The Female Cultivator In The World of Men - Chapter 144
“This is the sword I forged for you, taking exactly a week.” Master Yi Feng said handing out the sword.
“Of course, the time inside here,” he said with a cough. Time was spent much slower here. He would be here for a month and only a day would have passed outside.
Le Fang Ling respectfully took the sword and felt it along its edges. Just by looking at the wooden cover, there was nothing impressive about it. she wanted to take it out and see how it was.
“You will get to look inside, but first, we will have a short class,” he said as he motioned her to separate herself from Nagina and Feng Po Po.
He wanted to talk with her alone. Le fang Ling obliged and caught her sword. She and Master Yi Feng sat around 3 meters away from the two girls.

“Disciple Le, I am sure you know the limitation of your spiritual roots,” Master Yi Feng said as soon as he and Le Fang Ling sat down on the ground.
“Of course Master,” Le Fang Ling nodded. Elder Lin also had expressed her concern and worry about this matter. There was Elder Mo who did the same as well. They were all worried about the five elemental spiritual roots that were hard to master. But it also allowed her to have control over all the elements and if developed to a higher tier, even the variants.
This was also the reason why she had decided to develop one of her roots. Although her cultivation became extremely slow as compared to others, it was worth it. As long as she had enough time and a good instructor, she could master all the roots and harness their power.
But time was a nemesis of everyone! She needed to make sure she was strong physically and in other factors even if her cultivation base was low.
Her meeting with dad, as written in the letter was not going to be a pleasant reunion and she knew it. She had to get strong enough to protect herself from any unseen dangers. There was Lilith too, but she too was an unknown factor.
It was a miracle she stumbled upon Master Yi Feng and Feng Po Po.
Master Yi Feng was silent for a while as he too was lost in thought like Le fang Ling. After a while, he spoke again.
“I am glad that you have decided to develop your wind element earlier,” he said as he nodded his head. “And the heaven also smiled upon you,” he added. “They bestowed you with the Wind Maiden, the top tier secret of the Mo Family.”
Master Yi Feng gave a glance at Feng Po Po and sighed. Le Fang Ling heard the restless in that sigh.
“Master, is there something wrong?”
Master Yi Feng shook his head. They were seated separately from Nagina and Feng Po Po so his line of sight was even more evident to Le Fang Ling from where they were seated.
‘Is there something troubling master or is there something wrong with Feng Po Po?’ Doubts ran across her mind and heart.
“I believe I said you can learn the sword technique since you got a spirit,” he reminded her. “Be warned though, she is stronger than you. Far stronger than you can ever imagine,” he said as he formed two tiny balls in his hand.
They looked the same, perfectly identical.
“When any living being comes into existence, this is what a consciousness of any being in the universe looks like, a ball,” he said as he made them float in the air.
Le fang ling looked at them intently. “Our consciousness is a ball? Weird.” She shrugged at this uncanny comparison.
“Ahem, I mean let us suppose,” Master Yi Feng continued to explain what he was saying.
“Each consciousness is trying to overshadow the other, trying to show its superiority in the universe.”
“But that is what keeps the universe evolving and moving forward, the fight and the struggle. This desire for absolute power is what makes the universe THE UNIVERSE and it’s a fact.”
As he was speaking, the balls which were floating suddenly changed their color and size.
But soon, one of them grew larger than the other and gradually started to engulf the ball which was still small.
“What do you think just happened?” Master Yi Feng asked with a curious look in his eyes.
“The existence of the smaller consciousness got erased?” Le fang Ling answered with uncertainty.
“Close but not correct,” he chuckled as he snapped his finger.
Master Yi Feng made the ball drop down on her lap. Pointing at the ball, he asked her to dismantle the ball.
Getting the order from him, she began to peel away at the ball. Surprisingly, it was as soft as cotton. Before she knew it, she had completely peeled away the outer part. Inside, the ball was still there.
“The consciousness did not get erased, it just got overshadowed by a bigger consciousness,” he finally explained what he was trying to say.
“If you want to have her as your weapon spirit, you must be able to suppress her,” he added gesturing at Feng Po Po.
Although Le Fang Ling could not understand why she was to gain absolute control over Feng Po Po, she nodded her head.
Seeing the confusion in her eyes, he decided to explain further.
“I am sure you know that the way someone becomes a deity of an element is by merging with the beast core of a powerful demon. In the case of Feng Po Po, it was a wind demon that brought calamity to the mortal world,” he said.
“She had just subdued the demon for more than 500 years but the beast is still there somewhere.”
“Be careful around her, she is as dangerous as the demon that once made the whole world tremble,’ he warned her.
‘And your soul itself might be in danger as well if you are careless about it,’ he thought to himself as he shook his head.
Le fang Ling nodded her head. “But I am sure she can handle it, she is a good girl,” Le Fang Ling said with a wide smile. “I will make sure nothing of that sort happens,” she nodded her head in determination. She was going to make sure that black veins and muscles that were still present on Feng Po Po’s body will also disappear someday.
“Master, do you know where the other elemental deities are?” Le fang Ling asked him. Hearing him talk about the Mo Family and the merging ceremony as if it was something he had witnessed himself.
She had very less information about him. Even the small introduction given to him by her system was full of holes and uncertainties. This man, her master was a suspicious person.
“But master, how am I supposed to use the wind spirit in the sword? I mean I haven’t seen people using it. Most I see is people just using the sword. Never have I ever heard of anyone having a weapon spirit,” Le Fang Ling asked.
“That’s a valid question,” Master Yi Feng nodded his head. He was expecting this question sooner or later. Now that it was here, he was more than happy to answer. He patted his robe as he also stood up
“That’s what people are saying, but you should know that a sword is part of your soul, a part of your being,” he said as he raised his hand.
There was a bright array of light and soon it formed a beam of light. When the light finally subsided there was a beautiful sword in his hand. It was in a simple white scabbard but the light it emitted was no joke.
It was full of light, overflowing qi, and energy.
“But there is no way, a sword is just a metal blade right?” he smiled as he respectfully brought the sword forward.
“Unsheathe your sword,” he said to her. Now that the theory class was over, he wanted to show her things more from the practical point of view.
Le Fang Ling stood up from the ground and took a deep breath. She had always wanted her sword. After all, a cultivation world without a sword seemed a bit colorless to her. She, who had always thought that the sword was just an extension, a weapon was going to see what it meant.
“Last time in the town, I summoned my sword spirit in that old blade but since it was not the true sword, I could not show you the full extent of my power,” Master Yi Feng said as he pulled out the sword.
His actions were swift, from unsheathing it to pouring his qi inside. Although it seemed as though he was just standing normally, he was in a stance to use the sword so that it could have the best impact.
“Also, I never told about my spiritual root huh,” he said with a chuckle.
“Watch and see, disciple Le,” he said.
Le Fang Ling widened her eyes in surprise. Everything was sudden, like a dream. In front of her was a long cut in the ground and it stretched as far as her eyes could manage. There was a dark and burnt patch on the green grassland.
It looked as if someone had clichéd open the land and burnt it till it became coal.
The culprit, aka her master, took a deep breath as he sheathed his sword and sighed.
“My skills are getting rusty,” he turned to look at Le fang Ling, Nagina, and Feng Po Po.
“But is enough to show to youngsters like you.”
