The Fallen Angel Himari - Chapter 30 Stalker
Vivian took a bite out of the chocolate Haru gave her. “…It’s sweet… So good…” Her face looked sad again so Haru grabbed her hand. Her eyes widened and her face turned red. Haru flashed a big smile and they kept walking around continuing shopping. Vivian looked up at the dark sky and breathed out a puff of cold air.
But then something cold landed on her nose and she looked around. It had started snowing. Her eyes lit up at the sight. Haru looked over at her and smiled gently. He then remembered something and stopped.
Vivian looked at him confused but he continued awkwardly, “Look Vivian, those people are setting up something!” She looked in the direction he was pointing at and turned back to him, “What’re they setting up for?”
He smiled and continued, “It’s for a festival. I had almost forgotten about it too,” She blinked and looked harder, it did appear they were setting up one. Haru continued, “Do you wanna come with me? It’ll be fun. I’ll show you around and we can eat snacks and play games.” Her eyes shined and she nodded excitedly.
“Who do you wanna go with, Haru?” He paused not knowing what she was talking about for a second but then he remembered that she could be anyone. “Hmm… How about you pick? I won’t mind either way, after all you guys are all fun to hang out with.”
She blushed even more and then smiled, “How about me since you asked me? And all of the things you listed sound fun.” Haru smiled but felt a deadly chill behind his back. Vivian felt the same gaze but different.
She whipped her head around but didn’t find anyone suspicious. Haru waved when he saw the others coming back so they both forgot about what just happened. Haru and Vivian ran over to them. But when they caught up there was something off with the way Fumiko was looking at them. (^`w^)
“Ohoho…. Holding hands are we?” She grinned at the sight of Vivian and Haru holding hands, “And I thought you two didn’t have any chemistry together….. Huehuehue who knew?” Vivian hid behind Haru and pouted. Kira wanted to hold Haru’s hand too but she was too embarrassed to say anything. They continued walking around and getting groceries.
By the time they were done it was darker than it had been earlier so they had started going back, “Vivian I still think you should go to school soon. Although it might be a walk in the park for you you have hardly met any of our classmates.” Vivian looked down contemplating about what he said and her grip on his hand tightened.
“Okay Haru, I’ll come back to school with you. And I guess Reiki and Fumiko need to come as well.” She frowned and turned to Fumiko and Reiki, “Which level are you guys? The low level Laxis don’t need to do contracts so you guys might get off scot-free. Only the S rank and up have to.”
Reiki grinned and told her, “I’m actually a A rank so I don’t have to.” Fumiko smiled and opened up some of her snacks, “What good news! I have a A+ rank. No confinement for me huehuehue.”
Vivian’s eyebrow twitched. ‘So I’m the only one who has to do it?! What the hell?!’ Vivian’s rank unfortunately was triple S so she definitely had to do it.
“Oh how I wish I was Chizue. She’s not artificial so whatever rank she is she doesn’t have to do it. And since I’ve know Eva for awhile she must be a rank lower than S!” She felt like crying from the injustice but they had already arrived at the entrance of the neighbourhood so she ran in still holding Haru’s hand. He didn’t expect her to start running so he stumbled before he started running with her. “Vivian slow down!”
Vivian laughed and kept going but she ran into someone unexpectedly, “Oww…” She stood up and patted her skirt down. Vivian helped Haru up before looking at the person she ran into. “Sorry! I didn’t mean to run into you!”
She bowed but Vivian didn’t care. When she tried to see what she was thinking she felt as if something blocked her. Vivian narrowed her eyes but she was stopped from saying anything by Himari who liked monitoring what went on outside, ‘Waa! I only left for a second! How the hell did you run into Aiko? I hate her and her sister! They’re so annoying!’ (See chapter 5 if you forgot who she was.)
Vivian’s eyebrow twitched but she turned her attention to Akio instead, “No problem.” She went around her and Akio was confused by the annoyance in Vivian’s voice. ‘I’m sorry….’
Vivian waved Haru and Kira goodbye before going into her house. When the trio got home all of the furniture they had gotten earlier was in the middle of the entryway. The three siblings moved all of their things to their rooms and put out the kotatsu. When Vivian started it up she looked excited and finally sat down on a cushion. “Hah….” Her face was filled with pure bliss and Rei joined her. “So warm~” Vivian’s eyes shined, ‘Mission accomplished!’
….
When Himari woke up the next day her alarm was going off so she took a quick shower and put her school uniform on. Himari woke everyone up before going to make breakfast. She slid down the stairway rail and got started.
Himari was a great chef after all, for being 8,000 years old you’d have to have some kind of hobby to pass time with. And since they had more food Himari could really go all out. Once everybody came down and ate they followed Himari except Rei. Her school was the opposite way of Himari’s so she went on her way. Himari knew of Haru’s tendency to try and sleep in so she went next door using a key under the rug. Reiki and Fumiko waited outside for her and Kira was already gone because she had to go to her club today. She actually ran track and Himari only found out about it a couple of days ago in a conversation with Haru.
She opened his door and was surprised to see that he was lazily sleeping on a futon (1). She kneeled by him and couldn’t help but remember when she kissed him. She blushed and leaned down slowly. But before she could she felt a striking pain inside. ‘Hey!’ Vivian knew what Himari was up to.
‘Why do you even care humph!’ She was mad but went back to going to wake him up. “Master… Hey…Wake up!” She shook him but not violently so he woke up looking peaceful. Himari was on her knees and looked triumphant when she successfully got him up.
He looked under her skirt and got a nosebleed, “Oh so I guess today is blue huh?” Himari turned redder than a tomato and when they finally left the house Fumiko noticed a big red slap mark on his face, “Oh so active in the morning, my goodness.”
Himari glared at Haru who just laughed helplessly. They were almost at school when Himari remembered something and started laughing, “I forgot there are going to be so many ‘new’ students today. Takemi and Chizue are coming too so I guess that makes four of you!” At the same time Kodomo’s eyebrow twitched as a familiar face kept popping in her mind as she looked through the files of the two new students profiles.
When they got into school the siblings had to sit in the office and fill out application papers for Reiki and Fumiko. When they finished Himari looked drained as she filled out the last form. Kodomo happened to be in the office when she saw Himari but didn’t recognise the people next to her.
Then she thought about the sudden new students and she looked over at the two people next to her, ‘So that asshole was the culprit! I’m gonna double her work grrr…’ Himari sneezed and looked around confusedly, “Who’s out to get me?”
Kodomo walked over to her but something about her gaze was sinister, “Oh I thought you had dropped out of school? Who knew?”
Himari knew she had a punishment in store but she still felt like crying, “I’m sorry Kodomo-Sensei…”
….
Himari was punished with even more work than everyone and when she finally left the classroom she kept feeling a chill behind her back. Everyone around her kept looking at her weirdly too as if something happened while she was gone.
Her ear twitched in frustration and her tail was straight up the whole time. Finally she couldn’t take it anymore and whipped her head around. But something slammed into her chest at full force and she almost coughed up blood. She fell onto the floor because the amount used was too great, and she didn’t even expect it. (# _* *)_
“My goddess! I missed you so much! You weren’t anywhere I looked and now you’ve come back to me!” Himari felt a instant headache as she listened to the girl who had pounced onto her tell the story about how she had been stalking her and even hacked the cameras to watch her in class.
Himari laid on the ground and waited for back up. ‘So I have a fangirl? Great.’
