The Female Cultivator In The World of Men - Chapter 145
“As you can see, my spiritual root is fire element-based spiritual root, hence my weapon spirit is a type of fire spirit,” Master Yi Feng said looking at Le Fang Ling. She was holding on to her sword as she looked at the cut in the ground in awe.
“That is why I said it was good you found a wind spirit when you are developing your wind-based spiritual roo.”
Le Fang Ling nodded.
“But before I teach you how to work with a certain spirit, there is a most important thing,” Master Yi Feng said as he produced two wooden swords in his hand. “You need to know how to wield a sword!”
Le Fang Ling looked at the sword he was carrying and wondered why he brought them out. She already had her sword ready… Just as her thought was starting to trail, Master Yi Feng explained his reasoning.
“As a beginner, if you use a heaven-grade sword such as the one I have forged for you, you will not be able to control it,” Master Yi Feng handed one of the swords to Le fang Ling. ‘ Look at yourself, you can barely hold the sword with both hands.” He pointed at her slightly trembling hand.
“It is heavier and hard to control. If you try to practice using a real sword, you will reach nowhere,” Master Yi Feng said sternly as he positioned himself with the wooden sword. “Not only will you not learn anything, but you will also end up getting hurt instead.”
Le Fang Ling looked once more at the sword. It was beautiful and sharp but her Master was indeed correct. She could not handle the sword properly as of now. If it was not for her physical training, she would have been rushed under the weight of the sword.
‘It lives up to the name of a heaven-grade sword,’ Le Fang Ling thought with a satisfied smile as she placed it back in its scabbard. It was still not the time for her to use this. By unsheathing the sword, she had witnessed the beauty and terror of the sword but as for using it, she was going to have to wait until she had fully mastered the basics.
She placed the sword on the ground and picked up the wooden sword instead. The difference between the wooden sword and the heaven-grade sword that she had carried was like that of earth and heaven.
‘This is too light!’ she widened her eyes in surprise at the difference. Following the stance of Master Yi Feng, she took a deep breath.
“Master, I am ready!”

“There is more to swordsmanship than just cutting!” Master YI Feng’s voice echoed in the hill. Compared to usual, his voice was extra strict and loud.
They have been learning the basics of the sword for the past 4 hours without even taking a break. Le fang Ling was sweating profusely as she sliced through the air for the nth time. Her arms were starting to get tired from the continuous strikes she was doing. Even her legs were starting to tremble a bit. Her legs could give out any minute now.
“Understood Master!” Le fang Ling said as he finished her last strike. With this, she finally could enjoy her short but sweet hard-earned break.
Master Yi Feng nodded his head at her latter strikes in satisfaction. Even though it was like teaching a newborn baby, his disciple was hard working and captured the knowledge early on. Yet, he forced her to repeat the same movements for thousand times to build her stamina and engrave everything into her muscle.
Even if her mind forgot it, her muscles definitely won’t!
“No time to rest,” he clapped his hands as he made her stand up once again. That was just the basics of feet, arms, and hands. There were still many more and they were just getting started.
“Remember, cutting things using blades, that’s something everyone does. Even a mortal lady uses the blade to cut vegetables, a butcher uses blades to cut meat, but as cultivators, you need to focus on proper placement of you, your enemy, and techniques,” Master Yi Feng took hold of the wooden sword once again.
“Till now I made you fix your standing position and posture, the arm and hands and feet work, but now I will show you how it looks when you combine all of them,” he said as he distanced himself from her a bit. He was standing alone in the grassland with one hand holding the wooden sword while the other one was left dangling by his side.
Unlike when he was using his sword, he did not appear as intimidating as before. Master Yi Feng started to swing the sword slowly at first while standing on the ground without moving. His movements were slow but soon, they started to gain momentum.
It looked as if he was dancing in the wind. No! It was not as simple as dancing. He was fighting in the air, with an imaginary opponent as he moved fluently and elegantly. Le Fang Ling was dead tired and exhausted but looking at her master who was effortlessly wielding the sword.
‘Psst, Nagina! Is there any way for me to regain the stamina?’ she asked inside her head. She had already lasted for 5 hours with her current stamina and strength but given that she had no time to waste, she wanted to copy whatever her master was doing.
‘Your points are fairly distributed to your body and your skills that you have triggered till now have nothing that can restore stamina,’ Nagina who was still waiting for her to be done replied. She was sitting with Feng Po Po on the sidelines as she watched her host train with Master Yi Feng.
She had recorded everything her Host was doing since she had nothing better to do.
‘Is there no way to get it?’ Le Fang Ling lamented.
“Oh right!!” Her eyes glistened when she remembered something.
‘What about my daily missions and rewards?!’ Le Fang Ling remembered that there was still that. Since she did not get any type of notifications she had forgotten about it. Now that she was in dire need of something, she knew she had to find any way to get it.
Nagina: “…..”
“Host, did you forget that you did not complete the mission?” Nagina sighed outwardly and inwardly both.
“You cussed the first thing you opened your mouth, you automatically failed the easy mission!”
“You did not break through to any realm as you did not cultivate and only trained a bit!”
“As for the third mission, since the wind maiden was released from the scroll, it can be counted as deciphering the scroll. But you still haven’t found the secret tale of ancient history fully or so have been determined by the system.” Nagina informed her of the previous mission detail.
“Until this bug is fixed, your daily missions are suspended for a bit along with the reward and the punishment. Until you get more information from Feng Po Po and learn to wield a bit of her power, the previous mission will still be counted as half done.”
Le fang Ling listened to her with a bit of disappointment. In the end, not only could she not gain the rewards from daily missions, due to unforeseen bugs, they got suspended.
“What about an exchange offer? Isn’t there something of that sort?” Le Fang Ling asked her.
Nagina was thoughtful for a while. She knew her host was rushing things and trying to outsmart her body and mind by using cheats. As her system, she could fine loop in her rules to provide something to her host but…
“Host, there is a way,” Nagina said a bit unwillingly.
Le Fang Ling heard the concern in her voice but she knew she had to do it. “Bring it on Nagina, I am not afraid!”

Master Yi Feng was in his world as he played with the sword like it was an extensible part of his body. But his attention was quickly grabbed by a certain someone who was copying him.
He did not stop his movement as he observed Le fang Ling used her sword to reenact what he had taught her. Her actions were a bit slower at first as she tried to get the hang of the things but after trying for a few minutes, she was already getting used to it.
“Heh, that was impressive,” he chuckled at the perseverance of his student. He had thought she was only going to watch him from the resting area. After all, it was her first time using and playing around with a sword.
It was only fair she was tired from it.
“Oho, at the same speed as me,” he raised his eyes in surprise when he saw how quickly she caught up with his movement. He too slowly started to increase his speed. He continued to do so until he saw that Le fang ling was getting a bit tired.
“Okay, we will stop here for today,” he said as he stopped himself. He respectfully bowed down and kept the sword in the grass.
Le fang Ling heard his instructions to stop and she too paused. Taking a long and shallow breath, she thanked him with a smile.
Master Yi Feng looked at the horizon and saw that it was getting darker.
“Not much time has passed in the outside world, still I think it’s better if you three leave, for now, I will contact you when we have our next practice.”
“Thank you, master!” Le Fang Ling said as she wiped the thin layer of sweat on her forehead. She was starting to feel the fatigue return back to her body.
