The Fallen Angel Himari - Chapter 34 Hell Of A Week
As expected it was an absolute hell of a week. The coach seemed friendly but as soon as it was time for them to start exercising and dealing with weapons she was worse than Lucifer. For Himari, Reiki, Fumiko, Eva, Koroko, and Chizue this was only making them break out into a sweat but for everyone else, it was as if she was either trying to break all 206 bones or turn them into steel. The boys and girls were separated into different gyms but the girls could still hear the painful cries of agony. Apparently, it was worse at the other gym. The girl’s gym teacher had short brown hair and dimples on her cheeks. Miss. Akiyama was a sweetie outside gym but a total hellspawn inside. Meanwhile, in the boy’s side, Mr. Takahashi was rumored to actually be a king of hell. Haru knew it wasn’t true because he actually went to hell to meet Lucifer but that didn’t stop him from believing. For the past week, Himari couldn’t talk to any of her friends because they were too tired or in the hospital. Yes, the hospital. For most students, it was too much so they were in the nurses’ room which they had quickly learned to call a hospital because of the insane injuries she treated. Only after having to send multiple people down there did Himari learn her name, Miss. Majo. Himari called her Miss. Mai though because it was cuter than ‘Witch’. (Majo means witch in Japanese.)
Soon it was time for everyone to get into groups. In Himari’s group, there was Haru, Aria, Koroko, Shinji, Serina, and Aya. Koroko was sad that she couldn’t spend that much time with Chizue but she didn’t show it. Himari and Reiki were celebrating being together. The four humans were too exhausted to celebrate. Aria and Aya really had a hard time because they were naturally princesses in the family so to suddenly do so much work was *just terrible* for them. The official start was on Monday and they were given cars to go where their profiles told them to. For Himari’s group, they had to go to a casino and assassinate a dangerous mafia group. The casino event was more like a gala with dangerous and risky games though. All sorts of important people would be there.
Everyone blinked in surprise when they saw what they had. They almost cried tears of joy when they found out that they didn’t have anything lame. After the weekend they got into their SUV. Himari drove the first shift and got gas and food at a nearby gas station. Sometimes they would fight over music and trying to piss everyone off in these arguments Himari would roll all of the windows down and leave the sunroof open so their voices would get drowned out and everyone would get cold.
It was no surprise when Himari was quickly banned from being the driver. The driver got to pick the music so there were no more arguments after that. At least not about that topic. Koroko couldn’t drive because she was too tiny. When she tried they were pulled over many times because it looked like nobody was driving the car Himari would snicker thinking about it. Koroko gave her a warning glare every time so she’d quickly shut up. As if things weren’t bad enough there was a small-built on tv. One would be stupid to think they weren’t fighting about how loud the radio was while the tv was on, or if there was something playing someone didn’t like even though they could just put on something on their phone. There was wifi, room, snacks, and who got to drive everyone fought over as well.
There were unnecessary stops too because Serina had carsickness. When they checked into a hotel they all looked as if they traveled around the world in a tin can instead of an 8-hour drive. At one of the gas stops, there was no bathroom so Haru and Reiki had to go outside. It didn’t help that there were wild animals outside and they had to haul ass and get into the car while the girls were screaming and not trying to let them in because they hardly could pull their pants up and there were rabid animals outside. As soon as animals with possible rabies were thrown into the mix all the training that put them in the hospital several times disappeared.
Haru and Reiki had to run into the gas station after the girls left them for dead and drove off with the car. When they desperately told the gas station employee to get a shotgun and told their story he appeared to try (tried and failed to their misfortune) and hold back his laughter after he tried to explain to them that they were friendly and were overly ‘affectionate’, especially with new people. Haru and Reiki were convinced otherwise because they either tried to bite their asses off or r*pe them right in the middle of the woods at night while they were just trying to do their ‘business’.
When the girls hesitantly came back the two guys shuddered as they could feel the piercing gazes of all of the animals behind them, watching them as they left. After that, the two had an unspoken hatred of deer.
There was more groaning about the hotel situation but after a while, everyone gave it a rest and went to bed because they were tired after sitting in a car for 8 hours. The next morning they gathered up at breakfast to discuss a plan among themselves. “First things first I think we need to sacrifice Haru and Reiki to wolves this time!” Himari spoke up first and Haru and Reiki attacked her with glares across the table. Koroko shook her head and spoke up next, offering a good idea, “We should stalk them then when we go to the gala we know what their plan is so we can cut off any escape routes, protect any party goers, and kill our target cleanly. Then if we do this under a disguise we can go around town to explore and go home within the required time. Of course, I’m talking as if there is going to be no issues but since it’s our first time I’m sure we’ll be fine if we make any small mistakes.”
Everyone agreed and so their first meeting ended so they split up so everyone could get started on what the were assigned to do.
