The Fallen Angel Himari - Chapter 12 Abandoned Him
“Bye Mom!”
“Make sure you stay safe out there! Takemi don’t forget your gloves, It’s snowing hard out there.”
“Mmm I will. See you later.” Takemi Kamaye was always boring and he often got teased for it at school. It never mattered to him though because he was in love with the cutest girl in school, Emica Hanae. Emica was always nice to him plus their parents always tried to convince them to get together.
Today he was going to confess to her and make sure she says yes. Takemi was already planning a future for themselves when his thoughts were interrupted by distant screaming.
“SIS WAKE UP! WE’RE GONNA HIT THE GROUND!!!” Rei was screaming and clutching onto Himari. Himari finally drowsily woke up but it was too late, they were already inches away from the ground. Her eyes widened and she protected Rei. *POW*
The ground seemed to crumble at their impact leaving a large hole. The soft delicate snow fell onto Himari’s face and she shivered, she was still wearing summer clothes after all. Without thinking of herself she tried to cover Rei.
“Enter command: summon winter clothes.” Himari muttered under her breath. Then one of her summoning circles appeared and dropped warm winter clothes. Himari quickly put clothes on Rei and then herself. Takemi, who standing a distance away saw them drop to the ground was petrified. He inched over, afraid of what he was going to see but then stopped when he saw Himari protecting Rei.
‘How the hell are they still alive?’ Takemi was confused but he remembered that he was going to be late if he stayed behind. ‘I still have to confess today… But I can’t leave them behind they obviously must be injured to have fell that far and still be here.’ Takemi quickly decided and rushed over to Himari and Rei.
“Hey? Are you okay?” He slid down the meteor shaped hole left by their impact and went to check on them. At the same time he was getting a better look at them for injures. Himari looked back at him with her big blue and gold eyes. For some reason he felt a cord strike in his heart. He quickly put it off and rushed over to her.
“I’m fine… But she’s cold.” Takemi’s worried expression cracked. ‘What do you mean cold?!?! Didn’t you guys just fall a great height? You know, THE KIND YOU CAN DIE FROM?!?!’ Himari stood up and held Rei as if she was holding a baby. She then glanced at Takemi and scanned him.
“A great tragedy will befall you soon. Everyone you know, including your parents and your crush will leave you and you will struggle daily. People will extort you and then you will die a tragic death. If you listen to me you will be safe.” Takemi stared at this stranger in shock. ‘What is she talking about? My parents wouldn’t abandon me and Emica was always nice to me. There’s no way she could be cold-hearted!’ Himari sensed his thoughts and started walking. “Go to school. I’ll be waiting at for you once you change your mind.” And with that she walked away leaving Takemi behind.
Takemi didn’t care anymore and he ran to school. He knew he was late but that didn’t stop him. He needed to do this today. If not he felt he would regret it forever.
….
Later he went to her last class and waited. Finally she walked out of the classroom chatting with friends. Takemi nervously walked up to her. “Emica can I talk to you for a second?” Emica stopped talking to her friends and looked at him with disdain. It seemed she knew some thing like this would happen, “I’m sorry who are you?” She looked innocent but it was the opposite she actually was a venomous person. Takemi paled when he heard that. He then remembered Himari’s words, ‘A great tragedy will befall you soon. Everyone you know, including your parents and your crush will leave you and you will struggle daily. People will extort you and then you will die a tragic death. If you listen to me you will be safe.’
‘No…. My parents wouldn’t leave me….They would never!’ He got really scared and turned around and ran. He ran until everything hurt, his legs were practically screaming at him to stop but he still kept going. When he approached his house he stopped. It was too quiet. He didn’t want what she said to come true. But he still slowly opened the door.
It was as she predicted. Everything was gone. They really abandoned him. He trudged his way into his room. Only his things were left behind. “They did it out of desperation you know.” Takemi turned around. Himari continued, “They were facing a financial crisis. Someone had to be left behind. They were being threatened by loan sharks every day with the price getting higher and higher. Then you would be threatened because you were the one thrown under the bus. Now I’m sure you don’t want to have the rest of the story really happen, do you?”
He wiped away his tears and finally spoke, “What do I need to do?” Himari smiled and returned to her playful self. “You don’t need to do anything! I’ve already got us a hotel room and my sister is there right now. All you need to do is come with me and I’ll protect you!” Takemi stared at her with gratitude. “But we need to go. They’ll be here soon and who knows what they’ll-” *BAM BAM BAM* Himari’s playful expression froze.
“What the hell? They really ran away!”
“There must be something valuable here though! Search around!” She looked really serious as she continued, “Pack all your important clothes. I’m going to take care of some pests. Whatever you do don’t look outside, only come out when I tell you to.” Takemi nodded in approval. If she came here knowing that time was limited then she must have something up her sleeve.
“Princess of death.” She transformed as she walked out ready to face this head on. Her hair turned purple and everything about her was seductive. Her chest and butt got bigger and she was wearing more revealing clothes. But besides all that she had a dangerous aura around her. “Hey looks like we found something after all-” Blood sprayed everywhere. She was too quick. “Ara Ara Is that all you’ve got?” Everyone there realized she was a threat and so they pulled out their guns and started shooting at her. “Beauty blades!” She got some daggers and threw them at every bullet coming after her. Then she stopped playing around when they were out of bullets. She had many hidden weapons on her and she went head to head with the attackers. She pulled a long hand gun out and shot a large majority of the gangsters. Some escaped though to get back-up. “Takemi get your ass over here before their back-up arrives! Or before the cops show up!”
Takemi ran down the stairs with a suitcase and tried not to look at the people sprawled on the floor. She grabbed his hand before running away at their top speeds. Finally when they were near the hotel and away from his house did Himari turn back. All traces of blood were gone and her attitude return to normal. “What are you?” Takemi stared at her confused and slightly scared. “Let’s just say I’m not from here for now. Also don’t mention what just happened to my sister. She doesn’t need to know.” Takemi was sorta mad that she didn’t answer his question but she had a right not to so he just went with it. When they arrived at the hotel Takemi was surprised how nice it was. Himari scanned her key and pushed the door open.
“Go take a shower I’ll go after you. There’s only 2 beds in this room so I’ll sleep with my sister. In the morning we’ll eat and go to school. I need a cover for a little while so I’ll go as a normal student. We won’t walk together so we can clear any misunderstandings that might be brought up. My sister will stay here and I’ve prepared a extra room key for you as well as money.”
“Thank you… I really don’t know what I’d do without you…” Himari sighed and petted him on his head, “Good boy.” But then he had some sudden determination in his eyes as he leaned down further to her lips…
