The Fallen Angel Himari - Chapter 8 Reis Revenge

Rei woke up once again but wasn’t in the same bed as before. She was sleeping with Himari who looked so peaceful while sleeping. As soon as she felt Rei’s curious gaze on her she slowly opened her eyes and explained, “After you ate dinner last night you demanded not to sleep alone and You slept by my side clutching me the whole time.”

“O-Oh I really did that huh…?” Rei was just glad Himari didn’t hurt her so she had more faith in Himari. Then she allowed her to help her get dressed in better fitting clothes and let her put some of her hair in a bun while leaving the rest flow down.

“Here put this hair-clip right here…” Himari helped her adjust a beautiful butterfly hair-clip near her bun.

“Wow! I look so pretty! Thanks- Oh yeah that’s right! I never got your name.” Rei stopped looking in the mirror and turned to Himari. “It’s Himari Ichika but you can call me ‘Big sister’~” (Didn’t you say you hate perverts? Loli-con.)

“Huh? Why ‘Big sister’?” Himari smiled devilishly, “Because I’m going to adopt you and I don’t want to be called ‘Mom’. That’d make me sound old!” Rei looked like her soul was just sucked out “A-adopt?!”

“Yup! Now let’s go get your breakfast! You must be hungry!” Rei still had a million questions but seeing how Himari didn’t want to answer she didn’t push it. After eating Himari’s face looked grim. “Now this is the part I hate. Moving furniture…” The grim look on her face increased “Especially .” Himari shuddered thinking about Ami and her stupid sister Aiko. If they saw Rei they definitely wouldn’t leave Himari alone. (Somewhere nearby Aiko and Ami sneezed at the same time.)

“Sis you know we can get it delivered online and why do we even need it anyway?” Himari sighed and answered Rei’s question gently “For your new room. You want it to look nice for your new friends right?”

“Friends?” Rei was dumbfounded ‘Is she going to take me to school?’

“Yup! And there are kids in this neighborhood around your age too!”

“Hey! Don’t read my thoughts like that!” Rei was clearly flustered. Himari laughed and said, “Let’s go clothes shopping then!” And then Rei spent the whole day running around getting clothes with Himari and trying different foods. Every time their hands got too full Himari would open a portal to Rei’s new room. Then Himari and Rei ended the night by sleeping on the couch after watching movies. The next morning Rei woke up to Himari watching T.V. putting her feet on the coffee table and next to her feet were adoption papers and a platter with a lid on it. Himari who had been flipping through channels noticed Rei had woken up smiled

“Here eat your breakfast and then we’ll get your parents to sign this handover. When you get into school if anyone asks our parents are overseas on business and we don’t know when they’ll be back okay?” Rei froze when she started talking about her parents. She was deathly afraid of them. Hot tears started rolling down her face. Himari turned and hugged her she started petting her head something both Himari and Rei loved and she started whispering to her. “Don’t worry as long as I’m here I won’t let anything happen to you…” And with that Himari led Rei upstairs to doll her up. When they finally left the house they just managed to bump into a ‘certain someone’.

“Oh! Himari who’s-” That’s all Aiko could say before Himari turned to Rei with a disgusted face and yelled, “Run!” Himari grabbed Rei’s hand and ran as fast as she could leaving Aiko and Ami (who just got there) behind.

“S-Sis why’d we run from them? They seemed really friendly.” Himari almost puked rainbows but instead gagged at the thought of being friends with them. Once Rei saw the disgusted face Himari was making she figured they probably did something to her.

“S-So you should probably lead me to your old house.” Himari quickly changed the subject so Rei couldn’t talk about it anymore. “….. Follow me…” Himari followed Rei obediently in different and weird directions and never once did they see the same spot again so Himari knew Rei knew where she was going.

Finally, they reached their destination. The day had already been gloomy from all the raining but it matched the beat-up house. Rei opened the pretty much useless metal gate it seemed it was only there to stop animals from getting out or in but a human could easily get in. Himari looked around the lawn and frowned. Trash and old, beat up, destroyed, and chewed toys that looked like animals did it was littered everywhere around the lawn. But the thing Himari saw the most was alcohol bottles and beer cans. Rei seemed to be visibly shaking so Himari held her hand to comfort her. When Himari knocked on the door she noticed the T.V. was blaring and she heard a man snoring almost louder than the T.V. and a woman cursing loudly to herself stomping up to the door then swung it open. When Himari saw the woman she looked middle-aged with red curly hair. Her clothes looked like she was trying to impress somebody but they looked shabby to Himari. They weren’t even name-brand.

When she saw Rei she looked pissed she didn’t even really notice Himari. “M-Mom I-” Before Rei could even finish she cut her off with her cruel words, “You selfish little brat so you had the guts to show your slutty little ass back here!” She raised her hand ready to slap Rei and struck down but Himari caught her hand with such force she could hear it cracking. The lady screamed withdrawing her hand. The snores in the house stopped and Himari’s sharp ears heard feet slowly shuffling over. “You little bitch how dare you?!?!” She stepped back as if she had just seen a monster. “Hey hey, what’s this?” Himari turned to see a middle-aged man who was slightly overweight hold his wife on her shoulder, “That little whore came back and found some kind of sugar-mommy to latch onto! That bitch almost broke my arm!”

He turned to Himari and Rei and smiled suggestively. Facing his lustful gaze Rei hid behind Himari. Himari’s eyes hardened after seeing he scared Rei like this. He reached out for Rei’s arm and made sure to brush against Himari’s hand in the process. “Sorry for bothering you we’ll make sure to ‘discipline’ her for running away.” He looked back down at Rei with his lewd gaze. She yelped out of fear.

Himari slapped his hand as hard as she could and took Rei back. Before they could even respond she threw the adoption papers at their faces as hard as she could. “This is what I’m here for you monsters don’t dare ever try to touch us again.” They stared at the adoption papers, shaking. Then Rei’s mother started laughing. “Only if you pay us then will we give away the little monster.” Rei’s dad was obviously displeased. But he couldn’t say anything. He was just mad he couldn’t keep his little ‘pet’ after all that was the only reason he married Rei’s mother but he’d still be getting money so it wasn’t that bad.

“It looks like you two need to learn your place. Destruction.” Suddenly Himari turned into her least favorite killing machine she’d only use on missions. Destruction was evil. She had killed many and loved it. She had the ends of her hair into drills. Not the cute hairstyle but actual drills. Her black dress started at her neck just where she put her choker with a bottle of poison strapped onto it. Then she was wearing a small open vest with grenades hanging off the bottom. Then she had gloves on but they were cut off at the index finger so she could wear the sharpest finger claws on it and on the same fingers was a sharp thread capable of slicing one’s throat. On her one of her stockings a blade was held down by chains on the other was gloves. She wore high heels with blades as the heel. And to top it off she had a huge scythe with a blade on the end on her back. When people saw her they knew she wasn’t playing around.

“Okay!” Her voice was surprisingly cute and childish but then her words turned dark, “You can tell me how you want to be killed or tortured! Huehuehue… Like I’d even give you the option.” ‘Whrrrr…’ Her drills started moving fastly and she pulled her scythe from her back. “Huehuehue…” She stepped closer and Rei’s father paled immediately. He pushed his wife and ran but since he obviously hadn’t run in a long time as he was extremely slow. Destruction’s hair extended and stabbed his calf dragging him back.

“Hahaha!” Destruction’s childish laughter was terrifying as it was so out of place. The man’s screams and cries for help were really getting on her nerves so she called for a ‘silent’ shield where the screams were muted from the outside world and also made them invisible to others. “Y-You Bastard! You tried to leave me with this monster!” Destruction didn’t like her attitude so she walked over dragging Rei’s screaming father with her. Destruction popped open the bottle on her neck and slowly walked over. When Rei’s mother saw her come over she tried to crawl away but Destruction stomped on her arm making it bleed badly. “Hey, Rei? you don’t mind if things get a little more bloody right?” Rei was standing silently just spectating all of this. When Des (I’m gonna call her that for short) called her she looked down at her parents coldly. Noticing that she could be their way out they desperately begged her “Rei! Please, you know Mommy loves you! You know she didn’t mean to!” “You know daddy feels the same way! We won’t do it again we promise!” Rei didn’t even have to decide. She just wanted to see them squirm.

“I don’t mind.” Rei was cold Des liked that about the seemingly weak girl, “Okay!” She poured the contents of the bottle onto Rei’s mother’s arm. It started sizzling up, burning her arm. She screamed in pain but it wasn’t like anyone could hear her. Des continued but made sure they wouldn’t die. “P-Please kill me..” Rei’s mother crawled up to Des but failed. “Sign the papers.” With tears streaming down her face she finally relented and signed the papers. “Now then, Forget.” She scanned her hands over their heads and made them forget Himari and Rei were ever there. Des turned back into a clean Himari who calmly called an ambulance. *Ahem*

“119 what’s-”

“Hello?!?! I was just going through my neighborhood but I saw my neighbors bleeding heavily on the grass I think they might be dead! Please help me!” Himari’s voice changed and sounded like a little girl. When she finished she turned towards a quiet Rei. “C’mon let’s run and get out of here before they get here.” Rei suddenly kicked her dad and turned back to Himari with a happy smile. “Okay! I’m ready now!” She then dragged Himari by her hand and led her all the way back to their happy little home. it was already dark when they got back in.

“Hey, Himari? Thanks for today. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!” Himari suddenly giggled and hugged Rei. “I only did it because I Iove you.” She kissed Rei and turned to go get dinner started but Rei grabbed at her sleeves again. Then on her tiptoes, she kissed her back and said, “I love you too big sister!”
