The Extra Will Now Leave The Stage - Chapter 35 – Stella’s Trick
Chapter 35 – Stella’s Trick
Translator: Lioness
Stella momentarily shuddered at him in contempt, but she smiled after. She was so fast that Karus was not conscious about it.
‘I dressed up prettily just for him. Is this a joke then?’
It was obvious that he wanted something from her, but everything changed since visiting the Marquis of Hamilton. She hid the poison in her brilliant smile and turned to him.
“Did you like Alice Hamilton that much?”
Karus’s attention was caught, raising his brows to her.
“It has nothing to do with Miss Alice.”
“Then, what happened? Didn’t you visit Alice Hamilton on the day you had an appointment with me?”
“Did you do a background check on me?”
She saw Karus’ displeased expression, but Stella couldn’t stop. She couldn’t admit that she, the main character of this world, had been pushed aside by some kind of extra in her only one scene.
‘I am the main character here! Are you ignoring me, the main character?’
Stella’s anger pierced the sky and it rang as if in response to her anger. God intervened in this world. Karus looked out her window at the sound of thunder coming from outside her.
‘It’s not even cloudy, but it’s thundering.’
He wondered, but that wasn’t the point. Karus wanted to run away from this stuffy place as soon as possible due to Stella’s obsession. It was quite unpleasant to meet her gaze.
“I shall go.”
“You will regret it if you go on like this.”
“What do you mean?”
Karus snorted at her and walked away. In her rage, she struck her table with her hand, and lightning flashed. Lightning flashed with a gurgling sound, and the shocked servants of the imperial palace shuddered.
“Is there anyone else out there?”
Immediately upon her call, her maid came running.
“D, did you call, Your Highness?”
“I have to go to the temple. Get ready.”
“I will prepare right away.”
‘If things don’t go my way, I have no choice but to borrow the power of God.’
Blood from her lips dropped as she bit on them. The red color flowing through her white face was frightening, so the ladies-in-waiting could not raise their heads.

At that moment, Alice was slamming her pillow. She was ashamed and couldn’t stand it. She couldn’t help but shudder at the sound, but she leaned against Lawrence like a child complaining. The tips of her ears burned red as she remembered the warmth she felt in his arms.
‘Oh, seriously!’
She was always defeated by that voice. She can’t always stand and win against it, rather, she couldn’t help but trample down. She thought about what she could do best to put her thoughts aside.
“It’s making money! Spending money! I am good at everything I do with money.”
Alice had enough money to buy an entire noble family, and with that money, she could buy many magical items. It was all in her magic pouch. How much money she had spent on things made by wizards she had never met?
That was the reason she had been whining to her marquis for her money. At first, she bought magic items that didn’t exist in the world she lived in, but she has now become a collector of magic items.
‘I am the biggest client when it comes to magic items.’
Now was the time for her to pull out the stash of her magical items. She needed to get the slop od paper containing the items her pouch had so she rummaged through it. This pouch could pull out anything she could think of.
“Wow, how many of these are there?”
Unfolding the paper, she came down to her knees. Among her many lists, Alice found what she needed.
‘This is good. A ring that blocks magic and divine power.’
It was the most expensive item she had ever bought. She bought it around the time she started to hear that creepy voice, but the voice didn’t stop entering her ears. Still, she bought it to see if it would help, but she never thought she’d need it.
“Well, I’d never know.”
Maybe the owner of the voice noticed that she’d fled to the Nakran Empire which was why it returned to hinder her path. The voice seemed to return to avenge so she needs a ring that blocks its magic and divine power.
Unbeknownst to Alyssa, the only time a god could use his powers was when the main and supporting characters were in close proximity. Otherwise, the god could not use his divine powers. He was the god of the Erha Empire, but all he could know was the stories of the characters who were prominent in the original story.
That was the reason why she couldn’t hear his voice when she was by Lawrence’s side.
Lawrence was a character from the original story, a character from another empire, or a character from the Nakran Empire, which had a different god as its main god. It was the same with Alice. She was the heir to the Nakran Empire, so unless she went out and met the main character, nothing happened.
It was an overreaction from the frightened Alice.
“Good! This and this too.”
She wore another ring that allowed her to use attack magic three times and an earring enchanted with protection. She had appeared funny, but it was all for the sake of her safety.
When she was about to leave the room and had finished all of her preparations, Lawrence opened and came in, only to be shocked seeing her,
“What are you that like?”
He moved closer to Alice, who was wearing mismatched jewels in her ears, so he curiously touched her ears.
“It’s a magic tool.”
“Uh? How did you know?”
“You don’t have to know.”
Lawrence, who uses magic and swordsmanship, noticed the magical power in her earrings. As he touched her earlobe, his hand touched her earring, and a weak magical energy flowed and collided with his.
“Not bad.”
“Is it okay? It was bought at a high price.”
Lawrence, who was touching her earlobe, didn’t care, and Alice smiled as if nothing had happened. Her smile was so bright that Lawrence laughed at her too. He didn’t seem to be in a good mood until a moment ago, but when he saw her smiling, she was just so adorable.
“Come to think of it, there are so many things like this, but I’ve been hiding them all this time. I will take them out and write them. You wouldn’t know what could happen, right?”
“That’s right.”
“Right?”
Lawrence enthusiastically agreed with Alyssa; her safety came first and foremost if it became known that she was a princess. Regardless of how the Marquis of Hamilton would turn answer him, Lawrence was determined to leave this afternoon after the court.
“I think we should go to the imperial palace.”
Alice opened her eyes wide. In response to the question in her eyes, Lawrence opened his mouth.
“This is what Karus came and told me earlier. He said the Crown prince wants to see you.”
“The Crown Prince?”
“He was curious about the relationship between us.”
“He does care about people’s business. Ah, he must have lots of time in his hands.”
“He doesn’t.”
Gail, the crown prince of the Erha Empire, was sitting there, but he didn’t do much. Karus was taking care of all the important things, so what was left was time. Even so, he called Lawrence, the Duke of the Nakran Empire, to confirm the rumors about him floating in the social world.
‘Am I crazy?’
Alice pressed down on the words that threatened to burst from her throat. Only a madman would do this, and from what she’d seen of Lawrence Littenverk, he was no pushover. The reason Karus had given him the news was to prevent him from leaving for the Nakran Empire, and there was no way he was going to go to the imperial palace and sit idly by when his plans were interrupted.
“Uh, then…”
She wanted to tell him to go with her, but her mouth wouldn’t come out. She was still afraid to go to the imperial palace. Even though she wore many of her magic tools, the fear still deep in her heart did not disappear. So, Alice only bit her pouty lip.
“It will bleed.”
Lawrence’s loving hand brushed her lips. His fingers, filled with his heat beyond his warmth, brushed her lower lip, and she felt strange. Her heart pounded and her breathing quickened. Alice turned her head away, unable to hide her momentarily flushed face.
When Lawrence’s hand fell off, she was able to breathe deeply.
‘Weird.’
At some point, she showed too much of Lawrence. She didn’t know if it was because of her friendliness or because she was drawn to her Lawrence, who was trying to protect her. But when she was by his side, her heart moved feebly.
The sound of her heart beating in a different way than before rang loudly in her ears and her reddened face did not find its color. Alice put her hand up and pressed her beating heart.
“Why? Where are you sick?”
“N, nothing.”
She couldn’t say her heart was racing because of him. Still, she smiled and said,
“Then I will wait for you to come.”
“I will be sure to leave tonight.”
“Even if someone blocks you?”
“If that was the case, I’ll cut them off.”
“I believe in you.”
A smile crept across Alice’s maritime face. Faced with her beautiful sunlit face, Lawrence heard the thud of his heart. Due to his racing heart, he turned his head away from Alice, too.
