned his face and once again return to the dining room. He once again sat at the table. When he did the table was already set up and they all started eating the food together.

In another breath of time, the man of the house Zai Drao finished his mean and left for work. The moment he left. Tchi Ya smiled and spoke, “What shall we do today?”

The youth looked at his mother, but before he could speak another word. An explosion rang out, the door was destroyed as multiple men raided the room. The man that raided the room roared, “Catch that thing!”

One of the men that arrived rushed at the child and pushed him to the ground. From being tackled the youth screamed in pain. He couldn’t move an inch and he felt that he tried to move his arms and legs would be broken. The woman Tchi Ya saw this she bellowed, “What are you doing to my son?!”

The man that ordered the men looked coldly at the woman announced, “I am with the peacekeepers. We heard rumours that a strange thing lived in this house. This thing will be executed tomorrow, we are taking him with us.”

The woman was shocked to hear this she furrowed her brows, “He is not a thing, he is my son Zai Kuro. Don’t you dare harm him.”

“Mam, opposing the peacekeepers is punishable by death. If you want to keep your life, step away from the child.”

The woman shook her head, “I won’t let you take him.” The man frowned he extended his hand, and in it, a strange weapon appeared. The weapon was blue in colour and it had the appearance of the sword but was much wider and slightly thinner. The weapon was also fused with the man’s gauntlet. He with it pierced at the woman. “Then die, opposing the peacekeepers is punishable by death.”

The man with the weapon in his hand attacked the woman, the weapon went through the woman, she coughed out blood and disbelief could be seen in her eyes. With her last words, she spoke, “You murderers. One day everything will be paid back to you ten thousand fold. You monsters.” She had one more breath in her, with it she looked at the direction of her son and smiled as widely as she possibly could and spoke, “Please live.”

The youth that saw what happened, he bellowed, “Mother!”

“Knock him out, he is to be executed tomorrow,” The men nodded their heads. One of the men hit the youth on the head and he lost his consciousness. The peacekeepers left the house with the child in hands.

When the youth regained his conciseness he looked around, he saw that he was in a new place. He was now in a cell when he tried recalling what happened, he softly repeated, “Mom.”

His words were not heard by anyone, in the cell he was alone, he was all alone. He pulled his legs closer to him and he started weeping, “Mom, mom, mom”

He cried out for his mother again and again but nothing happened. He cried and cried but nothing happened. The child with his tears managed to put himself to sleep with his crying.

The boy opened his eyes suddenly, he did that as someone kicked him on the ground while he was sleeping. The man that kicked him, looked at the child coldly and spoke, “Let’s go, your execution is nigh!”

The child’s eyes popped open, he couldn’t believe what the man just say. He a child of ten years was now led to the execution grounds to be executed and he would be executed publicly. The public execution was about to commence.

The child now faced the crowd of people, the people looked at the child and child looked at the people his eyes teared up. He called one more time, “Mother!”

The executioner held one of the weapons that killed the child’s mother. He looked down at the neck of the youth and slashed his weapon at the youth. Before the blade could slice the child’s neck a sudden explosion rang out. The explosion made the people scream out in shock. With the screams of people, several people began to move. One of those people was the youth’s father Zai Drao.
