The Fallen Angel Himari - Chapter 22 Dark Memories
Vivian had failed a attempt to run away again. She failed to run away from home because the guards found her again.
Vivian was dragged back home and when she got there one of the maids escorted her inside.Clack! Clack! Clack!
She heard the familiar high heels stomping on the ground and froze with fear. “Oh is the bastard child back? How many times have I told you about running away huh?” Her mother landed a harsh slap on Vivian’s face making her tremble with fear.
“I’m sorry… please forgive me….” That infuriated her even more. She grabbed Vivian’s collar and threw her around like a rag doll. “Shut up! Don’t you know how much I hate your voice? That’s it I’m gonna tell your father!” If she wasn’t scared before then this really would scare her now.
“No! Please no!” She cried and begged but there was no mercy from the cold woman. She just simply laughed. “Don’t worry once I give birth to your brother you can run away all you like because we won’t even remember you anymore.” Vivian felt so weak and helpless but there was nothing she could do since she was just a kid.
….
Every second felt like a eternity and finally Vivian’s door squeaked open. Her father was drunk and he smiled creepily. “Vivian~”
She shuddered and slowly backed away, “N-No! Someone help me! Please!” He threw himself at her with no regard of the fact that she was still injured.
…
She slumped over. Her body couldn’t handle anymore pressure and she kept passing out. Unsatisfied her father grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her through the house. Finally he found a closet and threw her in.
She shook violently. She hated the dark. She hated this small space. She hated being trapped.
For three days she couldn’t see the sunlight. Finally a maid came to her and picked her up. She was carried to a dressing room where her mother was waiting.
“Get dressed. We’re bringing someone important over so you can’t be looking like a little skank.”
Vivian was dressed by the maids. The dress she wore covered all of her bruises nicks and marks. It was really pretty too so Vivian figured the person coming over was really important.
Finally she walked down the stairs with her mother and saw what looked like a prince down the stairs. He was dressed elegantly and her cheeks turned a little red.
“Vivian.” He greeted her and her mother explained, “In the future we’re going to have you marry him. Please act smart.”
She nodded and started a conversation with him. Really she knew that once they have her brother if anything every happened they could just fall back on Vivian.
“My family is hosting a ball here would you like to come?” Vivian asked him kindly. He smiled and agreed. That afternoon was the first and last time Vivian could ever freely relax.
…..
The next day Vivian went to town to buy food for herself. She went through a shortcut to one of her favorite shops but she heard footsteps behind her.
She increased her pace but so did the footsteps. Finally she started running but tripped. Vivian fell on sharp glass and yelped.
“What’s wrong crybaby?” She looked up at the faces she expected. It was some of the owner’s kids of many shops. So many times they’d gang up on her and bully her just because she was better off.
“Leave me alone!” She shoved one of the kids harshly. He fell and landed on some glass. That angered him so he grabbed a board with some nails hammered in and swung at her. His friends followed and beat her up untill she stopped moving.
When she woke back up it was already night. Slowly she dragged herself back home and her mother was waiting.
Of course with a big event coming up soon she was pissed when she saw Vivian in her current state.
….
Although Vivian was bruised and battered she still had to attend the ball. She tried looking around for the prince but she found nothing. She went outside to have a little space to herself. The moon was bright that night… So bright….
Vivian didn’t know when she fell asleep but when she woke up she smelled something bad. She heard the sounds of cackling as if something was burning.
Vivian saw that the front lawn was completely on fire and she rushed back in. “Mother! Please help!” She called out for her mother but she was pushed aside by her.
“Shut up! Are you trying to ruin this event?” She turned back to the person she was talking to and started apologizing. Not to long later some guests started screaming.
The fire was engulfing the whole house now and everyone was trapped. The ceiling started coming down and crushed many people.
Vivian was frozen on the spot. In desperation some people pushed her aside to try to get out. She felt so numb the ceiling was falling all around her and she curled into the fetal position on the floor.
“Little girl? Don’t you want to survive? Don’t you want to save them?” Vivian looked up. The woman standing in front of her looked like a angel. Vivian slowly nodded.
The angel flashed a beautiful smile, “Then come with.me!” Vivian grabbed her hand and a portal appeared in front of them. Slowly they both walked through it leaving everything behind. Unfortunately this was the begining of Vivian’s nightmare.
…..
Himari awoke from her long dream. She looked around and realized she was in the nurse’s office. She saw her school uniform on the edge of the bed. Slowly she took of the outfit she was wearing.
Himari reached for her uniform when all of the sudden the curtain was pulled open. Haru stood there dumbstruck for a second but immediately had a nose bleed.
She started throwing anything within her range at him, “Close the damn curtain! Pervert!”
When she finished getting dressed she was bright red when Haru re-opened the curtain. “Sorry Himari! I thought you were still asleep!” She finally looked at him.
“Make it up to me by feeding me.” Himari demanded. Haru sighed. “I figured.” He sat on the bed and Himari sat on his lap.
Haru turned red. She’d never go this far before. She ignored him and bit down on his neck.
……
A little later Himari met up with Takemi. Although he was a normal human she had confidence that if she’d just give him a little bit of her blood he’d get stronger.
Her blood was no joke as soon as he took it he immediately couldn’t handle it. Eva had to come in and supervise him. The most important thing he needed was rest and then they could enroll him in.
What he decided to be completely was on his hands. If he wanted to specialize in fire then that’s his only option. Himari just kept Eva with him. Meanwhile she had something more important to talk about with everyone else…
